  1. Thanks for the t-shirt sticky thread!

  2. Mpls is set for March 7. Tix on sale 10/13. :)

  3. I thought it said Kev's testes.

  4. Happy Birthday, Mary! I'm sure you and Rog are having fun celebrating. Glad you're able to make your birthday week even better by going to see Muse! Hopefully they'll break out another "rarity" in Portland. :D

  5. Happy Birthday!!! :D Hope it's a good one.

  6. Hey Cindy! I know you like some of the same bands as me (PT, Biffy, etc...saw your post after mine on "Top 3 Fave Bands"). Are you familiar with Amplifier? I found out about them on this board and just got their first cd. It's really, really good! :\mm/: You might like them 'cause you're a mom who likes to rawk! :Dhttp://www.last.fm/music/amplifier I was just listening to it and thought I'm mention it. :)

I'm seeing PT in April :D, but right now I'm battling PMS (Post Muse Syndrome)...

  7. Oh well, that settles it then. Gotta get a spare. I'll splurge and get the name brand. Earlier I sent the company an email canceling my order. Then I sent them another saying never mind, please send. They're probably like :wtf:

  8. Pip, I got my Lumix camera! Thanks for your info about batteries. I can't decide if I really need a spare (esp. at $32 a pop!), because aside from a gig, I can't imagine a time when I'd be taking so many pictures and not have an opportunity to recharge. I guess you have a spare, but have you had to use it at a gig? I'm so undecided. I probably won't take much vid, if any. Normally I err on the side of caution, but that's a rather pricey safety net. I could maybe get one of the off-brands which are cheaper, and just make sure that it supports the camera's "firmware" whatever the fuck that is!

  9. Have a Musey Birthday, Manuella!:)

  10. Well, when I made my account, musemom was the first thing that popped into my head. It was an okay name, I guess. My daughter is only 6, and up until recently I felt like my main identity was "mom." Not that there's anything wrong with that, but she's finally getting to the age where she's in school and doing her own thing, and I'm starting to get a sense of "me" back and enjoy things I used to before I became a mom. Of course I'll always love being a mom, but I just decided I wanted a less "mom-like" name.

Also, my daughter (who strangely enough was Muse-obsessed when she was 5) sort of came up with the name Furygirl. She said when she was older she wanted to be on the Muse board and have the name Fancy Fury Girl. So I thought that was cute, but the fancy part was a bit much. :chuckle: And Fury is one of my fave songs.

Anyway, I'm totally rambling now. :erm: Thanks again! I really love it here. :)

  11. Thanks, Manuella! I appreciate that, esp. from an original musemom! I sure didn't expect to win, but it's kinda nice. :)

  12. Oh, ok! For some reason from the pics of the camera they looked like they take regular AA batteries, which I know from experience drain quickly. Glad to see they are really lithium instead. Thanks again! Your pics are lovely. :)

  13. Hey Pip! I have a question about your camera. You use that Lumex that lots of people have, right? I was thinking about getting it. (It's been 3 1/2 years since I've bought a camera, so it's time, right? Right?) Was wondering how the battery charge is. The one I have now has a lithium ion battery, and it lasts a really long time. Do you find that during a gig you have to change batteries? Or do you even need a flash at most gigs? I'm sure the flash is what drains the battery. My camera is only a 4x and 6 megapixel which seemed fine at the time.... I have trouble trying to capture any moving images without flash (very blurry), and with flash the color is too dark. Thanks for your help! :)

  14. Hello, fellow "older" Muser!

  15. Thanks so much, Cindy! Wow, they seem to run a bit small then...I'm pretty flat and about a 6-8 US, so a medium may do, or I might just get a large to be safe. Deffos not a small!

Oh, and I didn't get the first message. To repond, you have to hit "view conversation" for it to go to the other person's inbox. If you don't the message just stays in your own inbox. I've done that so many times myself, lol.

    Thanks again!

  16. Hi there! I saw the picture of you in your ".mu forum member" shirt on the t-shirt thread. I want to get one now that I finally have a US gig date! :D What size did you get? It seems like it's always a gamble trying to order any type of Muse shirt! You appear to be about my size, so figured I'd get whatever size you did. Does it seem like it fits okay? Some say they're rather tight across the chest, but I'm quite small in that area, so that wouldn't be an issue. :chuckle: Thanks for your help!! :)

  17. Happy Birthday! I know I don't really know you on here much, but I love your username! :D

  18. Thanks! Aren't you sweet?

  19. Hi Pip! Looks like you had a great gig experience in Tinmuff! Saw you on the a news segment, and a pic of you at the barrier showed up on the gig thread. I followed along with the forum and twitter, so I kinda felt like I was there just a teeny tiny bit. I still refuse to watch the new songs on youtube until I get the cd, though. I'm stubborn. Hope you had an incredible time! Fill us in on the Oldies thread!

  20. Hi! Will you add my local radio station to your post that lists the stations? It's WNNX (99X) Atlanta, Alternative Rock. (97.9 FM) Thanks!!

  21. Okay then. I think I'll just submit a photo instead of trying to do a video. I'm a little technology-challenged with the filming thing. Thanks for taking charge!

  22. Hey there! Regarding this little Muse Thank you idea. I don't have a camcorder so I was wondering, can you use a gif video from a regular digital camera? If not, can I just submit a crazy photo to include during the instrumental parts? If so, can it be a jpeg, or does it have to be a wma or whatever it's called. Thanks! Oh, and BTW, after you read this, click View Conversation to reply. That way it will show up in my inbox. Otherwise it just stays in your messages. I only just now saw your message about the Persistent Fail pic! I did the same thing, so I've learned from experience! Party on, dude.

  23. You're awesome! Congrats! :awesome: I hope you'll post a writeup of your experience. I want to hear about how you "politely" took the key from the agent whilst fighting off hoards of screaming fans. Hope you didn't get trampled too bad. Nice work!

  24. Saw your post on the treasure hunt thread. Just wanted to say Hi! I'm 39 too and my daughter (age 5) loves Muse. Hooray for Muse parents!

  25. Hope you don't mind, but I've used your awesome "Persistent Fail" picture twice today. I'm sure if you were around, you would've done it. There were indeed some fail-worthy threads going on. What a great and useful graphic! But I made sure to credit you. :D I hope you'll be around for the excitement on Monday!
