Not one, but two whammys.

No idea how I hadn't seen this before. 0:23

Tempted to look for those pickups and make a right handed replica with warmoth parts.
-
Apparently that's the actual one. Just wait until I cover it with tape and put the GK-2 in.
Oooh that looks really good! You’ll definitely have to cover it with tape, as we know that gives 90% more tone.
-
Fixed it for you
The wolfgangs do have a somewhat unique sound though. Especially on the neck pickup.
MB used the neck pickup on his a lot, but maybe that's just because the selector on those is wired upside down as standard
How does the HP-2 sound (if you’ve got it yet)?
-
It is. You can play muscle museum on it, but uno is more suited for a yamaha 120
Or at least that's what I read on musewiki
[YT]G3nrB0L4vIQ[/YT]
But it’s got more 90s mojo on a Wolfgang
Edit: can’t get the video to embed on my phone for some reason.

I agree. It's just arrived at the dealer. One problem though................. you can't play KoC with a decked bridge. :-( This has made the whole purchase and the month and two days that I waited for it completely pointless.
They're currently offering plek setups on new guitars, so I might have that done.
Is that the new wolfgang? As long as you can play Muscle Museum and Uno on it then KoC won't matter.
-
That’s not helping my GAS at all
Seems quite handy having a pot for the intensity, but that’s not the best demo of what the sustainer can do.
-
Would really like to get one of those.
-
It's nice, but it's certainly no #magicbridge
I couldn't suggest that until Bs has his new guitar
-
Nice suggestion they used for the bridge change...

And my stalking attempt wasn't successful. Although TVL did walk past everyone... surprised how chill everyone was compared to similar situations with certain other bands.
How was the gig?
Not quite lullabies, but close enough.
-
I think the sub octave thing for SMBH sounds way better now than it did on T2L tour, it was a bit too much like the bass. Really liked the close encounters intro he did for it at Reading this year.
Watching the Absolution tour dvd today, not much beats the tone during Muscle Museum
There's something special about how brilliant the bomber sounds.
-
I thought his current sounds are some of the best ones he's had in a while. Did you manage to hear that satellite instrumental track the other day before it was taken down?
Did you sound like Simon Niel when you plugged your strat into it?
Say what you want about the metal zone. This guy was getting some great sounds by using his as an amp switcher.
Didn't have a strat then, but I could never sound that good.
that's a genius use for it. I quite like the metal zone now. Dialled in the secret settings and it sounds pretty good, but that might just be cause its the only really high gain pedal I've got.
-
Why doesn't the burst go all the way around? Or is that a feature reserved for the premium version?

Doesn't sound that good... probably just the amp though. Would've sounded better through a soldano...
Do want! The amp isn't the nicest sounding, though the only amp I've ever played an original Wolfgang through is a peavey bandit
Apparently boss are releasing some new stuff on Friday. More metal zone I hope.

Mate... you should ask on TGP - most gentlemen will argue that leaded sounds better and what was used in the old days (when they started playing guitar) and that there's no reason to change to this diet solder... On the other hand, many of the single adult middle aged men who play dumble "reproductions" and klon "tributes" will argue that leaded is bad for the environment and that you'll burn in h*ll (no swearing allowed on a family appropriate website) with your leaded solder... until they have to eat their own words when some younger man in his mid to late 30s (37 to be exact) points out that they paid fuck knows how much for a guitar made out of endangered rainforest wood, and uses batteries in their klon copy because 9v adapters make their tone too stiff and they are also morally wrong...especially if it's a 1-spot power adapter.
In short, it doesn't really matter. You can get the usual 60/40 stuff.
thanks, I saw some stuff that said lead was easier to work with, and some other stuff contradicting that so it all got a bit TGP. Now to not break anything with the soldering iron...
-
Is it better to use lead or lead free solder in a pedal, or does it not matter?

Thoughts on the new QOTSA album? Liking what I'm hearing so far, but I'm only a few tracks in.
I really like it. Only listened to it once, but think the evil has landed is my favourite song on it. That riff

I didn't think MB had a holosparkle aside from the holey, but it looked like was using one during Showbiz last night. Looks like the MB shape, not MA. He ever use that one before?
I haven't seen any of the gig yet :'( but that set list looks unbelievable haha.
He had a couple of glitter ones the same spec as the matt blacks on the drones tour, one was tuned to e flat (I'm guessing showbiz was half a step down?) so probably one of those

Again I'm regretting learning to play the wrong way round :'(
-
Probably messed around with that for MK Ultra. I recall they used that in the making of.
Yeah. Wonder if he actually used it live, maybe the amp it was going to wasn't very high in the live mix or something

New gutar for jaems90?

On the top pedal shelf, looks like a blue box...

Nice. Though the T1NY xy pad doesn’t quite look right
