  2. The negativity isn't coming from the people doing too many shows, the people who went to every show on the US tour were the ones defending it the most.

Those arena shows aren't designed for multiple gigs goers (except for long residencies) imo. Those going for the first time are blown away, and those who have seen the classics many times already may understandably not be satisfied. For my part I remember losing my shit when I heard SMBH, Hysteria, TiRO, NB, Uprising, etc. live for the first time. It wasn't quite the same after that, so I think not going to too many gigs helps preserve the experience. Of course everyone has their own experience and mine may not be generalisable.

  3. ? I don't remember anyone here calling the US fans entitled whinners and everyone but one person commented last night's gig very positively.

Edit: I found this post quite interesting:

  4. I always thought BF had a great chorus and solo but I found the verses horrendous. Now I've grown to tolerate them but they're still far from great.

And I think there's no way he could sing it at the moment, especially given that he didn't even give it a try when he was at his best on T2L tour. I mean it's probably their hardest song to sing for him alongside Survival.

  5. Interesting that The Handler falsetto is still so rough but having just watched the Paris Supremacy he actually sounded decent with the falsettos in that

Yeah, but I think his main issue with TH is catching his breath before the falsetto. It seems to me he usually doesn't have time to breathe properly before the big YOU, and that's probably partly responsible for the strain and roughness.

  6. I-télé:

Matt: This is a new technology, we have those flying objects above the stage. It's a bit dangerous because they're not always working properly.

Dom: We tried different things: orchestral music, slow music, a powerful sound, some electronic influences, too. We tried to make those ours and that had a massive impact on how we sound today.

When we play on that stage, we can see the first rows very well, we can feel their reaction directly, and it is such an incredible feeling to see how we touch/move them with our music.

Also i didn't mention it before but they're the first band to play at Bercy since it was renovated and upgraded to 20 000 attendees every night.

  7. Hold the presses.

I don't think that France has been subjected to Feeling Good yet.

Muse really do like them better.

I know you're being sarcastic, but some people say that the band is taking to piss when playing FG, Resistance, UD, etc., or that their presence in the sets is incomprehensible. They forget that the band may simply like to play those.

  8. Rarities on T2L Arena tour: Falling Down, Sunburn, Ruled By Secrecy, Sign o' the Times, Butterflies & Hurricanes, Agitated, Unnatural Selection, Hyper Music, Citizen Erased, Fury, Dead Star, Micro Cuts, Blackout, (Host intro)

Rarities on the Drones Arena tour so far: Apocalypse Please, Butterflies & Hurricanes, Blackout, Citizen Erased, Take A Bow, (Supremacy)

Surely they can easily add US, HM, Sunburn, DS, Agitated. Thought they'd show up in Paris before B&H, Blackout and TaB.

  9. And doing Micro Cuts usually has the opposite effect, as most fans seem to agree that he looks like he's having a stroke and shitting himself at the same time.

Haha yeah, he sang it alright each time though.

Edit: That B&H was really, really great.

  10. I hope Matt's falsetto isn't ruined forever. :( It's been spectacularly rough for one year now. Yet they occasionally bring back Micro Cuts and Supremacy, and I get the feeling that it's about Matt trying to prove (himself) that he still can sing those, which would be sad.

  11. The part about French crowds being more enthousiastic didn't strike me as snarky (nor did the laugh), tbh. I mean if they translated well he said "expect", not "look forward to" or "happy to play for". So umh, merely an observation.

  12. Like I said, used to be an E5, but since about 2010 he has apparently been doing a B4 (or maybe C#5) instead? Not gonna pitch it on my phone while in bed :p

And the studio note is F#5.

Edit: maybe he raised it for the T2L Tour though, can't even remember if it was performed but a handful of times, right?

It wasn't at all if I'm not mistaken.
