Last night and a friends 18th I requested plug in baby and it cleared the dancefloor. They didn't have supermassive black hole. If they had I'd have asked for that... it was either plug in baby or time is running out. Probably should have gone for time is running out actually.

well I'm not sure - I think you can use a small amount of a song without having to get permission or pay anyone. They'd probably get money for the perfume ads and that but when it's just used on telly programs I'm not sure. sing for abso was on scuzz about 20 mins ago.

I was sitting there just WAITING for them to use muse. I honestly thought they were going to have a montage of the master with take a bow playing in the background - with all the scenes of destruction and the earth all ruined and stuff. but nooo - instead it was invincible. And it wasn't even the guitar solo - it was all the quiet bits which would be boring if it wasn't for the fact that it was building to something. but they cut out the bit it was building towards. Well done.

Which other songs have been used? I saw knights of cydonia with those scarecrows (my family actually called me into the room to show me) and I saw starlight today. I'd be surpised if they haven't used supermassive black hole yet!

I saw that! I never watched hollyoaks and I flicked over to E4 once and caught the end, and there was showbiz - with some guy brandishing some pills at a sleeping woman or something.

Did anyone watch the Bafta's? When Daniel Craig walked out they played supermassive black hole, and my mum told me they also used another muse song after I went to bed (I had school the next day, don't mock me) that she thinks was starlight.

It was pretty great, Russel Brand's foul mouth set to knights of cydonia. Song suited him surprisingly well. Didn't they use hysteria for Leo Sayer's clips of best bits ages ago when he left the house?

My friend Chris thought they were playing supermassive black hole in macdonalds the other day. It was actually the M People. I hate macdonalds. Even their hot chocolates are scummy.

I noticed that, I saw it earlier, then again during the dancing on ice ad break (I stopped watching dancing on ice because it was so boring - "I know, let's watch a load of people who don't know how to dance on ice, dancing on ice" "GENIUS IDEA! LET'S DO IT" ) I wasn't entirely sure if it was map of the problematique - the second part where you can hear the guitars come in a bit more sounded a bit different. I also flicked over to malcom in the middle earlier, and they were using franz ferdinand for a school dance scene! Yay. I was also watching you've been framed earlier (yes, I had a really lazy day and watched a load of tv) and I reckon it's only a matter of time before they use "supermassive black hole" for footage of people falling into holes, or just falling over, or between boats, or other such things.)

Children of men is really good, but really depressing. I don't see how motp could fit a trailer for it though. I'll see if it's up on youtube. imo the music for the uk adverts and trailers was perfect. I don't know what it was though. bah, it doesn't seem to exist anywhere on the internet.

I had a dream I was on the Crystal Maze, and for some reason the whole team were doing a group game, and the timer ran out and we ALL GOT LOCKED IN. and because we were all locked in there were no team mates to save us, so we were trapped there for the rest of our lives. Not related to muse. But it was interesting.

I had a dream I was front row at a muse concert a couple of days after I got into them. I vaguely remember having a dream where I met Matt, but I don't remember exactly what happened. I think he came into work and ordered a book off me. The first one was sort of funny, because the stage looked really shit, there was water all over it, and wires everywhere. They could have electrocuted themselves. It was great though, it was like they were playing a festival, but I was the other side of the barrier, closer to the band. I got told off by a roadie for tripping over some wires.
