So, my thoughts on last night's show at Rock Im Revier in Gelsenkirchen:
I didn't look for anything Muse-related since Friday so I didn't know what was going to happen specifically. I was in the front zone in the middle on 8-10th row and the crowd was absolutely great and fun to be a part of.
A lot of jumping, moshing and singing along. Psycho, New Born (very happy to hear it) and the start of SMBH were quite rough. I've looked up on Youtube videos and the standing crowd seems pretty dead, but it was anything but that up in the front.
The middle front squatted down in the Knights breakdown and went nuts when the outro kicked in!
More general thoughts are that it looks like they have never been happier on stage. Their joy of playing live is shining brightly.
Nice and heavy guitar/bass tones a lot of time apart from Hysteria, which unfortunately went down very meh.
Dom sounded amazing on the new jam but Chris was just WAY too quite. Could barely hear him.
DISAPPOINTMENT: set time of 1 hour and fucking 28 minutes and 15 full songs at this point of their career?! What the hell. They came on stage nearly 20 minutes late and walked off about 15 minutes before curfew.

Schedule revealed: http://www.bravallafestival.se/sv/artister/spelschema/#!programmation=timeline$2015-06-26
Muse on the Luna Stage right after Robbie Williams on the Panorama Stage. Can anyone tell me how these two are located to each other?
Would quite like to see Robbie, but Muse in front is ofc. first priority.

That's an overstatement.
Not in any way for me. Gets it going right from the start and has that "Boom, here we are!" effect.
Wouldn't have any problem with Psycho into Reapers as the opening though.
-
I really hope Reapers opening was a one-time thing. I think Psycho is the best opener they have ever had and I'm looking so much forward to hearing it.

A Swedish radio show just announced a competition for two tickets to a intimate gig in Cologne June 30th.
Wut? Surprising news if true.
Better be a rehearsal show for all the good things we'll get at Roskilde, haha.

Starlight wasn't that huge a hit anyway... I reckon their biggest hit is Uprising.
In terms of recognisability I think Starlight is their biggest pre-Resistance hit.
In my world Madness and Uprising are in the top followed by Starlight and Supermassive. Next layer is Undisclosed, TIRO, Hysteria and now Dead Inside.
I don't think Mercy will be that big a hit. Nice and radio-friendly, yes, but I think it's too meh and "unimportant" compared to Dead Inside.
-
Let's say Faith No More are playing before Muse. Then be there 30 minutes before Faith No More go on stage and I think you will get a good spot for Muse.
Anyone know when the schedule is likely to be announced?

Nice camera work.
Nice stream in general, just needs more bass.
-
I definitely expect a more casual set like iHeart last weekend.
13-14 songs and maybe a rarity like AP.
-
Pleasing both casual and hardcore fans at the festivals:
- Psycho
- Plug In Baby
- Hysteria
- New Drones song
- Dead Inside
- Bliss
- Citizen Erased
- New Born
- Assassin
- Dead Star
- Agitated
- Starlight
- Madness
- Mercy
- Time Is Running Out
- Reapers
- Stockholm Syndrome
--------------------------------- - Supermassive Black Hole
- Uprising
- Knights Of Cydonia
- Psycho

Yeah, from my experience, bands rarely play right up to their curfew. I think they like to give themselves a bit of leeway.
20+ songs would be nice but I reeeally doubt it. That's the kind of set length you'd get at one of their own gigs, festival sets are usually shorter. I'd expect about 17-18 songs.
I expect max. 18 songs as well. Just two and a half week more and we'll find out.
I'm going to the Rock im Revier and really looking forward to being surprised in terms of stageshow and setlist, since I have promised my self not to search for anything online from Rockavaria the day before.
-
Pretty sure headliner slots for most festivals are usually two hours. They'll probably play for around 1hr45.
It says 2h15 for Metallica and 1h45 for KISS. I think that's pretty precisely what their average sets have been their past tours. But 1h45 for Muse sounds more reasonable. yes.
Two hours and at least 20 songs would be nice though.
-
Schedules for Rockavaria and Rock Im Revier have been announced and both of them say Muse are playing from 9 to 11.
Two hours, really? We can only hope.
-
I'd take any other piano song over AP, bar Explorers/FG. I think it's boring.
I would have Explorers over it as well.
AP has always been my least favorite from Abso. Something about it just doesn't catch me. But still nice to see they keep bringing the old songs back.

Just found this. I like Matt's alternate picking during the verses much more than the tremolo-style in the studio version.
Seriously hoping I will see it this summer in any version though. Dead Star has always been the fan-rarity I would like to see the most, but during the last few months I think Assassin has taken that spot.

The day-by-day programme is ready.
Muse will be playing Thrusday at Orange Stage, presumably at 10 pm-ish time.
-
Opening with Psycho -> Dead Star -> Assassin.
It has to be done at one of these small shows.
-
Fucking hell. This will make a whole festival jump up and down.

Did not manage to get anything for Brighton.
Everything was literally just gone in 5 seconds.
-
Will be trying to get tickets to Brighton tomorrow morning. Very reasonable flights to Gatwick from Copenhagen.

How long before the T2L release was the european tour announced?
7 June 2012 - UK and European tour announced
1 October 2012 - The 2nd Law released
Bonus info:
4 June 2009 - UK and European tour announced
14 September 2009 - The Resistance released
-
If this little UK tour is true ... my bank account for concerts
-
I think I'm going to this gig! It was a choice between this, Sweden and Munich and the others are awkward.
Roskilde not on your mind?

Agree.
Amager Bio would be the best Danish venue for a Psycho UK Tour-like show.
