strangely, before i did this, the tap tone on this one was brighter than the burst, and after, its darker. odd. we'll see if the burst tone darkens after doing the same to that

 

trying to get a decent pic of the carve on this one. its near impossible

its not even sanded yet so no paint either. its gonna have to wait till the weather warms up a bit before any painting can happen. i was just doing a test mix. might spray a little test piece over the weekend to see how it looks

 

and price wise the goldtop would run at about £1900

I think it looks great as is, I'd definitely keep it. It needs to have it to complete that gold top vibe. There's a few gold tops that had an etched cream pickguard, I think your logo would logo or some other design would look great on it! Regardless, the shape compliments the upper horn well, very smooth.

 

Also, do you know of any good books on inlay work?
