    I spent the last half an hour trying to decipher the lyrics and pretty much got what you've got. I just couldn't figure out 'ghosts of shadows' though, it was driving me crazy. Here's how I'm hearing the second verse (??elves and gods??) inside a tyranny Though we were hypnotized by a greater puppeteer And tell me why the manacles Always (choose to?) bring me down We're running from the ghosts of shadows The world just feels so vile Oh and my bet's on 'killing machines' in the last chorus

    I can hear it. Something about the structure/melody/rhythm makes it fit right into what's currently on the radio. Like, Dead Inside is pop but this is super drone pop.

    I disagree with people who say it "goes nowhere"...it definitely goes somewhere. It might not go as big as Madness but the first and second half fit nicely together and it's enough for me. Pyscho on the other hand...that is the definition of going nowhere.

    I love the song, the only thing that truly bothers me is how unacceptably similar "feel me now" and "come to me" in Madness are.

    Dead Inside and Psycho have a very cohesive sound in my opinion, and I think it's highly probable that the rest of the album will follow suit. Is cohesiveness not what most people wanted? Of course, that means that if you don't like what we've heard so far, you're probably not going to enjoy any of the other songs...

    I guess being in aus/nz is sort of good in this case because we're usually sleeping in the lead up to song releases as long as you don't mind getting up early

    Sounds like Born This Way to me and you won't change my mind For real though I love every part of the song except for the first half of the solo, Matt completely lost me there. I'm hoping it was mostly improvisation. Overall Reapers has reassured me that Muse are still capable of experimentation, thank god.

    What annoys me the most is the amount of footage that is recorded but left to rot in people's hard drives...obviously not everyone needs to upload their footage, but for the number of phones I see up in the air shockingly little ever makes it to youtube.

    Just realised part of the reason why the ass line is so awkward is because it's the American pronunciation i.e. we're more used to hearing arse come out of his mouth.

    Wow I just listened to it on Spotify and it is indeed so much better without the video. Probably due to the fact that the godawful lyrics aren't in your face.

    The lyrics are SO BAD to me. I laughed my way through the first listen. I can't believe it's actually growing on me after a few more listens The vocal melodies tho. Stellar.

    I'm not a fan of the album cover, it's far too literal for my taste, cliche even. It would be my least favourite if not for T2L - the brain didn't relate directly at all wtf.
