I'll keep you updated on it!
Main information:
1. They're gonna issue 7-8 videos in total for the album.
2. Official announcement of July 12th gig in Milan (S. Siro Stadium) and 20th July gig in Rome (Olympic Stadium).
3. They'll bring brass players and dancers on stage.
4. All the aforementioned videos have been directed by Dance Drake.
That's it.

It wouldn’t be the first time. They cut the bridge from Assassin, which was a reworked Rachmaninoff piece (see 2002 versions of Screenager, the piece they play before it is what became the Assassin bridge). Intriguingly, Matt often played what became the piano bridge in B&H straight after. What a difference an album makes and a bit of commercial success. I’m still astonished Collateral Damage made TR (another cover, Chopin iirc) and the operatic bridge in I Belong To You.
They made it into those songs because of self-production, IMO. With no external producer to give tips, suggestions, direction and overall input it's easy to make things like that.

at this juncture, i say we all should be pleasantly surprised if any of the remaining, yet-to-be released material is halfway decent.
expect the worst; hope for the best.
Because of the way she express herself? C'mon.

I saw it but looks fake to me. For store employee it would be suicide to leak the album after posting the photo in the social media.
Yeah, that's the great downside to this. It's not worth losing your job over a leak.
-
Someone on the above mentioned Reddit post said he contacted the Instagram user who posted it asking to leak and said “he said he’ll do it” Hold onto your butts folks. Also I have no idea how to post links from reddit here so you’ll have to just go over to check it out
The good ol' copy-n-paste, my man.
-
On a more serious note, I think whoever posted the image on their IG basically condemned themselves: there already are some people who are set on begging them to make the album leak!
-
Some stores have the album already so it's a matter of hours probably.
Don't tell me this, please... Or I'll keep refreshing the Board and the subreddit to death instead of writing my fucking MD thesis! :'(

I predict they will settle on 24 full songs during stadium tour, with at least three-four "big breather" moments for Matt (unless he starts doing goddamn cardio again).
A "sample" setlist:
1. Intro of some sort + Algorithm
2. Thought Contagion
3. Hysteria
4. The Dark Side
5. MOTP
6. Pressure
7. Panic Station
8. Jam 1
9. Propaganda
10. SMBH
11. Dig Down
12. Space Dementia (lol)
13. Jam 2
14. Starlight
15. Dead Inside
16. TIRO
17. Break It To Me
18. Reapers
19. Jam 3
20. The Void
21. Blockades
22. Stockholm Syndrome
23. Soldier's Poem
24. Something Human
25. Mercy
26. Survival
27. KOC

I don't even know what's real or not anymore.
Maybe that is the modern way.
It's because... * gasp * We live in a simulation!
I'm not real, you're not real, nobody's real1!1!

They've also been pretty harsh on every Muse album except OoS and Showbiz (7/10). They gave Abso and BHR same score as this one so doesn't really say anything.
What did they say about Break It To Me?
I don't know German, but by reading it instinctively I think it says it starts as a sort of "Arabian folk dance" and then explodes into a dubstep-like orgy of synths with guitar scratches à la Tom Morello.

Thank you.

What definition of rock do you have that wouldn't include Stockholm, Hysteria, The Small Print, TOADOA, and arguably even TIRO and SfA (as a ballad)? This is most of the album.
I think you didn't read: "...if you talk about their structures". And Stockholm is obviously the least poppy about that, and there's also Hysteria to an extent.
-
No.
In a way, yes. Most of the songs in Abso are quite "poppy" and not too crazy if you talk about their structures. The only exception on there is BAH.
"Fight Club: The Genre Discussion Thread." -
I propose a genre discussion thread.
So whenever a genre discussion pops up anywhere, we can request that the discussion be moved to that designated thread.
I'm on. How shall we call the thread?
-
Pop in 2000s yes.
Edit : except you're talking about chord progression and song structure... Then yeah, Drones is still pop.
It's exactly what I meant, yes.
But to be fair, you may argue that DI, while being pop in sound and melodies, doesn't really have a structure that's common in radio friendly music (verse/chorus/solo(!)/verse/chorus/brief breakdown/extremely long bridge/double chorus/"outro" double chorus)
-
Muse is already a pop band since absolution. I think we already get used to it.
Since Absolution, only Drones that far away from pop genre in their respective era.
Dead Inside is pop; Mercy is a pop-tinged song with big guitars, and the same goes for Revolt. Aftermath is quite pop, too.
To sum up, not even Drones steers away too much from pop, beside the sound.

was morgan part of the recording process this time?
the latest French review (lost in translation?) seems to indicate that's the case.
Morgan would really deserve to become their official fourth member.
-
I'm more than aware of that, but their "premonitions" are usually quite spot-on and they tagged the post with "potteraganda". I'm asking if anyone here knows if it could be legit Propaganda lyrics because they must have taken that from some source.
I think it's clear it's just a mock lyric line related to HP.
-
Wait, no-one's talking about the fact the band proactively brought up Shrinking Universe?
.
I actually suggested it in response to your comment about the band possibly bringing back some tracks sonically fitting for this era.
-
You know what's hilarious and ironic at the same time?
In the beginning, they didn't want to make a concept album like they already did with Drones...
And still, they ended up making another one, potentially better built and conceived by a long shot.
-
Yeah, depends if she has a full on feature part or just does some backing vocals.
Also I feel like we’re now getting to the point where descriptions start jumbling a bit to where you really have no clear picture of the song anymore. Algorithm is a scatter for me atm same with The Void, like is it low-key/spacey or is it epic w/ big vocals, pick one
I mean, it could well be that she’s just singing notes he could’ve never hit anyway? He’s still recording A4s so I doubt it’s owt to do with his age
If it's Matt, or Chris, or Dom who describes a song that way, then I'm inclined to trust them more than an external source.
-
Has this album leaked yet
Yes, in the near future. I had a vision.
Sorry I'm mourning rnHow does that review rate, or judge the album, though? Good, bad, great, awful, not-so-bad...?
-
Pls don't allow me to dream
But it's quite possible if you think about it.
Bliss is a historical staple and MOTP is somewhat in the same vein of ST sound.

Looks like some normal people (I mean, no music shop workers) have already received their album copies.
It's about to happen, boys.
