    Aww! I've been staring at this topshop dress on their site for the past few days in preparation for this friday, when I get paid, and would have been able to order it ($79, including shipping) It's sold out as of this morning :'( I've got laryngitis, I think. Don't actually know though, because I'm too poor to go to the doctor. Life fails.

    Srsly. Last year a guy committed suicide off the top of the apartment building in downtown Wgtn opposite our flat. It was awful.

    We last had a big earthquake in 1855. It's the reason Wellington's actually a city because before that there wasn't enough flat land around the hills/cliffs/islands - the Te Aro flat, Lyall Bay and Kilbernie were all swamps/underwater. I'm most worried about my cousin's house getting looted. It's huge and old and people have broken in a gazillion times over the years - and they've had to leave it because it's structurally unsound, being, y'know, made of bricks and concrete close to 200 years old. It's so sad, though. They worked so hard to afford that place and then restored it painstakingly over about 30 years. Ultimately, it is just a dwelling, though. Better bricks than bodies.

    Trufax. My granddad was the coolest man in the world. That's still so cool So I went out, and instead of doing my laundry, I bought new clothes+towels+sheets. I'm the best grown up ever.

    Aww sucky! Hope it clears up quickly! Your grandparents know how to use skype? My granddad was born in 1911. He had one of those old school enormous box-on-legs upholstered radio sets in the corner of his lounge and I remember going down there in about 2005 (we lived in this massive house altogether til I was 16) and asking if he ever listened to it, to which he replied: 'No, that's my old radio. So, pushing my luck, I said, 'Really?' because I was impressed by the distinction. And he nodded. Then pointed at the tv. 'That's my radio.' I have to go and do my laundry at the laundromat, because we don't have a washing machine and I don't have any towels left. Then I need to go and buy more sheets. Then I need to think about getting a cheap bookshelf from like the warehouse. It's 4pm though, and I think I might just stay in bed all day and do all of that tomorrow.

    And the next time someone asks what Auckland has that Wellington doesn't? I will say karaoke theme rooms. Maaan. Getting sick and trying desperately not to. I might have to invest in some of my actual namesake tomorrow. I am toast if this cold gets to my lungs. French toast.

    Yeah, the first thing I seem to have done upon arriving home is get into my jim jams and go back on the internet. I can quit any time I want.

    Man, I have no idea. My family are just weird. It is indeed Though I've only now got internet access again and am very perturbed that the first thing I'm doing on a Friday morning is going online in bed, but whatever. So gorgeous Wow. I bought chrysanthemum tea yesterday. Just to have. I'm not sure I actually want to drink it though...

    Sadly. My best friend paid for me to go to Europe but I had to turn her down :'( Back at uni though so yey Urgh and I've just been kicked off the internet for the next four days so I'll have to love you and leave you but not for as long as before. You see, I now actually have a laptop
