Chelsea should've won! damn penalties! Safe to say that at Penang, I ate, makan-ed, ate, ate, makan more and ate til my heart's consent. My only regret was not eating Pasembur! (no more space in my stomach la!) But really, Penang has the craziest one-way streets. Ever! The trip ended up a little stressful due to all the navigations lol It was a nice change of environment however! On with the replies: i hate myself for this but for some reason i just cant remember him in Ally Mcbeal! i guess i was still pretty young when i watched it. i was seriously cracking my head when i read on wiki that he was on Ally Mcbeal! i remember Robert Downey Jr, but i dont remember James Marsden =( was he Ally's boyfriend or something? Yes, he played this new young lawyer working at Ally's firm. Ally dated him briefly but then she broke it off (I think) because she thinks he's too young for her and that he's still in love with his ex-girlfriend - who happens to be a lawyer as well working at Ally's firm. If my memory doesn't fail me, I remember there was this one episode where James took the mic and started singing along with Vonda Shepard. He was soo adorable in that epi! Oh, and I looove that James GAP ad too! I would walk pass by his ad at One Utama and force my friends to take random pictures of me and the ad (I also did the same with the huuuggge cardboard cut out of Prince Caspian at Sunway! Wish there was some way I could steal it.. Sigh. Oh, and I remember reading a post in this thread a year ago about how this guy managed to get Muse's cardboard cut out from a shop or something... he brought it into the LRT as well and people were staring at him? lol.) Little known Ally McBeal trivia : Hayden Panettiere of Heroes fame played Ally's daughter, Maddie! ----------- LOL SERIOUSLY? what movie is that?! P.S- girls, the JRM, Ewan and Cristian Bale is Velvet Goldmine, supposedly inspired by Bowie shenanigans. But dont watch it if u cant take explicit man-on-man action / garish rock star fashion, or you'll be scarred forever. heheh. Hehe, yes Velvet Goldmine! I'm guessing you watched it before, Miele? Lol. It was.. disturbing for sure but I can't help but love the fact that JRM, Ewan & Christian all had their moments with each other in VG XD Speaking of actors working together.. I cannot wait for the new Johnny Depp/Christian Bale/David Wenham/Channing Tatrum movie, Public Enemies! Johnny Depp ANDDD Christian Bale? with David Wenham (Faramir) added to that! oh my goodness!! I'm not sure if my ovaries can take it! and I thought The Prestige had the best cast ever (Wolverine and Batman going up against each other? RAWR.) An amazing movie btw. (well, according to this rather trust-worthy blog where i first heard of the Explosions in the Sky gig) Post-rock band Mono's playing a show here in July as well. Last but not least... don't quote me on this.. but, I also read that Sigur Ros might just stage a show in Singapore later this year! guilt-stricken Posted May 24, 2008 Share Posted May 24, 2008 MMMM yeah i remember that!!! she was SOOO young back then omg. so shocking to see her all grown up and gorgeous now. aww he sang in Ally Mcbeal?!?! now i'm tempted to download those episodes hahaha. nothing better than a young James Marsden! yeah i took a pic of that gap poster as well!! i put it as my phone's wallpaper but now it got replaced with a smiling pic of Prince Caspian from the Star Newspaper... aaaaah... omg i MUST take a pic of that cardboard cut out with Prince Caspian as well btw, about Ally Mcbeal, did the whole series end with her flying off to somewhere or something because Maddie wanted to see her dad or something? i remember that was the very last episode i watched and i was dying to watch the next season but nothing came out You can watch him sing here! Goshh.. James Marsden's voice is soo dreamy! *melts* When I have the time, I think I'll watch/stream Ally McBeal again! The whole thing she had to go through with Billy was so tragic. In Ben Barnes' next show, he stars with Jessica Biel!! that lucky *insertswearwordhere*. she's together with Justin Timberlake and she gets to marry Ben Barnes! roaaaaaaar. i wanna be Jessica Biel. lol. Ehhh 27 year old guys can be so much more appealing than 18-22 year old guys! They're definitely a lot more mature :] Apparently if you eat that special set at Kenny Rogers (the restaurant, that is.. not the person lol!) you stand a chance to win Narnia muffin goodies! Ooooohh don't let me get started with Spike (James Marsters!)! lol Caspian I had in mind was pretty young... about 15 or so haha! I want proof first! lol! so that i wont get my hopes up. among all the bands i love, death cab was one of the few that i thought will NEVER come to our shores because we're so ulu to the rest of the world. have you heard their new song from their new album? i think its called I WIll Posess Your Heart or something. i only heard the last minute of it (more or less, on Channel V) and it sounded really rock! less acoustic emo nemo Death Cab. i wasn't sure it was them til i saw the vocalist's face. If they're really coming, i'm gonna start listening to ALL their songs. i only have a few favourites now I loooove Title & Registration from Transatlanticism! I'm not sure what I should really feel now. I think the Death Cab gig is pretty much confirmed - unless the permits don't get through at the last minute! I've been told by my friend who's involved in it as well! Apparently Homegrown Records will be the main organizer. Yeah that's a very good thing to have! Does this show that Muse has the most dedicated and passionate fans? lol... Meet Michelle Nolan, of Straylight Run fame. Best part? She plays guitar, keyboard AND she sings! I have a friend who adores Michelle Branch: At least, the MB 5-6 years back... I heard about that too, I think I heard the rumour for a Malaysian gig as well! A number of my friends would definitely be excited for Paramore, but really, i'm saving all my excitement for... DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE! well not exactly mainstream, but still - they're actually playing a gig here in Malaysia THIS AUGUST! I'm so excited!! Never in a million years would you think DCFC would even want to play in Malaysia. But it's happening! (well, according to this rather trust-worthy blog where i first heard of the Explosions in the Sky gig) Post-rock band Mono's playing a show here in July as well. Last but not least... don't quote me on this.. but, I also read that Sigur Ros might just stage a show in Singapore later this year! Wow, finanlly someone has taken notice that we've been deprived of good shows here! 2008 is seriously a good year for post rock in South East Asia! Have fun in t'ganu! I love 'em keropok lekors! Congrats! I can't believe my holidays are coming to an end however That girl is just like a female Matt!! She can sing and plays the guitar + keys.... Yeah true older guys ARE generally more mature, responsible and appealing, but i dunno! i feel intimidated by age. they're also more experienced in certain things i'm not experienced in if you catch my drift if only he was like... in his early twenties. then it would be so bad lol did they mention it in the book about his age? no way can he take so much responsibility at the age of 15!! maybe 18... or more la. when he's a 'man' oh btw i watched Prince Caspian again LOL. and this time, in every scene that Barnes was in (even if he's in the background), i'd be staaaaaaaaaaring at him, grinning to myself i cant help it! he's so beautiful! but that Spanish accent of his.. plus the fake hair and fake tan. not that nice. but he's still beautifiul Omg this is such a small world, Title & Registration is my handphone ringtone! i like the first guitar-y part of the song! very ringtone-worthy. lol. omg. your friend is involved? can we get backstage passes? wait you said you read it on a blog that Death Cab is coming right? linkage please! Before you call me a crazy Ben Barnes fan though (although I don't think I would mind ) the onllyyyy thing that I really look forward to would be the end credits actually. Haha.. You see, Switchfoot actually wrote a song called for the movie. Disney however, played a completely different version of the song during the credits - a stripped down version with a lot of "magic" thrown into the lyrics (literally). Before the movie was released, we've been told that This Is Home was supposed to be featured in the movie too, but then Disney must've overlooked Switchfoot and they cut off their parts only to play a different version of the song during the credits Sigh, can't complain though - after all I did get to hear Switchfoot through the theatre speakers... :] and also bugging ppl to stay for the credits lol. *sets Title & Registration as ringtone* ... *forces sister to call* OMG you're right! It works as a ringtone! I doubt my friend would give me backstage passes... unless I start dating him lol. Guilty pleasure la... It's like when I watched The OC, I keep telling myself I only watch for the music. Lol. I don't quite like the ending too but I'm not sure what I really feel. There were so many things to digest in the end. I love Rufus though! Or maybe it's just the whole... rockstar thing I hope he gets together with Lily. Also, do you ship any relationships when you watch a series? It was the third and final one during the credits. Yay! I can't believe you stayed! Lol. My friends were pretty annoyed that I forced them to stay haha. Lol SF's not my ultimate fav band, although it does seem like it. That's probably because they were niceee enough to play a show here in Malaysia! Along with Muse! But I'm even more obsessed dedicated to Lifehouse lol (Though I hate that LH is turning a lot more commercialized thesedays Damn you Geffen!). Believe it or not, my friend had to be hospitalized actually a few days leading to the Switchfoot concert! Talk about wrong timing! I suppose they worked their hearts out for the event and it certainly took a toll on him. I managed to greet/hug/talk/meet the guys of SF when they arrived at KLIA - I figured if I did continue pestering my friend for backstage passes, he may be hospitalized even longer lol. So I left it be. He has two jobs actually. A normal day job and he owns a music label. So fun, right? Lately I don't see too much of him though... Must rekindle for the sake of DCFC!
