Campello
They started looking for the Origin of Symmetry. Then they went through the Black Holes (and revelations), specially the supermassive ones. Now, they come up with the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Any of you guys know where does this physics thing come from? As far as I know, none of the band musicians has a major in Physics or anything like that... Raiga Kagekami
Honestly, it's just Matt reading stuff and writing stuff about all these stuff.
futurellama
Physics is cool, Muse want to be cool. Simple.
Strangeseas
inb4 this turns into a tl;dr thread. I think primary Matt is into physics and stuff. It's interesting topic to write lyrics about.
Anxyous
Matt likes anything that can be interpreted as conspiracies involving multi-national corporations, Illuminati, the queen of England and the US president.
PanicStationofCydonia77
Well Matt does like to write about scientific and political ideas, and he is a believer of conspiracy theories. IMO, he likes to question an idea and put it into song.
Jobby
Matt skim-reads a book then writes lyrics about roughly what he thinks that theory is about. Simples.
darksky
Yes, Matt gets very fast into basic concepts and ideas he reads about. Like, the whole Resistance album was inspired by 1984, T2L by a report about thermodynamics, and I'm pretty sure he also had some inspirations including Symetry and Black Holes too. Or Neutron Star Collisions. Or "Stellar clouds of gas"
