  1. It's really ironic how it's such a technical sport where not much actually happens, and yet the thickest of the thick are the ones who play it. On a different note, a Facebook ad alerted me to the fact that I can enrol for voting since I was back down under for over a month, so now I'm all set for that!
  2. Well the US did better today than expected - couldn't believe how well their defence held in the first half. I had a few mates over who were curious about the World Cup and I was trying to explain why things are the way they are in rugby, not necessarily the rules, and the general consensus was "wow, I didn't know rugby was so intense. It just doesn't stop!" I hate American football. So, so much.
  3. I know the feeling, I blew it all in New Zealand. Skydiving ain't cheap, even if it's cheapest there. :p I leave in mid-September, as does most of the state west of the Cascades. I'm getting so pumped!

So how'd you get that kind of job set up? I've got connections from my work experience in journalism now that could help me get one of those holy objects (press passes).

  4. If Sammy's comment there v v v v v was a Facebook comment, I would so like it.

  5. Not to great but improving atm, I'll pm you.

  6. Alright then underling!

I feel as though you are now my superior. Which of us is the eldest again?

  8. Queen Gemsy, where you been? The Doctor Who thread needs your presence.

  9. FINALLY saw the Naked And Famous tonight! Massive thanks to _Ed_ for pointing out that they were opening for Foals and that Foals was changed to an all-ages show. My mates and I made a sign for them. Alisa in particular got a good laugh out of it. She said something along the lines of "thank you Seattle for the warm welcome... and the sign!" and being three from the front or so I shouted back "Hello from Auckland! Welcome to Seattle!" They didn't play Serenade, unfortunately, but the sign's still alive, even after Foals, but judging by how well they were received I daresay they'll be coming back to the US in due time. And once again massive thanks to _Ed_ for the notification!
  10. My newspaper keeps publishing my articles with my mug from four years ago that I do not look like anymore, instead of the one I submitted to them at the beginning of last year and have resubmitted twice since. I feel your peevedness.
  11. PENDULUM IS. But much Radiohead is also. :phu:

  12. I was pleasantly surprised at our last dance in that there were Gorillaz, Pendulum, and MGMT tracks played. It was phenomenal. Mostly just the drama kids really dancing, but that's all that mattered.

  13. If I could somehow get Radiohead played at my senior prom life would be complete. :awesome:

  14. I'm not in AP Bioland lol, my chemistry teacher just happens to teach it too. Ironically, I love my GPA-breaking teacher, on account of her coolness. Honours Euro was just hard.

  15. Yeah I remember you telling me about him! Lucky having a good calc teacher though. My calc tutor is fantastic, but I only see her once a week. My actual teacher is a total cunt that can't teach. My tutor is the BC teacher at the school and head of the math department, and she says that pretty much none of the staff can stand the AB teacher. She's a bitch.

Mind, so's our AP Bio teacher, but at least she's a really good science teacher. I still remember everything she taught us in chemistry last year.

  16. Oh frakking tell me about it. This last week alone I've been slacking like no other. Nawt gud.

Also watching Battlestar Galactica with mi padre now, tis far more fun than calculus (which I'm writing a legitimate article about the uselessness of. :D)
