  1. No luck here. TM presale is just unbearable. Good riddance, saved some cash for Depeche Mode instead.
  2. Must have been Webster Hall? If so, I was there, also scared to the bone the floor was going to cave in.
  3. Code is visible today, they usually appear a day before the presale. Planning on attending this one, granted I get floor tickets, as I am not paying to see them from the rafters.
  4. I was afraid I was the only one on this board to have similar impressions on first listen. The length of the album has definitely helped me avoid skipping tracks, as with Drones and Simulation Theory. Their best since Absolution? I say no. Even with all its faults, Black Holes was a much more entertaining and overall better rounded album. I agree on the lyrics being repetitive, but at this point what else could they possibly talk about? I appreciate this album for being more of a kitsch-y mirror of Queen's Flash Gordon than the serious flashback to the 80's they attempted with ST. Without a question, the last three songs are the best part of the album, Verona being the real standout. I remember the radical difference in the audience's reaction from the Absolution to the Resistance tour, when they began going overboard with the orchestration. Went from people truly immersed in the music and jumping and screaming their hearts out to phones up in the air recording the screens and the laser show. Do I want a return to basic rock (i.e., first two albums)? Not necessarily. Muse shine the brightest when they go bonkers experimenting, but when it is done without a clear aim it is rather vacuous and it fizzles out soon after it is cracked open. I am going to give it a few more plays, and I hope/expect my opinion will improve.
  5. This are only the "warm-up" shows, the full tour will come later.
  6. I also tried today. I knew it was going to be a farce and I was right: wait time of over 10 minutes, during which all tickets popped up on resale sites or the same TM at inflated prices. I feel bad for the current and future fans, as they will never be able to experience bands live without forking out serious cash. Something could have been done to prevent this but it was to be expected.
  7. I wonder if they will add NYC or they simply don't have any more to sell. From what I see, the system reminds me of what they used in the past, which should have been the way to go to begin with.
  8. Sorry to hear. Maybe you will succeed on Friday. GA tickets are plentiful during regular sales. The only band I was never able to get GA tickets during regular sale was Radiohead; those you HAD to get on presale. And yes, TM blows!
  9. tickets are sold out for the USA shows, only available are for Toronto and you need a Canadian billing address to purchase.
  10. I thought all the tickets were digital to prevent scalping. That restriction makes zero sense, but thanks for clarifying. That makes my decision easier and much more simple
  11. Unlike TM, other sites release tickets in batches to prevent people from buying bulk. I am curious about the Toronto venue. It is arguably the smallest in N.A. for this tour, yet there seem to be plenty of tickets available.
  12. Or the old days when artists' marketing teams were not so lazy and figured out ways to offer presale tickets through other websites besides TM. I can say that I have attended several Muse tours that way, same for Radiohead, but nowadays it is impossible to get tickets for anything unless you resort to scalpers.
  13. There are always ways to circumvent the not transferable rule. For instance, TM will not allow you to resell your tickets (through them or StubHub) but you can transfer them to "friends" which opens a whole other way to collect money and then send them to third parties. The whole platinum seats concept is a ripoff and it works against fans.
  14. I'm happy to read that. As previously stated, Beacon only has a bad view if you're behind the soundboard or if you happen to be super short and end up on the front row of any of the upper levels. If you get there early enough, you may see the band walking in through the side door. Just sayin'...
  15. Sorry to butt in. Loge 1 is on the left center side of the area, and depending on your row you should have no issues with visibility. https://aviewfrommyseat.com/venue/Beacon+Theatre/
  16. So happy to hear fans got some tickets! I am also on upper balcony
  17. The seats are bolted to the ground, so there will be no chance of that. AND, ushers there are very strict about people standing on the side (fire hazard) or in the center hallway.
  18. Actually, I see now I will be one level up from you 🙃 but my seats are center aisle area and I am pretty tall, so I am happy with them. From pictures posted online, the view is not obstructed at all. My tickets were on the lower range, so total was $230 with fees.
  19. I was surprised that all in, fees were not as outrageous as I would have guessed. But the presale was not as smooth as for previous tours. I dislike the TM so much. It is not possible that five minutes after 10 there were about 1k people queued still, and then tickets are popping up everywhere on reselling sites. Most of the floor tickets were gone in a blink. I tried five times to grab some in the back orchestra without luck. Settled for upper loge, which are not as bad. It will be a great show!
  20. For the USA shows, you just needed to be a member prior to the announcement date. They do this so scalpers don't grab the allotment. Just go to the members section and it will show the date you joined the community, and it will have your presale code there in bold letters.
  21. Beacon Theatre does not have a GA area, it is a theater after all. It is all seated. But the venue is so small you can easily see and hear everything even if you're in the upper balcony. The only area I would avoid, especially if you're short, is behind the soundboard, which is usually placed in the rear center of the center orchestra. Someone commented that prices in Europe fluctuate between 99 and 150 Euros, so expect to pay the equivalent here, if not for the actual tickets, for all the TM fees. Good luck all my fellow USA fans. I hope we get tickets today!
  22. I believe at this point any marketing scheme by their team is valid to increase album sales. That being said, Muse are known for favoring their fans during presales, hence the cutoff date for members to get the code. What worries me more, though, is that for USA presale they are partnering with Ticketmaster. In the past, they have ran their presales successfully away from TM and that ensured all fans got the tickets. I am positive tomorrow will be total chaos, and I would not be surprised none of us gets tickets and find them immediately after on the same TM site as resales or on other ticket sites. It happened with The Smile just days ago, and it seems like a lazy practice if they truly care about circumventing scalping.
  23. Per the announcement, US people will get it 06/21 and non UK should get email or see it on their member page today. Good luck, everyone!
  24. Hello gingerkk. Based on previous presales, it is a 4 tix max for the entire tour. This code will only apply for the intimate shows, so when they announce the rest of the sale dates for the big tour, I am sure another presale code will be made available for members. I still have not received mine, but I hope by the end of the night I have. I have not seen Muse in an intimate setting since they played Curiosa and Webster Hall in NY.
  25. I've been fortunate to see Muse at very small clubs and arenas, and never really had a problem getting back to my spot in the GA, except when they toured right after the release of Absolution. It seemed like people were possessed. I am going to the NJ arena show, and honestly don't plan on lining up (because of work) or standing there too early in advance. I think an hour or so before, and I will get a good spot. But if you want to get to the barrier you should get early, especially if you are not too tall. Stage for Muse shows is always away from the barrier, and don't think they will have a catwalk this time. Good luck everyone!
