  1. I meant in smaller cities like Columbus, Cincinnati, Kansas City, etc they might play smaller venues than arenas. In Columbus in 2013 Muse had 5,000-something people in an arena that can hold 3 times that many people. There is an amphitheater in Columbus called LC Pavilion with a capacity of 5,000. It's probably the "busiest" venue in Columbus. That's all I was suggesting.
  2. Right, but like I said the entire upper bowl was curtained off at the 2013 Columbus show. So even though the capacity is listed as 6,000-something, the true capacity of the venue is much higher with the upper bowl added in. When Muse played the same Columbus arena in 2010 they utilized some of the upper bowl, and about half of it was curtained off. It didn't help that they played Cincy, Columbus and Cleveland in the same week. Maybe just play Columbus and let the fans from Cincy and Cleveland meet in the middle? That'd suit me fine! Really, though, I see no reason for them to move away from arenas in the US, they just might have to either play fewer dates in the smaller cities. Or maybe they don't care if a show sells well or not, as long as they reach their break-even point.
  3. What kind of venues will they do in the U.S? While they had decent attendance in the bigger US cities, places like Columbus had the upper bowls of arenas curtained off due to low sales. Will they simply not play Columbus, or play a smaller venue? I know they like to have the same arena tour setup at each gig, and I don't blame them. I just hope they return to at least one Ohio city on the next tour.
  4. I don't know much about Sweden/Scandinavia/Europe in general, but something doesn't make sense to me. Why do Muse have such a hard time filling an arena in Sweden when they play stadiums in Norway, Finland and Denmark? This band doesn't seem to have a problem playing to half full arenas (like my show in Columbus), so I don't think it's a question of that. Otherwise, they'd have cancelled about half of the shows in the US! There has to be some other reason.
  5. Expect 2nd shows in Melbourne and Sydney. There is room for one in Brisbane as well, but is the demand there? Â Perth may get an extra show too, or it may take them 4 days to get all the way across Australia to get to Adelaide. Either way, the gaps are worth noting.
  6. I'd think that since they had 3 sellout shows in LA last January, they might throw another LA area show in that area somewhere. What an odd schedule... 6 US shows, to Brazil for 1 show, back to the US for 2 shows, break, Austin / Mexico / Austin / Mexico.
  7. There is an unusual gap of a week between the 2nd Austin show and the show in Mexico City. I wouldn't be surprised if Muse play another show in LA in that time, or sometime this fall. 3 sold out shows at the Staples Center is pretty impressive for them, and demand is certainly there for another show. I'd hold out for the possibility of another LA area show.
  8. As far as Ohio, there were a whopping 4,900(ish) in Cincy, 5,600(ish) in Columbus, and we don't have numbers on Cleveland yet, but I'd assume it would be better than both of those. Whoever thought it was a good idea to do 3 arena shows in Ohio in the same week was not thinking!
  9. There are a few other NA cities they hit last time that they aren't this tour (so far) Milwaukee Indianapolis (2011) Kansas City (cancelled in 2010 because of Chris' child being born, played a festival there in 2011) Albuquerque New Orleans Austin- City Limits Festival? Time frame fits. Upstate New York- Albany, Buffalo Ottawa Winnipeg None of these cities are likely to yield very high attendance numbers (except Austin, being a festival). Milwaukee and Indy might both benefit from the lack of a Chicago show, but not by much. Really, I don't we'll see any of these getting shows. Still think that NYC and LA are going to get at least 1 more show each. Not sure why the Nassau Coliseum show wasn't rescheduled for fall, unless they already had another venue on hold for fall.
  10. I expect that after the New York/new jersey shows are over, they may add another show in the NYC area for the fall. I also think LA area will get another show, and possibly Toronto. I think big cities like Boston, Chicago and San Francisco are good with their 1st leg shows. Austin city limits festival is in late sept/early October, so that's a possibility. Then there's the probability that they'll swing down to Mexico when they're done in the US.
  11. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull_Arena_(New_Jersey) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_Depot_Center If they were going to do stadiums in LA and NYC, it'd probably be these. Each holds around 30,000 for a concert.
  12. The following US markets have not had dates added yet: Atlanta- Played last tour Washington DC- Played last tour Charlotte- Played last tour Charlottesville- Played last tour Philadelphia- Played last tour Connecticut (Hartford/Mohegan Sun, Uncasville) Upstate New York (Buffalo or Albany) Pittsburgh Columbus- Played last tour Cincinnati- Played last tour Louisville Nashville- Played last tour Indianapolis- Played in 2011 Milwaukee- Played last tour Kansas City- Cancelled last tour b/c of Chris's child being born, festival there in 2011 Dallas- Played last tour San Antonio / Austin- (Possible SxSW or Austin City Limits Festival) New Orleans- (Voodoo Festival is in October) Des Moines / Omaha Denver- Played last tour Salt Lake City- Played last tour Phoenix- Played last tour Albuquerque- Played last tour Ottawa Winnipeg Mexico City- Played last tour Seems like enough for another North America leg to me. Obviously they won't play ALL these places, but they could play in most of them. Many of these are secondary markets in which they probably wouldn't come close to selling out arenas, but that doesn't really seem to matter to them. I think as long as they can sell enough tickets to cover their operating costs and break even, they'll do it. I
