zeos Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I'm a 50+ guy, and my kids (teens) pointed me to Muse a few months ago. Liked them so much that we flew the whole family cross-country to their Dec 19 LA concert. Great concert! It really showed their talent as individuals and as a group. I'm surprised I had not come across these guys before. Now when I mention Muse to folks, they check them out and get hooked too. Finally, some fresh, original, deep, quality music that doesn't sound the same track to track.
Museic Syndrome Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 So cool to hear that the older generations like the band. My parents are huge fans at 55+ and my sister and mom will be attending a concert next month. Enjoy good music!
Duk3 Fluk3m Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Glsd to hear you enjoyed it. My mum is nearly 70, and she is going to see Muse at Birmingham in April.
maturefan Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Welcome to the board! Both my children saw Muse in 2010, then the three of us saw them in 2013. My husband and I saw them earlier this year and my son and I will see them again next year. I am 55. Great music can be enjoyed by people of all ages!
Furygirl Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 In my house, I'm the one with the good music taste, while my 12 year old listens to absolute crap! Maybe she'll come around. Welcome to the Muse board!
gocanux Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 zeos, you have been Musevangelized! My husband and I are 62; we were on the barrier at LA-2 and you may have noticed some activity in the corner at the end. I took a video, as we knew Matt was going to greet our friend Catherine (the ginger) at the end, on the occasion of her 140th Muse gig! She got hugs from Matt and Dom, and totally unexpectedly Morgan came down and handed me his cabasa! He usually ducks under the stage and out, but we guess he just recognized me as a die-hard fan and gave it to me! (I first met Morgan in 2006 in LA, so he does know me.) That was a great concert! Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Once you see Muse perform live, it becomes a bit of a habit!
gocanux Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Was the sign you meant the one tweeted by Tom Kirk? If so, my friend Ellen made it! https://twitter.com/Nowherethomas

Zeos, come and join us on the Oldies thread; we need all the members we can get! We don't just talk about old people stuff as many of our oldies are actually quite young!
gocanux Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I forgot to link an old thread dealing with this topic! Maybe it's time to resurrect "Musevangelists"!! http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=14639
