    It is kind of just a duller version of Helsinki though... I like these but Chris could take the time to come up with 2 minutes of something new. Also Munich makes sense. It's simple. No need to mess with the convention too much.

    Sounds more like Helsinki 1.5 to me... Guessing this means it didn't make it into the album, which is good news imo. I like it fine on its own.

    After a few listens, I really feel like they could have beefed up the bass more. Sounds really quiet at times. Makes the song seem a bit flat everywhere except the chorus. Still an awesome song though, and even better live.

    Well this is cool and all but honestly, I think this song sounds waaaaaay better live. The studio version sounds a little sparse at times to me. Maybe it's too clean. Also I don't care if people think it's cheesy, I think HERE COME THE DRONES could have used some proper screaming if you're gonna go that route!

    I hope they don't pay the handler or defector. Those sound the most promising to me and I kind of don't wanna ruin them so close to the album's release. They can do the globalist, that one honestly doesn't sound so good to me. A little too much of a film soundtrack and not a song if the long intro and countdown are as the reviews have described it.

    This sounds like the Big Freeze of this album to me. Throwaway title (literally a synonym for Uprising lol), poppy song, somewhere in the second half of the album but before the good closer stuff, no band member makes any mention of it... Maybe they'll play it once or twice on tour and then just forget about it.

    I can't wait to watch videos of Reapers. That was pretty much a flawless performance, and I think I even saw Matt crack a smile while we started clapping along to one of the tapping bits! Also is it me or was the vocoder pretty much not even there? I barely heard it at all.

    Oh my god.... What just happened? I actually have a ticket for this show now!! I'm so crazy excited but also confused because I could only get one and I really wanted to bring my girlfriend to this show... She's happy for me but I wish she could come.

    Making songs out of little things they've been playing for a while is a thing musicians do literally all the time. Butterflies and Hurricanes is heard in a Showbiz era Making Of iirc. Bunch of other examples have been pointed out. I don't know how that keeps coming up as proof of a lack of ideas. If anything what happens is you come up with too many little riffs or hooks and then turn some of them into songs and others fall by the wayside until you revisit them. They don't just "go bad" because they waited to finish them, and it's still music written by them... Not sure how that isn't original.

    I have a feeling those synths are going to sound great in the studio version too.

    Starlight is on the same album as MotP, which is one of their best ever. This was well before NSC. TIRO also has shades of pop. I suspect Matt just, like, meant to write those songs. Also, they're alright. Not shit, not amazing, worth a listen every once in a long while. That's ok. And back on topic, man, they should have led with Mercy. This is immediately catchy, not like Dead Inside.

    This is exactly what I was thinking upon hearing it a third time. But I'm a lot less disgusted by that than I figure most people here are. Idk, I kind of like it. I won't still be listening to it by the time album 8 rolls around, but it'll be a decent radio single. I'll be skipping Dead Inside way more than this. Just my personal preferences.

    I love how this has nothing to do with Glorious whatsoever Actually digging it though! I can see comparisons to Starlight and Resistance, but I don't have a major problem with that. Should make a good single. Much better than Follow Me right now, and I imagine that chorus will only sound 100 times better on a better recording. I'm letting my hype levels rise a bit more. Hope they play it again next week so we can hear it better.
