    It's a Common App essay, so it's basically about whatever I want, a chance to show of my writing prowess (which is my strongest academic suite after all).

     

    I've got it structured around depression and using my god-like expository writing skills, I will show how I have twisted a disadvantage into an opportunity. Namely, in the form of increased creativity in songwriting, and a boost in critical thinking abilities. Boom. It will rock. I have it planned out. I just need to do it. :(
