Edit: So, basically, to their credit, Muse are decent at building up a release when they can be arsed. It just hasn't felt like they have been with this one. Even now, the BTS videos don't really offer enough to actually get hyped about, other than one 'coming soon' graphic.
Tbh if this is just one song and not tied to a full release, i imagine the label wouldn't think a massive press tour or similar would be necessary. Or maybe if there is a new EP / greatest hits type deal coming, releasing this will bring more hype?

And why not? It seems pretty cool. It doesn't necessarily have to be bubblegum synthpop because of the colours or the font.
I don't think it will be, but there was a lot of posts about it being some 80s synthwave or whatever

It's not like he says they're going to utilise VR or whatever, he says "in a couple of years, I think the next big thing is going to be headsets showing visuals" etc. I would think something like that idea would be brought up in a few years by Matt and the logistics would just make such an idea impossible
