Matt being a leave voter isn't surprising in the slightest. Didn't he wear a t-shirt at Reading in 2006 that linked to Alex Jones? He's talked about David Icke a few times too from what I recall. And songs along the lines of Uprising, USoE and the conspiracies about a New World Order, USoE seemed to me about the 'ever closer union' of the EU and moves to consolidate the political power. Then there was the whole Glen Beck thing

Just to a silent disco, choose your setlist out of some set rotations, pretend they're on stage
-
Animals was played 11 times according to setlidt.fm
-
Belfast closed with Reapers as well.
I know, I was there
-
The real set didn't end with Harmonica>Knights either.
Ah Reapers closing
-
TSP and TOADA would be good...they don't seem too difficult vocally? Also, the return of Hoodoo to the piano section is long overdue.
Edit: forgot about the trumpet in CoD, it won't happen but they should bring Dan back so he can do it on Knights as well.
I saw CoD at Nottingham Arena where the trumpet solo was replaced by a guitar solo. Apparently Muse changed the set last minute to do the album in order and Dan had the night off

This, of all the songs on the last album, I thought Mercy has the best chance of becoming a staple. I just got the impression Matt enjoyed it probably because of the above. I expect it to be another Starlight and get played every gig, tbh.
I think Psycho will stay, and that's about it. I love DI but DI+Madness is too much and I don't see them dropping Madness. I feel like Reapers and the Handler will become super rare (especially here in the US). I just thank goodness I was able to hear Defector live on this tour because I don't think they'll ever play it again
Reapers and The Handler will be the US and MK Ultra of this album.
I think Madness could go, but if they're going to play at least one song off each album since Abso then I guess Madness is the only one they'd go to (Animals seemed to die out and the rest never appeared except at a handful of gigs, surely IS wont stick around).
I'd expect Psycho and Mercy from this album, with Dead Inside maybe cropping up now and then.

"If only Muse were more like Radiohead!" - Muse board, 2016
How did it come to this?
It's been like this since 2006 to be fair.
Anyway Radiohead have 9 albums but you never really know what songs you're going to get. A few crop up more often than others but there's not so much pattern.
With Muse the structure of the setlist and staples have barely changed since 2007, plus the sets are generally shorter with more filler.
-
The U2 arena shows I went to had 25 songs each night, I was very pleased with that given they're in their mid fifties now. They had a pretty set structure for the gigs but they still had had five or six rotation spots each night and weren't afraid of playing the odd rarity, one even became a staple.
I'd never expect Muse to do a Springsteen/Pearl Jam in terms of length or rotation but...I just don't get how they've managed to play less songs this tour, it baffles me.
Very unfamiliar with their music but from what I've heard Radiohead mix things up a lot too? Have they always done that?
Radiohead have never played the same set twice from what I recall

The Globalist or Yes Please + Agitated + Feeling Good/USoE ?
I quite like USoE
-
He said he'd vote leave because he's against decentralized governments, coming from the man that wrote The Globalist/Ruled By Secrecy/tons of Orwellian-themed material and a fan of David Icke/Alex Jones and that book Confessions of an Economic Hitman, I'm not surprised. At least he's practicing somewhat of what he preaches.
Seriously, is anyone surprised? I genuinely want to know what made people think that he'd support the United Kingdom/European Union or any form of federal government. Have you seen the visuals for United States of Eurasia with the shot of the UN and listened to anything he's ever said politically?
JFK came on shuffle today and made me think of the more cartoonish Brexiter response to the EU 'EUSSR'

10 días para verlos otra vez
Ojalá toquen CE
Al final fui a la playa

And being honest, I really don't believe the arena sets were 2 hours, even with all the playback.
Manchester was 1hr 50
-
It gets by far the best general reaction out of all the piano songs they've been playing tbf. Shame, because it's also by far the worst.
They should play Sunburn more. Seems to get good reactions whenever it is played and is a much much superior song to Feeling Good
-
Then they won't even show up to perform in the US due to President Trump's ban on anything remotely mexican.
-
Yes, but that could mean no Plug In Baby which makes me a little sad. Still, will 100% get to hear in Copenhagen if so.
Also very happy they played Feeling Good in Prague, so the chance for it tonight is minimal. Wouldn't actuallymind getting Resistance tonight - I think it's cool.
They did both Bliss and PiB in London so it's possible. I wish they'd drop TIRO rather than one of those two
-
New Born will be back at some point.
