There is obviously gays out there who couldn't give a shit about Abba or Madonna but there is certainly a gay way of living that pertains to many homosexuals. Maybe the reason it just seems like so many gay people embody the "flamboyant gay scene" is because those are the ones who are very flamboyant and "obviously gay," if you will.
