The media here in Denmark seem to be very thrilled about today's announcement and I can't find many negative comments from people either.
So far today, the band has also got massive publicity as opposed to when Pharrell Williams was announced. They have been played a lot on the major radio stations, there has been contests about them and several online magazines have even published top lists of their best songs and music videos.
I'd never heard of them before. The Zookeper's Boy (which I've just found on YouTube) is a decent song though.Special and Am I Wry are cool too. Comforting Sounds is a serious masterpiece though.

Roskilde confirmed.
Awesome.

Roskilde Festival announces 20 new acts on Thursday at 10 am.
Safe bet is Muse will headline 1st or 2nd July.
-
Roskilde Festival has launched some kind of app with teasers so people can make guesses about which bands they are announcing next week.
One of the teasers is simply "MoMA", which is short for New York's MUSEum of Modern Art.

Roskilde Festival 2015?
Always high on the list of band wishes and last times were 2007 and 2010 - insanely good performance and fantastic crowd in 2010 despite the sad setlist.
-
This or BBK?
At the moment I'd say this, but depends on the rest of the line-up.

Would really like to go, but doesn't seem like there are any cheap flights to Lisboa from Copenhagen. Ryanair offers roundtrip for a bit under 100 EUR from Hamburg though ... could work out.

Looks like I have to try and see if the German transport opportunities are as effective as said.

Man Starlight used to be so great live
Yes, and it certainly still is.
-
I like the idea of opening with their first single. Especially in relation to the anniversary gigs if they had happened.
-
Ruled By Secrecy
Sunburn
New Born
Dead Star
Ahhh yes. Have this on my dream setlist too, but I would switch RbS and Sunburn though.
-
Because why just have 2 encores when you can have 6
It's all about surprising the crowd and Muse after all having a lot of closers.
Closing with hyper chondriac music after showbiz... Well that's different and possible worst that having starlight closingNo.

Supremacy
Micro Cuts
Nice transition. Would be even better if Matt didn't had to change guitar!
-
Supermassive won't be rotated. It is their biggest hit to date.
I wouldn't mind if it got rotated a bit, but I also think it will remain as a staple.
Biggest hit? I'd say Starlight and Uprising are bigger.

I think Big Freeze is really underrated
I really like it. One of the best from T2L.

Roskilde next year, please.

9. Take A Bow
10. Feeling Good

Dead Star

Ruled by Secrecy
Map of the Problematique

To me, Knights is in the top 5 of best live songs.
-
Survival is monstrously good live.
Yeah, and those flames just make it even better. A shame they only did it that one time.
-
The Killers has fans?
Me. Huge.

The gimmicks:
The roulette is a great idea in theory, but it was (pretty obviously) staged. Honestly I'd like to see them keep the roulette for the next tour, but have a pool of maybe 4-5 more obscure songs that they've rehearsed as options. And have it actually be random. Preferrably so that it's a surprise for Muse as well.
The actors need to fuck off. Holy shit, there's no need to make up reasons to keep Feeling Good in the set. Just drop it and drop the actors. And the fucking pooping balloon-gimmick has been done to death now (three stadium tours in a row).
Absolutely agreeing with you.
But on the other hand, isn't it just about 10% of the people in the crowd at a Muse show who are aware of what will happen during the gig and can predict it all? I'm sure the other 90% part of the crowd (casual fans?) will remember a floating lightbulb with an angel, or whatever it is supposed to be, popping out of it much better than "here's a song we haven't played for a long time".
I see how all these actor and gimmick things can make the show as good as possible, but of course everyone of us here on the board would rather have more rarities to remember the show by.

Muse is placed under Robbie Williams on Friday's bill, so should we assume he is the closing headliner that day?
Oh God.
