bj.mort
So I was watching the drones live dvd and I was right. There are two different whammy effects used during the solo. At one point he is using an octave up setting and an octave down in another. You can see clearly when he is using the pedal that at the start of the chorus solo toe down is pitching down. Then the second half you can see when he is toe down on the pedal it is octave up. I'll admit I was wrong that he was using two octave ups at the same time but there are clearly two different whammy effects being used
rust_relic
Isn't that just the Whammy DT? Either that or the Whammy effect is changed at some point by MIDI
nerd herd
It looks like there's a MIDI cable connected to his DT in the lyric video so it seems like the setting is changed by MIDI.
Jaicen
I think he is just using the octave up. For the octave down, he plays the notes +1oct up on the fretboard and bends the whammy down, vice-versa for the up bends.
james90
the Whammy effect is changed at some point by MIDI This. Also, locking this as there's really not a purpose - use the other thread if you want to discuss plugging MIDI into your whammy.
