  1. uh...i saw them in the year 2000...it was their californication tour. i couldn't remember who the opening band was or if there even was one but wouldn't it be funny if it were MUSE and i totally forgot that it was them? don't think they had an opening band tho, and I think MUSE only opened for them for the american leg of their tour. or was it the european...? i think it's american... i still have the setlist with me cos i wrote it down right after i got back. and i still have that book in which i've written it. xxD yours would be the stadium arcadium tour, no? hmm march 19th...woudn't MUSE be in japan sometime around then as well? or have they already left by then? oh well, if you can catch them as well, you should...though i prolly didn't have to tell you that, huh?
  2. that's because you probably weren't the first, hahaha. and sadly for the receptionists on duty, you're probably not going to be the last either. don't ask for muse, ask for a...say...mr. hector berlioz...or fake an eastern european sounding name to get them to refer you to the nearest sounding one....or something. i mean if you're really that serious about looking them up. i think it's protocol, that if the presenter/sponsor is of the haram variety, whatever they're presenting has to come with that little tag. tiger can't exactly advertise its product but it can establish brand consciousness and image via events like this...but because it's an alcohol brand, some measure of precaution must be taken, or rather, imposed on it by the powers that be. nah, it really isn't that big. unless your concept of near constitutes a distance that's microscopic, you shouldn't have too much trouble seeing them from the 2nd tier. I was on the 2nd (out of 3, i think) tier when i watched RHCP in perth and while the shots i took weren't anything to call home about, i could see all of the band members just fine from my vantage point. didn't even have to squint ot anything. 2nd tier's prolly only about two badminton courts or so away (according to my pops anyway)...it's good enough. not so sure about the air conditioning and ventilation though. you might want to consider bringing a fan along. i can think of a joke to tell about that one but i think it wouldn't be very proper.
  3. it can still happen. but it doesn't have to revolve around me, does it? and not many people seemed too interested when i tried rallying for it. and it almost seemed like i was doing it alone, too. speaking of which, did you know, if i had adamantly held on to the notion of being inside the pitt, i'd be pretty much on my own despite my earlier efforts of trying to form that so-called group? it really was ineffectual. so yeah, if this is what you mean by "so much for the Mosh-Pit Survival Support Team", then you can't imagine how right you are. can't say i didn't try, though. so yeah, there you have it. another reason why i caved.
  4. i have one, which, i suppose i'm letting go. and nope. not a spot of courage left in me after singapore.
  5. well it is kind of like a book when you come to think of it. just without binding and front and back covers and all that. a virtual one, if you must. and nope. i'm settling for seated.
  6. ^don't get mistaken for a scalper, yeah? oh and about your random question, i saw it. i'm sorry i didn't answer earlier, it just completely slipped my mind. anyway i'll answer it now. it's a line from a story i read online. i read a lot of stories and webcomics online and sometimes, i'll stumble across a line or two that will make linger to read over and over and...that's where most of my quotes come from.
  7. i seem to recall someone here having an extra RM53 ticket and is looking for company. not sure if that's been snapped up yet or not, tho. and yeah, it's only one ticket.
  8. ...there's a jalan bellamy? sure gives a sharp perspective of grandfathers buying up roads, doesn't it?
  9. wow, one would think that you have some sort of radar working for you. that was really quick. but yeah, i'm thinking of selling off my pitt ticket. i have to be honest, though, while i bought it at a 30% discount, i intend to charge the normal price to help cover some of the cost i've put out for the previous concert...and not to mention that it being cheaper than the worth of my numbered seat doesn't sit quite right with me. so, yeah. still think you want it? p/s: btw, you wouldn't happen to be friends/colleagues with someone called dann, would you?
  10. nope, not too late. since it's confirmed, anyone who hops on hereafter can only make a good difference. ^_^ remember to copy and paste the info together with the list of attendees and add yourself in it. ^_^ and xzedorax? are you still looking around for that elusive pitt ticket?
  11. well, you'll figure it out eventually. and deb, crazy and whoever else is concerned, i'm now 80% leaning towards just going for the numbered seat so...haha so nothing really. just wanted to let you all know.
  12. huh? it is entirely up to you, mate. although, if you do have stuff you need to bring and are confident that you'll be able to hold on to it come hell or high water, then by all means bring a bag along. i think you, at least, are going to need to bring stuff anyway. just make sure it's something that doesn't require too much attention (ie: you probably don't want to bring Gucci purse, if you own one, but i guess you don't need me to tell you that, huh?). i find one of them sling/messenger ones works well for me. mind, i can't 100% say for sure that you won't lose your bag but it minimizes the risk. if you are really paranoid, though, then it's probably best you don't bring anything, or at least bring only stuff that won't devastate you too much losing (packet tissue, a few bucks, a bottle of water, the like). things like your cell and ID you can probably stuff in your jeans pocket so do that.
  13. i don't know actually. but yeah, i guess it doesn't really matter as long as they don't make a habit out of it.
  14. haha, i think it's the Japanese you've got them mixed up with. although i'm not sure about the punctuality of the English people in general. but hey, let's not generalize. and sides, from the reviews of previous gigs i have read, they (the band) are generally pretty punctual. it is even understandable if they were about fifteen minutes late you but can't help but raise your brow when it's triple that, heh.
  15. hum...there are a few places i could name but well, it is not really that important, is it? what matters is that they will be at the stadium come showtime. and grah, i hope they won't be as late as they were for the singapore gig.
  16. you know, Kuala Lumpur is really not that huge. definitely smaller than the whole of singapore, at least. And KL is all the band will have time for during their stint here.
  17. Meet-up, meet-up. Venue: Starbucks, New Wing, 1 Utama Time: 2:30p.m. (ditunda 1 jam) Date: February 24, 2007 (Saturday) i think it is an official go so if anyone wants to join, feel free to add your name to the list (damn, if i get a penny everytime i hear--rhetorically speaking, of course--myself spew this line on the board, i would be wealthy enough to get MUSE to play in my backyard and screw this concert and all the indecision on my part that came with it).
  18. i don't know why. i can see them just fine, even with my obsolete graphic card and all.
  19. sorry. my hard drive is obsolete thus did not come installed with stalker mode when my parents brought me into this world. that, and they are a little technologically-challenged and are too content with my basic functions to think i warrant an upgrade after so many years. you, on the other hand, seemed to have gotten yourself a nice little upgrade there. lucky you.
  20. guy from grey said there will not any meet n' greets cos the band will not be here long enough to hold one (cos it usually comes together with press conferences...damnable things, those are) but i am not sure whether he was being serious or was just teasing when he said he would be meeting them, since he is on the PR side of things something or other. the most woeful part of the conversation for me was the fact that he said (after i prompted him by asking, of course, as i doubt too many malaysians will be so forthcoming with information otherwise) there might not be any alcohol served at the event. if there really is not any, i am going to be pretty bummed the whole night cos i am hoping for at least one plastic cupful to help me unwind and put some of my fiercer inhibitions to rest. i am even willing to pay for it. he seemed pretty unsure though so there is still hope yet. >=) either way, there you go. did my part and asked. don't know anything about backstage passes, though, so good luck with that, y'all.
  21. trader's or something along that line but it is a proven fact that it is not absolute the sponsoring hotel provides the accomodation, as in the case with singapore.
