i like the group idea...just so we can reinforce one another. lord knows i don't wanna go through what i did again. i was even a little pissed at MUSE for not having the decency to even mention something onstage but then maybe they really were just that oblivious. *shrug* either way i now know that one can't depend on them for anything but a good performance (but really, what would be the point of it at all if some of the audience aren't even alive to see the end of it? xxD). guess i really shouldn't ask for more. and while it's true it's every man for himself, sometimes, when someone's at a physical disadvantage, a little caring towards the wellbeing of others wouldn't hurt.

ya know, maybe we should all just agree to meet up all at once before the day of the show. like pick a random date before the 25th when everyone (or the majority of everyone anyway) is available and have some sort of a get-together somewhere, ya know? kinda like a MUSE concert survival club thingy... what say all of ya?

EDIT: oh right, hello thar, jerry. and welcome to the boards. and thread, by extension. xP

and your idea of making the "i survived a Muse gig" t-shirt comes in handy right about now

^is that the cue for me to start looking at budget hotels on your behalf?

Yes, please! If you really don't mind. It's not that you have to, you know. I know we all are busy ants and we would rather spend our precious free time doing something that's not to bothersome. And it's sucha boring thing to do, I feel. heh heh. My bro is also asking for the cheapest accomodation so that he and his group of friends can go too. So, in the end i guess you'll be doing us all a huge favour. :)

Merci beaucoup!

hoh! i just noticed! the Singapore gig was Muse's first gig of 2007...

Yes and i noticed that Matt used a lot of guitars on this one. My theory is he wants to test every one of em before his bigger gigs in Aus and ehem, KL? heh heh. But he's always changing guitars for almost every song anyway so I might just be fullo hot air.

sure thing. no worries at all. you guys have got a budget to speak of?

and yeah...ever noticed bellamy changes his guitars during his band's performance set as often as madonna does hers with outfits? xxD but since his has a technical reasoning behind it...

really tho...does he actually need to change them so often? xxD

I think maybe SGD$50 for accomodation? I hope to stick within a budget of $200 for the whole trip inc. tickets for myself, if it's possible.

Weird how Madonna has to change clothes. Maybe she don't like to continue wearing clothes that she had sweat in. :D

well if you're getting rockzone tix, they'll cost around RM110 so half that and i guess it's about SGD45 or so...hmm don't think it'll be too much of a prob. but i'll need to go look for a place that'll accomodate for RM100 a nite. actually, that sounds pretty good to work with. there should be decent places available around that price range. i'll look around, no worries ^_~

and yeah, noisemonkie, we're quite aware of that already. thanks for the thought of bringing it to our attention tho ^^

...cos the rest of them do? i think it's nice he has one stripped-down-to-almost-bare-essentials one. this way, less people can accuse him of being all dependant on fuzzy logic and effects...

...tho i don't think he actually had it built with that exact purpose in mind...

If you guys don't know where it is, what about me? heh heh.. But i'm sure it won't be too hard to get to, i hope.. The other time i was in KL i took the monorail and it felt like a theme park ride. I swear the monorail's window was almost parallel to the ground below when it made a turn. So stadium negara is on petaling street?

edit: If you guys haven't checked out the gallery of the fort canning gig, go now. Pro photos.

it's not on petaling street per se. just near it. it's still a main road away, up a hill, pass Stadium Merdeka on the right, and you'll see it to your left (unless you're coming from the opposite direction, in which case it's the, well, opposite). either way, if you find yourself in the petaling st. area, you're near enough that you prolly can't go wrong.

sorry guys, didn't make my message clear in my first post! i went to singapore to attend their concert. it was a bummer coz i bought my ticket before they announced the malaysian concert.

anyway, will go for malaysian concert again. haven't buy my ticket tho!

yeah, i think it's a great idea for us to meet up together. good time to make new friends that like muse too.

any suggestions on the gathering? if the singaporean friends are coming down a day before, then maybe we can meet up and show them where the stadium is? a quick tour around that area and some chit chat.

btw, Impiana Hotel is the closest to stadium negara and it's next to Puduraya. so if you guys are taking a bus down from singapore, it's the most convenient spot.

^how much are the rates? i don't think a lot of them are looking for something overly lavish. they are after all, MUSE fans, not IL DIVO's. xxDD no...not implying that MUSE fans are a bunch cheapskates (i am, after all, one myself but i'll be the first to admit i can be rather cheapskate when i wanna be...but it has nothing to do with MUSE, i promise) but their age ratio, compared to IL DIVO's, are rather much, noticeably so, even, younger and have a tighter budget constraint, i would imagine. i think a budget hotel will more than suffice. still running google for 'em as we speak. speaking of which, crazy, i couldn't find anything about that mandarin whatever hotel you mentioned near the area except for this one and it looks kinda OTB (over-the- budget) to me...

and as for the gathering...well, if you guys are serious about it, 23 or 24 Feb both sound about fine to me. i'd slap in a time and venue as well but it's really not for a single person to decide so why don't we work something out around these two dates? anyone who can make it are welcomed to join and help come out with defense strategies (xxxD) and anyone who can't--join, that is--well, we'll see you on the 25th...something like that?
