Apocalyptic Gerbil
From here: http://www.nme.com/news/muse/52926 And here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20100910_muse.shtml Muse's Matt Bellamy has revealed that Bono got in touch with them to say he liked their Glastonbury performance with U2 guitarist The Edge in June. After U2 pulled out of the festival due to Bono's back injury, Muse played the Irish group's song 'Where The Streets Have No Name' with The Edge during their headline slot. Bellamy told BBC 6 Music: "We heard from him [bono] via The Edge, we heard that he liked the performance we did at Glastonbury and he thought it was a fitting tribute to the band." Muse are set to play Wembley Stadium tonight (September 10) and tomorrow, with the likes of Lily Allen, Biffy Clyro, I Am Arrows and The Big Pink set to support them over the two nights. U2 has been at the summit for years, and Muse are climbing the mountain and quite frankly have a long way to go
IngeVS
NO. U2 has been at the summit for years, and Muse are climbing the mountain and quite frankly have a long way to go I guess that's the difference between Muse in the US and Muse here in Europe. I can't think of a band from these times that are bigger than Muse is over here. Ok, U2 reached it all. But if I check with people I know, the favourite music of U2 is the one from between 1980 and 1990 and some from between 1990 and 2000, but not after that. They're just epic and Muse isn't there yet, because they're having the best times now. But people from the US, just wait... they'll become as big over there as they are here. Love the reaction from Bono though. It must mean a lot to a band to hear that
