  1. Not owned one of the replicas, but I've heard they're pretty poor. I'd probably get the EVO and then upgrade the pickup at a later date... if not, definitely the Cort. They're really good guitars for the money.

Not just that, but the colour... It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none - none more black.

And where can I get one of those? I tried finding an Irn Bru sticker for the body, but could only find these bootleg ones that seemed like more trouble than they were worth.

    :awesome:

I'm not sure of anywhere in particular that sell them, to get something decent quality you might need to get a custom one like Jaicen said. Or cut the label off a bottle as a temporary one .

  2. The basic one that's listed at $49. Actually haven't taken it out of the packaging yet.

    Time will tell.

and you should add them to your basket on MGW. I don't think you can actually save anything on there, so you can only clear it buy purchasing the contents.

Or at least that's what it says in the guerrilla marketing contract I have with them.

Well... I do need some more of their strings so might as well.

It’s not funny... but it also really is.

  3. Bacon grease?...Oh wait, forgot this wasn't TGP.

Have you seen these? I might get some if the locking bits fit the existing strap buttons

I've had a set of those in my amazon basket for a few weeks but forgot about them.

    It's here!

    What does it do?

Does it work for your whammy magic?

  4. No mate, I mean being able to go to -1 octave (heel) and +1 octave (toe) on the same setting. It's the same idea as the harmonizer -1/+1, but only for pitch.

    You absolute madman

I don't think MIDI would work in this case, especially for on the fly stuff

Unless there's a MIDI controlled expression pedal that will switch between -1/+1... basically, EXACTLY half way on the expression could be bypassed. Forward (toe) from that middle point would be 0-127 +1 octave, and backward (heel) from that middle point would be 0-127 -1 octave...

Somehow I don't think such a thing exists.

    :nerd:

It's probably a way too elaborate way of doing it. Did you find out if the pitchfork does that? I think mission engineering makes MIDI expression pedals that can do all sorts of weird stuff, so one of them might work for my mad idea.

Speaking of MIDI, my old laptop completely died last week so I won't be playing MOTP for a while.

  5. Gentlemen.

Is there a pedal that will basically go from -1oct to +1oct (on the same setting) with an expression control? Sort of like the harmonizer on the whammy, but without the harmonizer effect.

Looks like the only one that might do that is the EHX pitchfork, but not sure.

None that I know of. Would changing between -1 & +1 on the whammy with MIDI work? When the CC number goes from 127 to 0 for one -1, then it switches to +1 and goes from 0 to 127, but all during the sweep of an expression pedal.

Or that's complete nonsense and it won't work.

  6. Well at least it's a proper one and not one of those dodgy ones with the tele bridge.

@nerd_herd, where are these infatuators? I've been checking the GCP website often enough. Maybe it's not happening...

What about ones with an almost tele bridge and a jazzmaster trem?

I'm still not sure. The new album's being mixed just now I think, so if they're released with the fancy version of that it probably won't be long. Or maybe GCP will sell them on their own. Eagerly awaiting news though, and there's a space on my board that needs filled.

  7. Does anyone know how I can get a similar sound to the Psycho Jam that Matt plays after Map on the 2nd law tours, I know it's an octave sound but I don't know how many subs or up octaves he's using. I think he uses the same tone of SMBH as well on the 2nd Law tour.

Go full K&T and get a boss OC-3 :chuckle:

Jokes aside, I use that pedal for that sort of sound, but it’s not spot on.
