Hey people, just passing on a message from James (Mystery) who you remember organised and created the September 10th Wembley Stadium amateur DVD.

 

Dear Musers,

 

As I’m sure we’re all aware by now, Muse are headlining this years Reading and Leeds festivals in August and as we’re also probably all aware of, they’re set to make it a very Origin special set. This in mind, it’s apparent that practically every Muse fan wants to see this, but obviously, not all of you can. So it’s why I bring to you the news that I plan on bringing to you, both days full sets in a mix of amateur multi-cam and pro-shot DVD’s!

 

Reading will most likely get a fair amount broadcast on the BBC, which will be used as the base of that set, whereas Leeds is unlikely to get anything, so that’s where I really need you guys. If ANYONE can get a decent quality full audio bootleg for the gig, it would be amazing. I had planned on getting the equipment myself, but funds kinda went and I was left without. That said, it may not be the end of the world if no one can do that. If between us all, we can get a full audio boot mixed from good quality demuxed videos, that will be used, for sure. So, if you know your camera has good audio, get some footage where you can! And most importantly, perhaps, try get those little bits inbetween songs! Even the silence between riffs and such, just to make it complete and try and match the gig atmosphere as much as we can.

 

With Reading, it will totally depend on what we get post gig but again, I ask for as much as you can get, please. Any songs not broadcast will be spliced into the footage to make it complete (with option to just watch the broadcast) but, if the footage is sufficient enough, I will try put together a whole multi-cam, too, depending on little things such as footage and broadcasts.

 

This is what I’m hopeful of bringing to you come the end of the summer;

 

Disc 1: Reading Festival – The TV Broadcast

Discs 2/3: Reading Festival – Full multi-cam OR broadcast spliced with multi-cam tracks.

Discs 4/5: Leeds Festival – Entire multi-cam gig.

 

Any extras such as interviews will be included in there, too.

 

Here’s what I’m asking anyone could get for me, if they’d wish to take part in this ambitious project;

- Audio bootlegs if possible.

- As much footage of the songs as possible, including inbetween songs moments (HD or SD, as long as it’s watchable!)

- Footage to be sent to me via data discs in the post or uploaded online so I can download track by track to save hard drive space! I will accept some direct transfers and put them onto discs myself, but I can’t do this for everything, I’m afraid!

 

I’ll be trying to get some video footage myself to take part, don’t think I’m just asking and not trying myself ;) And anyone who helps will be credited fully and if things work out, get an early copy of the discs to enjoy for their work.

Great to see the effort being done with both nights.

 

I should think (if previous years reading headline sets are anything to go by) then we should have the complete gig (or near enough). For Leeds Im planning on getting a proshot rip of the gig from one of the screens then alter contrast etc and tidy it up after, did the same at a previous gig (not muse) and you'd think for most of the time you were watching a tv proshot.

Wow how do manage to get the footage from the screens!?

 

This is a really good idea, good thing to get these one off gigs properly recorded for all the people who are unable to attend to enjoy too.

I'm going to try and get some decent sound and hopefully a bit of video from Leeds, but I won't be able to get the whole gig as it's my first Muse concert so I want to enjoy it too, not just worry about my recording. :LOL:

 

Glue the cam to your head! ;)

Not sure If I should start my own thread for this..

 

If anyone can sort me out a good bootleg from Leeds then I may have something special for the Leeds attendee's (Whats he building in there intro to Microcuts),

and as for screenager, darkshines, feeling good and Megalomania, If anyone toke any decent vids then let me know so I can make a decent multicam from them like my wembley dvd. I wont be editing the hits encore as we already have a proshot of that, Im just concentrating on OOS. Whats he building in there to Microcuts, Im near enough set with, its just amatuer footage for the last four songs Im after and a good bootleg to sync it to. cheers guys.

So, we were three to film for OOS party and have some good vids, i'll upload on YouTube as soon as possible for you can see if it's good for you and see later how you can pick up the vids. Don't hesite to contact me, i'm very bad with my english language but i'll do my best ;)

Im whizzing through this edit and its looking fantastic. I'll upload a preview clip tomorrow.

 

Im just editing the OOS set (apart from new born, bliss, and plug in baby) then will splice it all together with the proshots to make the complete set.

 

Still need a good Reading audio bootleg to overlay it though.

I've started uploading the gigs to YouTube. Leeds is done, currently uploading Reading.

I'm really curious about that too, I'd love Kirk's actual video files. Some are on YouTube, but hardly any.

Cheers :) so, i've principaly Leeds OOS set, for Reading, I've enjoy because I've thought it'll be diffused on BBC3, so, I've a bad videos for Bliss at reading but a better for Space Dementia I adore !!!!! If you don't need any more video from Leeds, I'll upload Reading in first. So, I've record audio with my zoom but I've not yet listen what tht done, so I'll do it faster I can and tell you resultat (and excuse me for all my mistakes ;)). Tanks for your works, sincerely !!!

Just watching Dee's video of New Born at Reading. Much better decision from Muse to wait until after the piano bit to raise the curtain. I thought the transition from What's He Building to New Born was really anticlimactic on the Leeds videos. :yesey:

 

I'm still refusing to watch the BBC videos on principle at the moment. :phu:

 

I have to say it is cool now looking through the OOS artwork and knowing "Oooh, that's Space Dementia, that's Screenager, that's Hyper Music, that's Bliss, etc"

Stockholm Syndrome should be on YouTube too but I can't find it today, it's only about 2 minutes long because it gets looped.

 

I have to say it is cool now looking through the OOS artwork and knowing "Oooh, that's Space Dementia, that's Screenager, that's Hyper Music, that's Bliss, etc"

Liam, James (Mystery) is already working on a Leeds DVD, wouldn't ie be easier to combine the footage?

Hey Phil, Im just concentrating on Reading footage now. I was originally going to include Leeds footage but I think its easier now just to stick with Reading.

 

I just have some DVDs I need to forward to Paul for upload, and just wanted to ask how Benits doing with the muse the movie artwork :)

video is uploading actually and audio too in my computer, so I must work the sound and I'm not a specialist, so I'll do that this evening, so, which format do you need or can you work for your footage, I think I can do all, so say me your favourite ;)
