Just a heads up. We might release another track from the album tomorrow. It's the heaviest thing we've ever done, and in my opinion it has the best chorus of any of our songs.
edit:
Aaaaand it's up!

Great song! What kind of chords you using for the chorus? I might hear it wrong but aren't those jazz chords?

The last two pages of this thread reminded why I haven't visited this board in a month. Keep it up, guys.
Like it was my fault... Tell that to that freakin awful troll.

Proof of Dee's lacking intelligence: posts trolling and insulting stuff
I wasn't expecting you dropping by... Oh wait.
-
-
It's okay LiT. Don't be upset. It's only the internet.
You forgot: Internet and people like you
-
You seem really upset. Have I touched a nerve?
-
You seem upset.
You seem useless.
-
And this time I'm not even involved!
When I saw you posted here, I was hoping it wasn't something that will involve you.
Thank God it's not.
DeeDee always proves he has no intelligence whatsoever because he can only post trolling and insulting stuff when he appears. Then he disappers for another month or two. What a waste of space.
-
Humour, knowledge, common sense....a lot of things are lost on him.
I had to edit my post...
You are still clueless in every aspect and vomit random insulting comments when you like.
-
What pretentious bastards use 6 strings?
Noo you though I mean the classical instrumentation (violins etc).
-
Since when did regular indie rock make use of strings and synths?
.
You misunderstood me. I mean the guitar strings. There are six (you know) and most of indie rockers and post-punk artists tend to use the upper ones for darker mood in Standard tuning.
And nowadays basically every indie band uses synths.
-
Intro, pre-chorus, chorus and bridge remind me of Muse quite a lot. It's not about how the riffs are single note or what the chords are.
I considered how the technical aspect influence the sound.
If it was Drop D (is it or not? I can't test it without my guitar) then I'd say maybe, but still, those riffs are more similar to bands like Franz's standard tuning songs.
-
According to themselves they are...
Hmm... It's still sounds like regular indie rock. Using the up string for single note riffs and the tipical indie chords.
-
Some bands that are/maybe are influenced by Muse -(disbanded )(and formerly known as Reckless, may ring some bells)
Tacado - Carnage (It's been taken off from their old YouTube account, but I still have it)
The intro of
(and which the verse I find a bit laughable after that heavy intro)How the hell Civil Sin is inspired by Muse? It's just a tipical indie rock sound, most of the bands use single note up string riffs, like FF, Interpol, etc. Even I use it. And I'm not sure that Civil Sin is even Drop D. But my guitar is not here with me atm to test it.

But by your definition, any chance only means most of the chances.
So really you should be thankful.
I wish there was a word-twister award.
-
For chrissakes
Just the same. They take any chance to argue with me.

"Acoustic versions ruin every song"
"Acoustic versions can be good"
"Enjoy only listening to acoustic songs forever"
You missed my point. And you should reread my post.
Most electric guitar songs lose their appeal after being transformed into acoustic songs.
Hoewever I even mentioned exceptions when it can be good. But most of the time it's just dull shit.
-
-
Then I suggest you re-read your first post on the subject you bellend.
You live happily after with your only acoustic songs you bellend.
-
Of course.
Then?
-
It's Muse of course.
I'm fucked then. I thought it's Paraless.
-
You're cute when you're clueless.
I wish your favourite band only released acoustic songs til the end of their career.
-
What LiT fails to realise is that acoustic versions don't just lose an aspect of the song, but that they can also gain quite a lot that wasn't there before.
It isn't about losing instruments, it's about gaining a new perspective on a song, and hopefully enjoying it.
The gain fuck all. Probably boredom and a generic sound.
-
Why would anyone want a shitty acoustic version of any song... That is the way to lose the magic of any song.
Of course, exceptions exist though. But it's rare and it has to be an original acoustic written song. Like Truckdriver.
Speculation on future gigs/tours
