I was the same way after the book regarding wanting to be in a gang! It seemed like there was a degree of honour and bravery in manliness (shut up, at one point I was significantly more masculine) involved in no-gun gangs. Nowadays I wouldn't even consider it though, there's nothing brave about pulling a trigger.

I'm actually working in a library up here! I graduated from college in April, looked for jobs around the country for 6 months, and was finally hired by a college up here. It's nice actually, the people are incredibly friendly!

What kind of work are you looking for in the US?

I'm sorry! I'm going off of memory, I haven't seen the movie since grade 8! And to be honest it didn't do a lot for me compared to the book, and compared to Rumble Fish.

Something about the movie just clicks with me, I think I get the motorcycle boy. He knows things without knowing how he knows them, or why they're true. His dad saw that, he called it an "acute perception". He's not crazy, in spite of what the cop thinks. The cop to me just represents society. One which doesn't want to understand.

I suppose I could ask my friend who linked me in the first place. She helps me out a lot though, so I feel guilty asking her for other things! I did buy her nice tights for Christmas though...so maybe she will help.

I've only read the Outsiders actually, how is Rumble Fish as a book? And forgive my ignorance, but who is C. Thomas Howell?

My Christmas was ok. I don't have a computer at home so I haven't been on, in fact I'm at the school right now as my computer still hasn't arrived!

How was yours? Oh and don't be afraid to tell me if you don't like the movie, not a lot happens in it and in the end the underlying concept itself is very simple. I just like seeing Mickey Rourke put on such a subtle performance, it's actually my favourite movie.
