  1. Depends on the crowd and the venue I guess but in Glasgow Muse weren't on until nearly 9:30 and up until that point people were just mingling around with no fixed spots and there was loads of free space - we came in at 8:30 and still got near the front and could've been closer if we'd wanted to weave further forward but we were happy where we were. Ended up about 8 rows back without even trying.
  2. I noticed a fair few laughing too. I'd never disrespect a band, whether I like or dislike their music, but I did shove my earplugs in pretty sharpish and wait for it to be over.
  3. Yeah just referring to them as "The drummer and bassist" ... you'd think she'd be humbled that members of such a huge band would be fans of her own band and at least attempt to remember their names! Also, she just keeps saying "Muse are all about the riffs" repeatedly, as if she's never bothered to listen to any of their music at all so just has a generic line to go to. Fan or not, you'd think she'd have a listen to the music of the band she's touring with before the tour
  4. I thought they sucked... so much shrieking...
  5. I hope I wasn't the only one who really wasn't into the Marmozets either - I have no idea what all the fuss was about with people hyped about them but they couldn't get off stage fast enough for me... the only good thing about them was that they were so awful they made me that much more excited for Muse to get on stage. Personal taste but that was far too much shrieking on a Monday night for me!
  6. FYI from Glasgow last night they certainly had no bother with cameras there - people had camera phones, cameras with flashes etc ... obviously flashes annoy the other fans though so best to keep that to a minimum but there was plenty of it going on and nobody minded - was all part of the fun I don't think they'd welcome professional photography equipment though but I saw no one with that last night! Also, if our gig is anything to go by then they'll be done pretty much bang on 11pm - if anything our show ran a little late due to the support act starting half an hour late. Our setup was meant to be doors at 7pm, support on 8pm - 8:30pm and Muse 9pm - 10:30pm but it was all shunted back about 30 mins. You guys are in for an awesome time
  7. The crowd went so nuts when they started with Psycho - what an awesome way to start! Such a good crowd - it doesn't get much better
  8. Oh, my, god. I said just before we went in that I hoped they would play Bliss so when it came on and the crowd went mental I was just bouncing around BEST GIG EVER. That was an unbelievable set!!!
  9. I doubt I'll get there until 19:00 either so I won't even bother trying to rush as the queue will no doubt be huge by then anyway! Resigned to being somewhere near the back - the curse of working in Edinburgh and not finishing until 17:00 then trying to get to a gig in Glasgow hehe.
  10. Haha I need to remember to bring some earplugs - I work in audio so there's a huge box of them here in my office but no doubt I'll still manage to forget them and I'll be unfit for anything tomorrow Will be worth the ear damage.
  11. 17:11 train from Edinburgh... less than 5 hours to go... starting to freak out a bit
  12. Thanks guys! After chatting to a few folk I've been advised to take the train instead of drive due to the traffic that's likely at rush hour on Monday and also apparently parking near Barrowlands can be a bit risky unless parked in multi-storey (so I'm told). Looks like the trains run until 11pm so I'll just grab an open return and hopefully the gig finishes with time to spare for me to get back to the station (would be gutted to have to leave early)! Soooooooo excited now Can't believe it's this Monday - I thought I misread the email when it first came through!
  13. Woop - that was unexpected. I didn't even see my email until 7:15pm last night by which point all presale had sold out. Was gutted and thought there was no chance but somehow managed to fluke tickets this morning at 9:31am - I had three windows open and only one window managed to get tickets they were gone that fast! Gutted for those of you who couldn't get tickets :/ So excited for Monday though - I've been to so many big Muse tours but never to a small gig like this - no idea how to logistically get there as I work in Edinburgh and have no holiday to take off on Monday but I'll work something out! Guess I'll have to drive across straight after work - no idea where to park or anything but who the hell cares about any of that... MUSE
  14. Most of the time people stay seated, they sure did at the last Muse concert I went to thankfully. Except for the odd super popular song of course which nobody minds as long as you sit back down afterwards! To be honest I know people want to have a good time but I find it really annoying when people stand up in seats.. I pay to sit because I have a bad back and I find standing up for hours uncomfortable. To then be forced to stand up for hours with a plastic fold up seat digging into the back of your calves and some twat next to you elbowing you as he dances is really frustrating. There's not much room if you do stand up as you're wedged in between people and the tiered seats don't have much room in front before you fall over onto the person below so standing up is really not great. I've seen people fall over the back of seats into the next row on a number of occasions and as amusing as it is, the person they fall on is never that amused. The stewards have clamped down a lot on people standing up in seated areas over the last few years but it's pretty much accepted everyone will get up for the odd song and for the encore and everyone is cool with that, including the stewards.
