I had the choice of four gigs
Showbiz was played at 3 out of those 4
I went to the other one
Same. I live 1.5 hours by public transport from Leeds festival site and I decided to spend 5 hours travelling to Belfast
-
Didn't they do some new visuals for Butterflies and Hurricanes in 2010 and then only play it 5 times?

Mercy/Madness/Dead Inside/Starlight really killed the vibe for me. Mercy and Dead Inside (since Matt does nothing in Starlight anymore) would have been enough. Even throwimg in Plug In Baby rather than something like Showbiz would have improved that section.
Psycho to Supermassive was excellent and Take a Bow was a pleasant surprise. New Born and Hysteria sounded the best they've sounded in a long time to me.
Oh and Dig Down is truly terrible

I think Belfast/R+L will be an upgrade on the US sets so Bliss and Map more likely, Showbiz added, Muscle Museum instead of Dead Inside/UD, Assassin or Dead Star after Isolated System and New Born to close the main set instead of The Globalist. Maybe CE or Butterdlies thrown in for something
-
I really hope Showbiz sticks around
-
Oh right, so they actually mentioned they might play Easily in that interview (I should really get round to listening to that...)?
Yeah Matt said something like 'I think this one might get votes'. It seemed he wanted to play it
-
Belfast (if SBE songs stick around):
[Drill Sergeant]

Map of the Problematique
Showbiz

Typical of Muse, too afraid to play what the fans want, Fcuk Me, though I've not voted its very cheeky, only because they are so lazy they don't want to rehearse the songs, Mr Pro Brexit had to have chosen the songs he wanted eh.............
Though I'm not keeping up with much will the set be announced before the gig or will they do it on the night to keep us in suspense?
Brexit set = staples plus Ruled By Secrecy?

Top 5 would be extremely shite given the official statement said 10. They could really do with clarifying this before the general sale.
Even if it is top 5, you would think it's still going to be a Zepp/Montreux type show.
Am I missing the obvious that Top 10 would increase the chances of people putting near-staples on their lists? Expect loads of requests for Hysteria, Plug In Baby, Stockholm Syndrome...
-
TSP was always so great live too.
That version is so much better than the one we got on the Absolution Arena Tour which I remember being really flat (and Matt did all the vocal parts). I was gutted as my mate went the night after and got Micro Cuts

Piano Cave was awesome.
They just don't try that much anymore. It's so blamd these days. But occasionally something happens (Take a Bow, Assassin, Apocalypse Please). Such a troll band
-
Soldier's Poem? Really? The piano version was better anyway
-
Pff you and your honeyed words.
Such stinging criticism
-
is this enforced? got a 15 year old that I want to take for his birthday present but don't want to risk paying for flights and hotel and tickets and not get in!!
From last year (you might want to check its not changed):
Up to two under-16s can go to Vital as long as they're accompanied by a parent or guardian over 25.
Under-16s must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times at the festival.

The Twitter account for BBC's Match of the Day said something involving Muse's Dig Down is going to be at the end of tonight's show, which was re-tweeted by Muse's Twitter account.
Quite a curio if its this big statement song about the times we're in, and its being used by shit like the CW or football highlights. Then again I recall a big thing about Reapers being used at the FA Cup Final, which is an odd forum for it.
I'm not sure how many Muse songs lead themselves for football shit, mind. Even if I did kinda have a chuckle when I saw a game at Southampton last April and the chorus of Uprising was the music when the teams walked on.
Map and Butterflies were used for F1 and Final Score I think so they have the sport links bizzarely
-
How much were tickets?

What really worries me is how this is gonna affect the touring as well.
By the looks of it, they're gonna be touring the US this year, Europe next year, then they're putting the album out which you'd have to assume means another year or two of touring on top of all that (right?). I mean, touring for Drones lasted two years total and they already looked crazy bored and apathetic for big chunks of that by the time they got halfway through.
It's not even like there'll be 5 or 6 new songs to see at gigs to compensate for the likely static sets either (which look to just be a continuation of Drones' structure anyway), it'll just be 1 every few months for over a year.
Just sealed my trip to Belfast with plane and hotel reservations yesterday as well

I didn't appreciate it at the time but it was the advantage of getting BHAR in full in 2006.
Then I saw it at it's only performance on the Drones arena tour at a gig I only decided to go to the day before
