I think it's even more like a Greenwood glitch solo, not unlike something like Go To Sleep.
-
Well that all went well.
-
And as a fellow bass player, I’d also have to respectfully disagree. It’s def there in the acoustic version.
-
Literally the opening few seconds, Flea’s bass riff.
-
Whatever it ends up being, it won’t be as good as one or two of those songs done in full.
-
I always think that; it never happens.

Yup, can’t disagree on that. Chuck in New Kind Of Kick, a jam, four/five outro riffs, Unsustainable and Isolated System and you’ve got another 10-15 mins.

Indeed they were. The T2L tour got quite varied towards the end, especially in comparison with the Resistance tour which was pretty rigid throughout. I think there are two key things; 1. At a typical Muse show, half the crowd won’t walk out if the band take five minutes out of the hit machine to play Muscle Museum, for instance. 2. As a fan, you want to turn up at your favourite band’s gig thinking anything is possible and/or anything could happen, hence making room for just one rarity would be enough to sate so many hardcore/dedicated fans, a proportion of whom will undoubtedly make up a decent enough chunk of the crowd (10%, perhaps).

Muse have been a mainstay of sports broadcasting in England for at least a decade now. Psycho has been the 606 music on 5Live for a couple of years now, and B&H and Survival are regularly used during montages.
-
Don’t worry. If there’s any problem at all, RAH will print you a new one at the box office.

I love it. It was the first ever performance of it and is unique - they never played it like that again with that tone. Yes, it sounds a bit shonky, but it was an exciting moment at that time.

Propaganda as lead single would have been SMBH all over again (no bad thing, obvs).

IIRC, this was the first gig since it was released TiRO was dropped, or at least, the first noticeable occasion it was dropped. I remember the board going bananas at the time. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/muse/2010/casino-de-paris-paris-france-4bd4cbe2.html

It sounds like a bad onomatopoeia from a spoof 60s comic.

I don't even need to listen to that to be able to already tell that looks completely awful as a tracklist. Algorithm is the only viable opener, and having Dig Down follow The Void would be the biggest anticlimax ever. DD is hidden on the album as best it can be 10th. SH second? Again, that can only be anticlimactic.

At iheartradio, I almost got the feeling Matt was counting TiRO as a deep cut. He introduced it as being a song from 2003.

Twickets is Muse's endorsed reseller too so it just makes sense to put them on there.
-
Thought HLTW really fit well into the ST sound. Kind of liked how relatively understated a cover it was.
-
Yup, was that - and Matt just said 'yes'.

Well yes, ideally this.

I do feel even at 42 minutes, it could do with a harder, harsher cut. Thought Contagion really only needed to be two minutes, Pressure three mins max.

Matt’s best tone for years was on Sign O’ The Times at the BBC.

This has been bugging me all week and I’ve finally just sussed it - the riff that underpins the Propa-propa-propa-propa-ganda robot riff bit is Around The World by RHCP.
