In the Live At Rome CD/DVD there are some songs not included on it, MOTPM, Liquid State, Time is running out, stockholm syndrome, unintended, Blackout and unsustainable. I wonder why they were cut out (especially Time is running out and stockholm syndrome, the popular ones). Also for HAARP they cut out Citizen Erased.
Citizen Erased wasn't played on the date they filmed. They cut Sing For Absolution, Bliss and Sunburn.
Btw they cut out more than just CE for HAARP. The slightly longer answer based on logic alone: They want to fit it into one CD/DVD because of costs, as well as there not being a lot of incentive to add another disc for like 5-7 more songs. Also maybe Muse want to showcase their best side. It's a bit of a different take on the best of-album, which kinda loses its punch if there's too much material. It could also be that the band simply didn't like some of the performances, or maybe they didn't make much sense on the medium (For example Bliss being cut from the Hullabaloo CD, most likely because half of the song is spent running around the stage popping balloons)
Isn't the Hullabaloo CD just showcasing their non-singles? (apart from Muscle Museum)

Why not debut a couple new songs? I'd be surprised if they played Glastonbury without something really strange. They already played it as safe as they could in 2010.
They played CE and did a cover. That was risky for TR Muse!
I think it'll be some sort of nod to BHaR, probably playing all 6 of the songs they've already done on the tour and then some Drones songs and a few additional hits.
-
They're rehearsing in London today, apparently... Maybe we'll see something new pop up at the upcoming shows?

Is for the pasta, that kind of food make italians better than the rest of humans, specially americans.
Pizza, coffee, ice cream. Italians do it better

That guy's attention span sounds pretty pathetic.
Feeling Good was before it I think

The world needs more Assassins
JFK + Assassin = WTF really how could you wow this is awesome yeaaahhhh

When it started up at 2006 Reading, Vel turned to me and said, 'oh god, this'll lose the crowd'
Random matey walked past on his way to another stage, says to his mate, 'yeah, they've lost me'
Nottingham 2006, my mate asked 'so do you think they're gonna do the album in order' 'yeah I guess so, 5 in a row is a bit weird' 'oh fuck Invincible is next, do you want a beer?' and then climbed and fell all over the people in front of us and missed Assassin
-
I always try for one per tour. Haven't seen any drones shows yet though
I wasn't going to bother with the last tour but I got convinced. Then the cheese-fest + bottles of wine got me drunk.
-
Ah good i can admit I don't like it and not get slated lol! It's my least favourite song, off my favourite album. I just, it's so bad.
But then again, i imagine it was a nice break in the BHaR gig days
It was a song that really stood out as being a stadium ballad, and was a staple and a single whilst CoD, Assassin were underplayed. Guiding Light however took it up another notch
-
Amazing how many times some people see bands. I think I've seen a band 4 times at the most. But then again I WOULD like to see them again, so I guess I haven't really reached my limit.
Twice per album tour I'd say is the limit. A big gig and a small one

I'd say his best period for lyrics was probably OOS > Abso. The actively good ones have always been in the minority but those are the only two where there's very few, if any, that are actively bad. Black Holes doesn't do too bad either:
Showbiz: Sunburn vs. Fillip, Cave, Uno, Sober, Escape, Overdue
OOS: Citizen, Screenager, Dark Shines, Megalomania vs. Space Dementia(?)
Abso: Stockholm, FAWY, RBS vs. [...]?
Black Holes: TAB(?), Map, COD, Hoodoo vs. Supermassive, Soldier's Poem(?), Exo-P
TR: Undisclosed vs. Uprising, USOE, US, IBTY
T2L: [...]? vs. Supremacy, Panic Station, Survival, Animals(?), Explorers, Big Freeze
Drones: Dead Inside vs. Psycho(?), Mercy, Reapers, Defector, Revolt, Aftermath, Globalist, Drones
Jesus, doing that made me realise just how dire the last two albums are lyrically (and that's without even counting NSC).
Animals is fine until the 'kill yourself and do us all a favour' part
-
I just want them to make music that isn't bad. Is that too much to ask?
It's my birthday. I got an email from Muse, and it was this!
-
Would be, but its just during, as the Euro 2016 Final is July 10th. Prize for reaching the Quarter Finals?
What could be more English than celebrating a quarter final?

I'm actually curious as to what they think isn't working in Defector, because I didn't notice anything really wrong with the one performance.
Maybe they just don't like it? Same with Aftermath I guess
-
Why do you think it was inferior? It seemed pretty great to me. I mean, I would be on the ninth cloud if they were going to play such a setlist in Milan, mashed with the new Drones songs in and Defector eventually replacing Madness.
The third-phase of the setlists, could see the new structure of Defector finally coming in after JFK, Madness going the way of UD/Resistance, popping up at a few gigs, maybe the 'heavy' song (mostly Stockholm, sometimes Hysteria, or even Reapers/Assassin) going before JFK so there's a big outro before the interlude? I think Prelude/Starlight would be better immediately after the piano song too.

not sure how well an interval would work at standing gigs though?
It's just like having an encore early.
These gigs could have been something like:
Act 1 - 'Drones story'
Act 2 - Prologue/Epilogue
Act 3 - Hits and stuff
