  1. I didn´t understood a single word of their lyrics either. They played at such a high volume that the guitar literally drowned the voice.I can´t remember whether I clapped or not, because I tried to sync it to White Lies´ "To Lose My Life",which reminds me of Starlight, both in lyrics (with a darker tone,of course)and the rhythmic section. But I think I even headbanged in the "I´ll never let you go..."part.I think I spent half of the concert headbanging...But not too hard.I guess I was in the right mood, because I remember I thought that "Uprising" looked like a politics demonstration, with Muse as the party leaders and us as the mindless followers.Pretty scarying,if you ask me.

The effects helped a lot,I reckon, but there were some moments in which I spotted "old Muse".

I have a special tee then :p I liked how "basic" it was and how the starry parts blended with the shirt, creating a "whole".

I liked the music as well.I think I even cheered when they used a Nina Simone song as the ending of one of the chapters...Did I make you grin Simm style? Oh,wonderful! I like it.:D (poor attempt at Simmmgrinning-now that´s a word!-).

  2. I didn´t hear the "lyrics" either. To my ears it was something like "fsygg...rfd...funifrrrs"Or maybe I was too amazed to understand anything :p I can´t say I´m a big fan of The Biff,so playing the singles helped a lot! "Mountains" have become a great tune for me.I bet the ones by my side (who didn´t know who they are) were pretty confused, seeing me enjoying the song.

"Starlight" has never been my cup of tea,so I wasn´t too moved by it,as with "Guiding Light","Resistance" or "Undisclosed Desires" (too weak, but the intro was superb).

    I love "Man With A Harmonica",but I think this (

)would fit even more.Especially after my mp4 player decided to place it after KoC without a reason.

I got that black tee with the golden logo.I´m not too fond of the "In Rainbows"design.Yet I nearly bought a poster :p I also thought about getting the t-shirt with the Exogenesis artwork and the "cubed" tourdates.

That´s what I liked of the series: even after having finished I still wondered what had happened.Sadly, the Spanish version ruined it all "thanks" to the lack of viewers.Sam (they kept the name,as well as the Gene&Sam stuff you talked about) literally saw the light at the end of the tunnel/time gate after his father issue, and asked "Annie" (I think her name was kept, just in its Spanish equivalent)to go with him,but ultimately both stayed in the past.I wonder how the American writers sorted it out.

You might not be at your best, but that drawing´s awesome.I´m sooo saving it! :D

  3. Well,I´m writing these lines under the MuseSpell. The concert was astounding! I sat in the wrong part,so I was surrounded by people in their late twenties who didn´t feel like going to the pit.I liked the interlude music: Cansei de Ser Sexy,The Flaming Lips,The Arctic Monkeys...Biffy Clyro were powerful as Hell, but it was like seeing a taped gig from the sofa of your living room.Still,I sang like nuts to most of their songs. After some electronic music "We Are The Universe" haunted us all...we even sang the Doctor Who-esque synths of "Uprising"!Personally,I enjoyed this gig more that the BHAR tour one, despite the lack of "Bliss","Muslce Museum" or "Citizen Erased".The effects were stunning, especially the lasers in "New Born".Chris was at his most headbangiest, and Matt jumped around.Predictable setlist, but at least we got "MK Ultra" and the Burning Bridges riff.Someone threw Matt a bra :p And it seems Kirkeh&co recorded some footage so as to use it in "Resistance".

After finishing the gig I headed for the underground station when I saw a crowd I joined after knowing they were waiting for Muse. And we waited until the bus left the place. Then I returned home, with a brand new Muse tee. It´s a bit small, but meh.

Wait...how come he will die if he´s technically dead? I understood he committed suicide so as to go to the past because it was the "reality".I like Gene as well, even if I hated him at first due to his rude manners, but then I saw it was on purpose so as to "clash" his style and Sam´s.

  4. The phone still features the Composer,so be sure I´ll have fun attempting to create tunes.I once took my old grandma´s phone out of boredom, and I made a verse of "Fillip" and the riff of "Sleep Now In The Fire".Regarding the gig,I´m going in a matter of minutes!

If you want the bootleg I will kindly send it.I still remember how I recorded the one they recorded last time (first leg of Absolution tour) on tape. How things have changed...

I didn´t listen to The Biff in the end,but I´ll give SSSC a listen.Or two.Reading a lot for Literature? Count me in.At least I got all the books off Google Books...

  5. It´s not I listen to them everyday, but I used to have "Voodoo People" as my ringtone.By the way, today I got a card plus a new phone for a ridiculous amount of money, for I´m seeing Muse tomorrow! :D And it´ll be recorded by (oh surprise!)the top 40 radio station.I should have a Biffy Clyro marathon...

I´ve never understood what´s the big deal with The Arctic Monkeys.Sure, they´re good, but not THAT good.

That´s EXACTLY what happened to me with System Of A Down,as I reckon I already told you.I would be really angry if it happens with Radiohead as well.Speaking of RATM,I´ve listened to Street Sweeper Social Club for the first time.I liked it.

I have to say I´m scared to death when it comes to study certain subjects. One of them has a zillion pages to be read, and I´m not joking.

  6. By this order: The Prodigy (+ Enter Shikari,I really liked their first album),Editors (can´t say I have listened to them to death, but I like them) and The Arctic Monkeys (not my cup of tea until I watched their live DVD in the cinema a year ago).

It wouldn´t be the first time something similar happens. Some years ago there were a bunch of gigs I wanted to attend so bad (Franz Ferdinand,Antony &the Johnsons and Sigur Rós) and I didn´t make it to any of them. I was really, really gutted :(

I don´t know how I manage to do it,but I almost always get pretty decent marks by stodying a little.I am still amazed I could pass all those important exams.I just feel I have no time. You can´t imagine how much I miss playing Digimon 3! I wonder whether I´ll be able to find a certain online guide which basically opened my eyes.I think one of the most frustrating moments in my life happened when I found out that I would never be able to pass the game because I skipped two compulsory sidequests...

I have yet to prepare my presents.I do know what I want for me,though :p

  7. Cool! I´m still waiting for my father to buy me some tickets for some gigs I want to attend, but something tells me I won´t go to any of them. :(

I´m thinking about watching Life On Mars again,as I missed some chapters the first time it was aired. But I don´t seem to have time...

  8. In my case I go to sleep at 2:30,waking up at 7:30.I nap from 3 to 7.I nearly sleep the same amount of hours!

You can reply to everything tomorrow.I feel quite dizzy, but I don´t want to go to sleep right now, because my twisted logic says that it could be even worse. It scares to be me...

  9. Well,at least she liked it! :D

I like to sleep like a log,but I tend to find myself awake late at night, thus sleeping 6 hours.Needless to say,I need to nap afterwards. No,not at class.I just have to stay four hours in Uni (five from Monday to Wednesday),which I consider an improvement if we think that in my final school years I was there for, what, six hours? It seems we won´t have Advertisement tomorrow, yay!

I have always been interested in the Universe as well.I´m sure you already knew :p

Even if I had to ditch Physics due to my lack of maths skills,I like to read books about the matter and watch documentaries about planets and whatnot.I still remember how I literally forced my grandparents to watch a chapter of Carl Sagan´s "Cosmos"about Mars.Yet they didn´t get why did I squeal when they discussed about the true nature of Cydonia Mensae...By the way,I have yet to read "Hyperspace".I´m such a bad fan that I haven´t reached the chapter about symmetry yet!

I like to gather facts about everything, especially if I´m not forced.I used to read all the books I had to use at school as soon as we were told to get them.

  10. Let´s see if I can come up with something interesting then :)

Today we had to record a programme."Luckily",the teacher came to see my group right when I was presenting my guest, and I had to repeat it three times.

I don´t know why,but "weird things" happen to me almost every day.I call them "coincidences" or "ZOMFG I have powers!".

There´s nothing bad about being a nerd, but it´s different from being someone who wants to know a lot. There was a time in which I was both.Now...I ´m trapped in apathy.

  11. Well,if you can,I´d love to prepare something for you as well. You show me all your masterpieces and I´ve barely shown you some lines.

Like a farmer? Oh dear  We have to record our own radio programmes for one of the career subjects, and I´ve found out that I have a squealing voice. It´s awfully shameful,I tell you.I think I have no future on the radio :p

Speaking about the radio,I´m 100% convinced that the best programmes are those aired in late night/early in the morning.I couldn´t sleep some days ago,so I decided to listen to the radio. There was a feature in Alexander The Great, and the guy said that there was a theory which said that it could be that the remains of St. Marcus, placed in Italy, were Alexander´s true remains.I couldn´t help thinking of The Volturi.Guess which song was used at the end of the feature? "Bella´s Lullaby"!

I also need my phone for that.If I want music,I have my player. If I want videogames,I have my console. And so forth.

  12. I´m still trying to imagine my friend´s face when he opened the inbox, finding it full of mails.I forgot to ask whether he got the portaloo thing,or Matt´s subsequent reply,"Even worse...we´re twapped in hyperspwace!".

You don´t have to feel sorry. It stopped working because of my lack of usage.I only took it with me when I was going out,and that happened once in a blue moon.I´ve only had two phones as well, but I got my first one when I was thirteen or so.It was a pretty good phone if we consider when was it released, but it froze up now and then.

I can´t believe it as well. They´re playing at San freaking Siro! As a football enthusiast and a music lover, this is just dazzling. We´ve been talking about why these days: no one seems to know them yet they play in football stadiums now!

  13. I got a piggy bank last time we did that. The funniest part was that the one giving me the present was my desk partner.I wasn´t expecting it at all,as he didn´t say a word about it.Not that I was interested...

Good to hear I´ve inspired you! :p

That day was also the birthday of another friend, and I completely forgot about the other one.I was planning to record some songs on a CD,but I had none.

Plan B,here we go: I decided to send the songs by mail,no matter how long it would take.Out of boredom,I included some little pieces of text with every mail.By the third mail I decided to link them all with this story:all of them were playing in a festival curated by one of the musicians. One of the subplots involved a time travel.Starring Muse.I came up with the following story so as to explain why I had included old songs:young Muse were about to play at a small festival when they ended up in a portaloo which was a time machine in disguise. To quote Dom,"we´re stuck in the Turdis!".As I told you, there were also standalone "chapters".For example, there was one in which Guy from Coldplay was wondering why were they playing in such an "indier" festival. It was a shame I didn´t save the text.

My mobile phone is officially dead.Well, not the phone itself but the card. And I can´t be arsed to boy a new one.And the Muse concert is nigh...

  14. That´s why I will write it as if it was a book.Actually,I thought of buying one of those notebooks which look like old books (to give it a "mystic" feel),but I didn´t like what I have found so far.I once made something similar, but I linked all the songs with a simple excuse: a music festival. This story, which had some subplots and an in-depth explanation of what the characters (the musicians)were thinking in every moment, was considered by a certain reviewer (me!)as the best story ever written by the one who´s typing this right now as it had some quality despite having been written in a rush.

Gee,I hated that. Not because of spending money :p It was just that I had no clue about what to buy as I barely knew my school partners.

  15. This is my plan.I´m going to record a compilation. Then I´ll write a "commentary" on each song.I´ll choose the subject and form depending on my mood and what I consider to be the best form for every text/song.I might add some drawings as well. How? I still don´t know.Today I went to a shop so as to but a notebook in which I could write...without noticing it wasn´t what I was looking for.Silly me...

  16. Glad to see I wasn´t the only one who thought that! In my case,I went alone to the cinema, and I sat next to some Team Jacob girls.Well,I´d say none of the ones there were boys.I loved that scene with "Hearing Damage"and the following one.

I wanted to see more about Carlisle´s background with the Volturi.

Well,it´s the same here.Show by show.It spreads like the Plague.Skimming across the newspaper,it seems today I´ll only watch a football match and a film.Oh,and this morning I watched a rerun of that Muse special with my mother. She noticed Chris´ headbanging and their lack of rawness. We even spotted the film references in "Knights Of Cydonia"´s video! She loves music as much as I do.

I like the poem.It nods at the series´ spirit and how Sam feels.Don´t worry about the other text.Precisely today I´ve decided to start my next writing. One of my favourite books is ( if you haven´t checked my profile :p )Nick Hornby´s "High Fidelity".I can relate to the mixtape issue. What does it have to do with my writing? Easy.I´m writing a list of commentaries on a mixtape I´ll record as a Christmas gift. These commentaries will take different shapes,eg. stories, short letters...What do you think about this idea?

  17. Museville! I so would move there :p I think we Musers should take Teignmouth as a colony...

There was a Spanish remake of "Life On Mars"as well.A good one,if you ask me,but too short and the jokes were pretty forced. The song was replaced by "Bohemian Rhapsody",and,as you can imagine, there was no BBC Test Card girl (probably one of my favourite characters).Americans tend to do remakes of everything.Think of the Asian films.

That song´s instrumental,so no references to THE Tom Baker, but it seems it´s in his honour.I think it would be the perfect soundtrack to an old Doctor Who chapter. Here it is:

    Gotta love David,sharing "the Doctor Love",coughcough :p

Feel free to translate any texts you want to share with me.I´ll do the same if you want.

Today I went to see "New Moon".It´s waaaaaay better than the first movie.Sure,it has lame and laughable scenes, but the special effects were improved and Carlysle doesn´t look like a porcelain doll anymore. On the other hand,Aro reminded me of Johnny Depp´s Willy Wonka.Overall,I liked it.

  18. I know what you mean.I remember I thought the first time I saw Muse,"where do all this people come from?" Until then,I only knew of a guy who liked them.I also freaked out when, after having seen Franz Ferdinand,I turned my head and I saw that the venue was nearly overcrowded. Some days after I had asked my partners about them and no one knew who were they. And we aren´t talking about the indiest acts ever...

I loved "Life On Mars".I have yet to watch the American version and "Ashes To Ashes".

Another Doctor Who/music funny thing. One of my parents´avourite band is The Human League.Today they asked me to play some music of them on Spotify.I strumbled across their cover of "Rock&Roll",arguably one of the (tons of)songs in which "Uprising" was inspired, which was the sampling base for "Doctorin´ The Tardis".I let the album roll.Guess the name of the next song (don´t look it up :p )? "Tom Baker".To make things better, the latter was produced by John Leckie.

Sorry to hear about your incidents. There´s nothing worse than a beer-smelling thing, especially if it protects a laptop.

Can you believe I don´t know whether I have classes tomorrow or not? One of the teachers told us he´d be out for two weeks, but he didn´t told us if we´d get a substitute or not.I think I´ll use this chance to sleep like a log...

  19. So you also have that kind of problems as well? Before YouTube I had to look for good music/what I liked everywhere, and it wasn´t easy at all. Here´s an example: a certain channel broadcasted that making of Absolution...at 3am.My parents nearly killed me when they found out I was still awake (think of it: I was thirteen!)watching the feature as I couldn´t record it.The first time I watched Muse outside of MTV was at 2am in the second public channel. There was a music channel I used to watch, but it was "killed" because it aired too much indie stuff and "no one watched it".Such a shame...

Precisely my father is watching the telly right now.A series called First Wave.Pretty interesting,if you ask me:blahblah aliens, blahblah resistance.

I have to read tons of books,I have to do a research on an old newspaper 8and this is not a Googleable thing). In my case,I can´t do my homework while I´m on my way because I have to do it in my computer, and I don´t have a laptop.

  20. I was somehow surprised,as that channel broadcasts every week a feature on a certain artist, and it was the first time they had prepared ads.It was awesome to watch the videos on the telly, especially if we consider that I had only watched most on them on crappy YouTube videos.I don´t get that censorship either.Something similar happened with Franz Ferdinand´s video for "Do You Want To".

I´m not saying the drawing was crap,it´s just that it looked weird.Well,Matt´s weird :p

I don´t even understand how you manage to draw so well even if you´re not at your finest, really. The decision is up to you, still.I´m sure you will draw wonderful things in a near future :)

I´m having a pessimist day.Once again,I´ve realised I must be missing tons of things because of being a lazy arse who lives in her own misery. And I don´t want to change it.It´s a circle. For example,I have no interest in doing things anymore, from homework to my writings. That might be the reason I´m currently blocked.

My father nearly broke a chair yesterday :p No,not because of what happened.I spent some time trying to calm my mother down, but she made a fuss when my father came (even if he stayed calm)because she didn´t want to take a pill.It seems she has forgotten about it.

  21. No,I haven´t watched it.I have resumed that Muse special instead. They even reached "Undisclosed Desires",and "Stochkolm Syndrome wasn´t censored! "Knights Of Cydonia"was, and they used the "New Born" edit.

Sorry if this message is too short, but my mother has broken a glass table :s

I´ll edit it as soon as I can.

  22. See? That´s what I meant when I replied to your first message. My first Muse song was "Plug In Baby",but "Bliss" was the song that got me into them.It touched me in a special way.Not even today I can think of similar cases.Yesterday, when I was watching the video,I felt the spirit of that same feeling. When I got their albums, most of the OOS songs made me tremble,in a good way.I even "saw lights" while listening to "Citizen Erased",levitating at the same time.

I do like The Master as well,as he embodies what your classic mastermind is,but he has a special twist which goes beyond the image of the evil guy.

That programme was rather random, wasn´t it? :p

Matt scares me a bit.Gotta love the hair, though!

  23. Something similar happened to me with Maths.I used to be good at it,but we had a really strict teacher in late Primary who used to tell us "we had no idea about anything"Since that very year,I lost all interest-and skills-in numbers. Some years after we had a teacher which explained everything crystal clear, patiently. But it was too late to recover my faith in Maths...

I hate how they have ditched "Bliss".Maybe it´s because it means so much to me,maybe it´s because it symbolizes what was "my" Muse (pwopa wock, balloons, crziness),but I think they must be bored of playing the same songs night after night. It was the first time you saw them, wasn´t it? In that case,it was obvious you wouldn´t be disappointed.I still remember how I "complained" after my first gig about the lack of "Feeling Good" to my poor mother.I don´t know if I´ll buy some merchandishing, mostly because I have never liked a single Muse tee.I would like to go standing, but it seems it will become a massive brawl, and I do want to enjoy the show without wondering whether I will come back home safe and sound.

By the way, yesterday I watched "24 Hour Party People",a film about Madchester´s music scene (Happy Mondays,Joy Division...).I was checking the credits when I noticed that both Chritopher Ecclestone and John Simm (and Andy Serkis!)had played in the movie.I can´t remember who was Chris, but I think John played Bernard Sumner-JD and New Order´s guitarist-.

Yesterday I stood awake until 4:20 am watching a Torchwood rerum. There are times in which I can´t understand why do I do these things!

  24. In my case,I knew I was hopeless at the subject,so I couldn´t blame on anyone.Still,I once got a 9 on a stretch test.I remember I screamed at the very face of the teacher (roughtly translated),"no waaaay!"and the teacher smiled and replied with,"yes, yeees way!".

So you´re seeing Muse today?Have fun and let´s pray that there´s a God to punish them if they don´t play Bliss! If that´s the case,I advice you to bring some rotten fruits with you so as to throw them and see if you can make them fall from the podiums...

Tonight I´ll watch a special about them on tv.Right now I´m looking for a link so that some of my friends can watch it as well, for it is only broadcasted in my city.

Precisely,I think that my last drawing "on demand" was a Jack Sparrow one.I couldn´t finish as I had to return home and I was drawing it straight on a notebook they (two brofthers who were fond of POTC)had lent me.

Now that I remember it,the last birthday gift I made was a drawing.I algo gave my friend a music album, but as I imagine he might not like it I decided to include a drawing as well.

That kind of things are rather cool.As we say here,"no one says no to a pie".

I still like your drawings. As a "wannabe artist" I also have those "blackouts",so I only draw/write when I really feel like it.At least you can draw amazingly even without being at your best...Now I do think Tennant fits as Barty Crouch Jr. :p

  25. I hated it as well. That´s why I can´t believe I miss it! Our teacher was rather strict, but he knew where my limits were.We even mocked about it.We had to keep a "diary" of what we did,and it seems I was one of the few that wrote everything, featuring drawings which were beyond stickmen with circled-shaped things which were supposed to be balls. We were also encouraged to wrote essays about sport-related news,so I was prone to write articles about this or that.

I am eager to see them live! They won´t disappoint us,save from the setlist.I will be really sad and angry if they don´t play "Bliss",as it means so much to me...and,well,it´s arguably one of the best Muse songs.

No probs.I regret not to having shown you any of my drawings, but I haven´t done any good ones since that one I draw as a present for a friend´s birthday. When I was a kid I used to draw the birthday cards instead of buying them.I still remember the last one I made.It was Pokémon themed with Lugia on it.Those were the days :p

That´s really cool.I liked the Leonardo line.I would be flattered, really. As far as I know,no one has writtena poem about me,but a certain singer/actress once improvised a song for me on the radio.I don´t know why,but I used to phone to a radio programme when I was a kid.One of those days this actress was being interviewed.I can´t remember whether I asked her something, but I got that lovely present.
