  1. Anything innovative or popular these days is not coming from rock. Most of it is coming from hip-hop and pop. Rock as we know it is aging and doesn't connect with young people. Muse wish to stay relevant and want to evolve. It's not reasonable to expect them to stick to a dying genre.
  2. The word 'troll' has actually changed in meaning as far as I see. Troll used to mean when people actively try to get a rise out of people through bullying, taunting, memes etc. But these days I see the term used for things like shitposting and negative opinions. I think in the latter case it is sometimes used to dismiss criticism of something as 'the internet being stupid'.
  3. Honestly, I only put the ones I'm even comfortable with seeing ranked below Guiding Light. They're closest to its badness. I cannot be bothered actually listening to these songs to figure out whether they're actually better.
  4. Chris's backing vocals on HLTW are awesome. They seemed to cover it really well without much effort - just reminds me how talented they are as musicians.
  5. Is it just me or in most performances of Pressure so far, Matt looks like he's having trouble singing the verses and playing the riff at the same time? I kinda get distracted looking at how much he has to concentrate on it.
  6. Does this song have the worst acronym of any Muse song? GUAF!! It sounds like two pugs smashing into one another.
  7. Perturbator is pretty easy to get into, try his Dangerous Days album. I was addicted to Raw Power for ages.
  8. The closest thing I can think of is Numb but it's still a stretch.
  9. I have sighed as much as anyone over Muse's corn and cheese songs in the past. But I'm just fine with this one. It's pretty sharp and poppy and doesn't outstay its welcome. It's not much more than decent though.
  10. BHAR is the only Muse album to really get critical acclaim. I think Abso and Origin are looked upon a bit more favourably in retrospect, but not enough for people to really get down to legacy reviewing them.
