forevermusic Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Muse are performing in Melbourne in December. Pre-sale is on Friday at 2pm local time, with general sale on Thursday August 10th at 12pm local time. Details here: http://muse.mu/tour-dates,melbourne-australia-rod-laver-arena_3053.htm Thread is for attendees.
Stewez26 Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 (edited) Christ, didn't think they'd even be coming. I think I'll just get seats unless a few more of you guys and other muse friends from last time come. But anyway, awesome! EDIT: anyone else's hyperlink on the members section link to the sydney ticket link and not the Melbourne one? Both go to Sydney 🙄 Edited August 2, 2017 by Stewez
unwinding Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Long time lurker, first time poster. Stoked that they're actually coming here! I was bummed about the Drones tour never making it to Australia but looks like now I don't have to wait a small eternity to see them again.
unwinding Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 So despite signing up for the forum and mailing list I somehow neglected to sign up to be a muse member. Bye bye pre-sale.
Stewez26 Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Still tossing up between GA and seats. Seating at Rod Laver is decent, so I'd be happy with that. Also lining up all day in Australian summer sucks.
unwinding Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 My only experience in a pit was BDO and I was right on the barrier, which was squishy but fine. I'm so short though that if I don't get up front it won't be worth it. Every time I see Muse from seats I think it looks pretty tame and I regret not doing GA. Didn't consider the whole queuing in Australian summer though. Coupled with the shortness, I'll have to do seats.
elsyjones Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Any chance you have a presale code you could share with me? I am desperate to go!
Stewez26 Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 (edited) I just remember getting very, very burnt last time. Although Rod Laver is under construction and the gates are sort of at the back of the arena rather than the front, which does have a big undercover area. I went to green day a few months ago and security didn't even put barriers until about 12 when everyone had been there since the night before, many people lost their places despite a number system on everyone's hand. I think I will just sit too. Edited August 4, 2017 by Stewez
cecil89 Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Does anyone know if the ticket limit is per show? or for the tour? U grabbed 4 for the melbourne show, but wanted to get a couple of Sydney too
Stewez26 Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 I went for seats, Row A, section 8 in what is a single seat, with stairs one side and a rail on the other. Sat in the exact same seat before but opposite side of the arena! Very happy.
AD2010 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 You are so lucky to get a front row seat! I'm very jealous. I was trying as soon as it opened but the closest it gave me was Row P. How did you do it?
Stewez26 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Same as you! Jumped in the second it opened. Did you buy one ticket or a few?
AD2010 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Just one ticket. I went in and out about four times trying to improve but Row P was the best I could get. It's OK though. I'm quite happy to be that close. I'll give it another try next week when the seats open to the public.
cinder Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 You are so lucky to get a front row seat! I'm very jealous. I was trying as soon as it opened but the closest it gave me was Row P. How did you do it? As far as I know it's not front row because it goes AA, BB, etc to ZZ then A
Stewez26 Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 As far as I know it's not front row because it goes AA, BB, etc to ZZ then ANot at Rod Laver, seats start at A and go up from there, AA comes after Z.
cinder Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Not at Rod Laver, seats start at A and go up from there, AA comes after Z. Oh ok, sorry for mix-up. So A-Z is lower level and AA-ZZ is upper level? I got BB so I was hoping BB meant 2nd row of top level ...

I've actually never sat top level in the gigs I've been to there but seat maps from google all say that that is correct, so I think BB would be 2nd row in the top level, yes. Google RL seat maps and you'll probably even be able to find your seat.

I'm pretty certain BB is 2nd row. Don't mind, good enough for me.
musekiddo Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 If anyone is selling a ticket for this show let me know.
sunburnt-bliss Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Yep, I'm looking for 1 GA ticket also. I knew the support act would end up being someone good, and now it's Nothing But Thieves and I'm kicking myself.
musekiddo Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 I scored a seated ticket right next to the the stage! See you all there on the 18th
Stewez26 Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 I scored a seated ticket right next to the the stage! See you all there on the 18th Nice, which side? I'm Row A very close to the stage on Matt's side.
musekiddo Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Nice, which side? I'm Row A very close to the stage on Matt's side. Sweet. I'm section 17 which is Chris's side I guess.
