So, I thought he was doing it bec he was hot, and then repeating for continuity in the DVD, BUT last night I watched out for it and you are right... It's part of his Uprising strut! I had a weird sense of deja vu! Going tonight and I know I'll be watching out for the THING

#ShowbizFor2016 and #AssassinFor2016- how to carry on now
denise3112 replied to Claudia O's topic in Tours
Good luck! I'll be there tonight so I'll be watching for the sign... get your group to shout for Assassin and we'll join in. Have a good one! -
On the way home from the gig.. Crowd a million times better than the Sunday central stage came into its own. So pleased I booked the whole run

Me too with the sleep thing! Going each of the four nights. Am sure we'll get Map, we might get AP. Also like Defector and Revolt hope maybe we'll get one of them. Would be AWESOME/EPIC to get Ruled By Secrecy but I'm not holding my breath!

They sell it in there! Once you're through security.

Are you sure? That sounds not right. What ticket agency did you use?

This sadly is what happened during The Globalist at the O2, people yakety-yak (in the GA) in the quieter bits. Attention span of fleas.

I'm inclined to agree. Although I like it a lot, I don't think it works that well live, at least when I saw it. Think the casual fans don't know it, and many of the long-term fans lose interest bec it's not participatory esp given how long it is. But I do think good on them for giving it a go.

What block are you in at the O2? I was at Brighton last year in GA :-)

This is going stick in my head for when I go again next week. Like a sort of visual brain worm I'll be watching out for it. And I don't want to. Or maybe I do. Eeeeuh!

I meant that he may have just done it the first time bec he was hot, the film editor spotted it and now he's stuck with repeating it. Agree totally it's not sexy, but doesnt look like it's meant to be. He looks like a red-faced toddler who's been zipped into a snow suit and is desperate to get it off!

I noticed he did this at the O2, can't remember at what stage. But he was sweating like a pig in that all-in-one, you could see that. Is possible that having done it once, he keeps repeating this for continuity for the eventual DVD. Uprising is the logical place because he is hands free.

Manchester crowds know how to have a good time! I'm hoping the crowd will be better for the O2 next week also. Monday and Tuesday were the originally advertised dates so maybe they'll have the keenest fans. Last Sunday's O2 was the fifth night put on sale, this may have contributed to the relative quietness.

"Saying you love all Muse songs and gigs because they're Muse, for instance, I believe makes you less of a fan than someone who actually invests some thought into WHY they like things, and not forcing themselves to like all of it." I don't do this. I don't like all Muse songs. (eg Madness GL NSC). I'm delighted TAB has reappeared. It's a favourite all timer for me. I've enjoyed some concerts more than others. I missed PIB at the O2. I don't force myself to like all of it. But I consider myself lucky to be able to go to as many gigs as I do. And I come on the board occasionally to chat really, about the songs, the albums, the staging, the crowd etc but there is SO much negativity on here, eg complaints about being shafted if one song appears rather than another, as if a v.v. small group of fans knows best what the setlists should be.

1. I don't need to feel better. I don't feel bad. I feel good. I've enjoyed the gig I've been to on this tour a lot, came out on a high. Even though the set-list departed considerably from that which would be my personal choice. And I'm not a casual fan. 2. I still LIKE Muse and I'm not expecting to be disappointed for the 4 gigs I go to next week either. 3 If you LIKE(d) Muse this implies that you no longer like them. Why not just move on?

Nope. I don't think so. The attitude that comes across is entitlement which wallows in an endless comfort zone of dissatisfaction.

Nothing can make the older fans happy. Not the ones who post in this thread anyway.

He is the creative force, the front man, the singer, the lead guitarist. Dom and Chris are very good, but they are also lucky that they they hooked up with Matt all those years ago. imo.

Yeah, standing and seats are completely segregated, barrier and security.

Aaah bless! I've taken my lads onto the floor when they've been 14 and 15 and we weren't asked for ID. It probably depends on whether you look young or old for your age. Suggest you go in at doors open time 6.30, when the majority of people are arriving. Haven't you got a friend whose ID you can borrow? They're v unlikely to scrutinise the photo. Good luck

Like you I also much prefer the small gigs and I've seen Muse about 60 times since 2003. I was lucky to get to three of the Psycho gigs last year, and I totally get your disappointment in not being able to. So I didn't really have high expectations for the arena tour bec of the size, staging, likely setlist etc. But I unexpectedly enjoyed the 'show' at the O2 whilst also singing and bouncing till I was sore. And I think the show enhances the album theme. They've taken a risk by doing the Globalist live, and good on them. And the setlist was better than I hoped (although I missed PIB, don't think I'll ever get tired of it). I went for a wee during Meh Madness. I do agree that the staging disperses the energetic elements of the standing crowd into little groups around the floor, but it also brings the whole arena more into one, rather than having a front rammed half and a half-empty back half (the security set up also seemed to cut out those wankers who think they can barge in from the back whenever they like). I'd say Matt and Chris bust a gut running/strutting up and down the length of that arena, trying to play to everyone.
