Johnny Newman
Hey all, I just finished orchestrating a string orchestra arrangement to Muse's "Micro Cuts." As a composer, I enjoy hearing the transformation in sound when orchestra parts are added to an already awesome song. This Muse track was recorded before they got real crazy about adding a ton of extra strings/pianos/fx to their sound, so for the most part, it gave me a pretty solid trio rock band sound to work with. Enjoy!! Muse - Micro Cuts (Johnny Newman orchestration)
Gareeh
pretty good. good work and muse + orchestra = win. but matt won't do it for some reason.
Zaphod Chizzlebrox
It's an interesting idea, but to me it sounds just like what it is...a complete song with someone else's bits added on. I'm not saying it's bad, but without having access to master tracks you won't be able to set the levels properly. You might be better mixing the orchestra arrangements through the middle instead of down individual left or right sides, to try and negate that "separate" feeling. Dee3Dee
and muse + orchestra = win. but matt won't do it for some reason. He's scared of performing live onstage, something he has never done before.
Tofu
I'm not sure I liked it that much. It's not bad, it just doesn't feel like the strings parts complement the original song very much or something.
Priad-Luabe
this is good work, i'm not sure how well it fits over the verses, but the fit of the chorus is amazingly epically audiorgasmic and the outro is pure bliss. Any chance of a download link?? also have you arranged any other songs?
