All the BH&R-songs that have been dropped this tour are great ... exept Soldier's Poem.
Would love to see just one of TaB, Invincible, Assissian, Exo-Politics, CoD and Hoodoo.

I'm wondering if Roskilde festival could be an option for 2014. The general message of recent interviews is that they will probably do one European festival, but (if I'm not mistaken) not in the UK. But for an "exclusive" festival appearance outside their home country it would have to be some really big, special festival, wouldn't it? So Roskilde and Sziget are the first ones that come to my mind...
And then, add some Muse logic: If Malmö 2012 was (would have been) the "Denmark gig", well then, why not do the "Sweden gig" in Denmark? Like, they could cover two purposes (playing an European festival and making up for the cancelled gigs) with one show.....
A festival/gig or two next summer in Eastern Europe seems likely after Matt's comment on a festival in Moscow.
A stadium gig in Denmark (apparently Parken in Copenhagen) "to be announced soon" was mentioned in the first release of stadium gigs, but unforetunately wasn't realised. And when a band play in Malmö but not it Denmark I see it's just as much for the Danes as for the Swedes living in the south.
Roskilde could be a possibility for another festival next year since they last where there in 2010. But I wouldn't think of that as making it up for the cancelled Swedish gigs and I'd much rather travel to Stockholm to get one of their own shows with the pyramid than a standard festival set at Roskilde.

don't know how big Globen is, but i honestly think they should just do an arena gig. even when it will not sell out. After so many cancellations, they need to make up for it. especially because i've seen that there is quite a strong swedish Muse fanbase (i could be wrong, but i was in the queue at Emirates and at my entrance there were like 15 swedish fans there and i've seen a lot more too at the gig)
So yeah, imo it's time for them to finally play there. it's kinda ridiculous to cancel like 4 gigs? (or was it less or more?)
Malmö Arena's capacity is about 15,000 for concerts, but the upper sections was covered with certains at The Killers' show I went to. I guess they could do a similar thing in Globen and not use its full 16,500 capacity, so there won't be empty seats.

There may not be enough demand for tickets to two full-arena Muse gigs in Sweden.
But I'm sure the reason they chose to include Malmö on the arena tour was due to the fact that Denmark and especially Copenhagen can't offer a proper indoor arena to bands like Muse.
I went to see The Killers in Malmö in March. They didn't a show in Denmark as well and the arena was full of Danes. I'm sure the same thing would happen with Muse.
-
One Swedish gig at Globen (Stockholm) at the end of March is what we've been told. Probably cancelled already though.
Yeah, but I think the tickets would have been in sale by now. End of March is in about three months and Muse usually release tickets 4-5 months before the gig.
Would love a trip to Stockholm though ...

Never been a big fan of SMBH in general, but this performance kicks seriously ass and is miles ahead of the other recordings.
The guitar tone at 0:56 is just ... Really missed that crunchy tone during this tour!

^ That was not a stadium though...
But it was part of the stadium tour.

Didn't the Starlight closer happen on the entire stadium tour and not just Rome?
Correct, despite from one show at St. Goarshausen i Germany that had the set changed and shortened.

Is there a full interview somewhere?
It can't just be that one minute.

you sound just like my ex girlfriend
Is that why she's your ex?

Anniversary tour...
Night 1
30. Survival + 0305030 + riffs
030503 after Survival?
Hmm, don't think they go well with each other.
-
Would love to hear the conversation between the people who chose the tracklist for the DVD when they discussed it.
I can't find one single decent reason to cut Stockholm and Unsustainable from the Rome part of the DVD, and I won't even start to comment on the CD tracklist.
It's incapability on the highest level and it's a shame when it's possible to be much better with a few changes.

You're about to get lucky soon.

I love being able to say you're so horribly wrong
I really don't like the guitar version of S4A. Studio version and Wembley 2007 e.g. are much more enjoyable to listen to and in my opinion it's the most beautiful song Muse has.
... with Ruled By Secrecy and Exo 3.

I haven't heard any review of anybody there so only going by the recordings of Muscle Museum and Plug in Baby on youtube, but Reading 2002 looked like a good performance so maybe in the top 5 for the OoS tour? Was anybody there still around on here?
Plug In Baby at Reading 2002 sounds fantastic!
-
I'm dreaming of Ruled By Secrecy -> New Born with Headup riff outro -> Dead Star -> Stockholm.
-
I think the crack in his voice makes it sound even better.
My favorite is the HAARP one though.
-
"Worst", for Christ's sake.
Shit, I've been on school vacation for too long.
-
I think this post puts focus on the wrong song, considering which thread we're in
Save Me is the baddest, yes, but Animals isn't really that much better to me.
-
Animals is the baddest song from The 2nd Law with Save Me.
-
Hardly a "riff", that
I know, but don't know what else to call it.
-
Dead Star from V Festival and 2008 in general > Dead Star from The 2nd Law Tour.
Dead Star in Toronto, 10 April 2013 sounded seriously amazing.
Dat new Matt riff in the intro <3
-
- The 2nd Law: Unsustainable
- Supremacy
- Panic Station
- Supermassive Black Hole
- Spiral Static
- Futurism
- Fury
- Glorious
- Liquid State
- Citizen Erased
- Sunburn
- Follow Me
- Plug In Baby
- Madness
- Time Is Running Out
- Stockholm Syndrome
- Agitated
---- - The 2nd Law: Isolated System
- Uprising
- Knights of Cydonia
---- - Dead Star
- Micro Cuts
- Survival
Add Bliss and it's very good.
But I would've put the four b-sides later or spreaded them out.
- The 2nd Law: Unsustainable
-
Regardless, starlight with no guitar, and as a stadium closer is shit.
Last one I agree on.
I can see the idea of choosing to close with a more mellow and down-to-earth song after such a huge stage- and production show, but I'd still go with an over-the-top song to let people go home with a wow-feeling.
