  1. Hopefully you'll be able to.

What other movies/shows do you mean? I've only seen Fanboys that showed that (and us Trekkies were depicted really badly :noey:...:chuckle:).

Do you mean the Star Trek movie from 2009? (That one was actually the 11th movie of the franchise, I think.) Or do you mean you're interested in watching the TV show(s)?

    Thanks! Yes I am. You?

Is it not playing anymore where you are?

    I know, me too. :D

  2. Yeah, I agree (with you, I mean, not the theory :p). I think the conspiracy theorists are kind of twisting everything to suit the theory... mind control? :chuckle:

I know Dom said he was pretty drunk. Oh Matt. :chuckle:

I noticed that! Probably was just being shy.

Thanks, I really need it! I just can't study right now. (more like don't feel like it :$...) :chuckle:

Oh no, are they as you feared them to be? That sucks, if they are.

  3. Me neither, but that's what people are saying. I think they were mentioning some things about bunnies and butterflies, which both have to do with mind control... don't actually understand what it's all about! It sounds pretty far-fetched. I'll look it up...

*searches* http://vigilantcitizen.com/?p=6223 is one page I found. :p

Oh my, what was with Matt? That was such a funny interview! Matt! I've never seen him like that!

Nothing much... I've got a huge Calculus test tomorrow, and of course instead of studying... :p

What about for you? How are you?

  4. Will you go to it regardless? Going to the Superbowl final would be an amazing experience! :awesome:

I like Star Wars too. Star Wars and Star Trek fans generally don't like each other (don't know if you've ever seen Fanboys, about Star Wars fans? Then you'll know what I'm talking about) but I'm one of the Trekkies who does really like both!

I know physics and math aren't for everyone :p. I don't know many people who like actually like physics, but I do! ;)

Same here. I've got a huge test tomorrow and what am I doing now? :chuckle:

When you do we can discuss it. There's a lot of symbolism and stuff, and some people are talking about how the movie is actually about mind control and MK Ultra!

Don't know if I believe that, but... again - what if? :D

  5. Hopefully! Same with the BC Lions - they've come so close these last few years...

This year the Grey Cup final will be played in Vancouver, in the new stadium! :awesome: If the Lions make it to the final it'll be crazy!

Yay for a fellow nerd! I am too, in so many ways :chuckle:. Not so much to do with history, though. I'm more the sciencey type... outer space, physics and math, and Star Trek... :chuckle:

The UK set fire to Washington DC as well, right? And Canada was a British colony at the time... so we're even ;).

Aww, it sounds like you're busy! I know everyone at my school who has to work on musicals is really busy. It's good that you enjoy it, though.

Still have to see that movie! I saw Black Swan about a week ago, fantastic movie. Have you seen it?

  6. I know, I was really lucky to get a hold of them!

I see, nice that you have Rams season tickets! I share season tickets with my brother.

Aww, I know that feeling. Painful :(. So close, yet so far away...

I don't know that much American history, just bits from school - really just the parts that had to do with Canada or Britain... of course we learnt a lot more about Canadian history. :sleepy:

Thanks for asking, I'm very well! Life's a bit busy, but a good kind of busy. How are you?

Have you seen any good movies lately? :awesome:

  7. Haha, maybe... :chuckle:

That's awesome, I've only been to one Canucks game, I had front row seats! I even saw myself on TV, briefly. Yeah, they are way better live.

What about Jets games? Do you have seasons tickets?

Aww... but their time will come, I'm sure!

I do like Canada . Although there are a lot of things about the States that I find are pretty cool, I mean just look at your one dollar bill! Our money, on the other hand, has pictures of caribou, maple leafs, and beavers on it :chuckle:. Not nearly as interesting, I think...

Haha, yeah exactly! I wonder where.

That would be too bad. :yesey: Hopefully that won't happen.

  8. Really! I listened to lots of Led Zeppelin, thanks to my dad. Whenever I heard their song "Black Dog", I used to think it was a woman singing :$ But I must point out that I was very small at the time. :chuckle:

I agree, I like hockey more than basketball. Have you ever been to a hockey game?

Didn't know that. That's pretty cool, how the Jets were the first!

Yeah, it makes Canada feel really small, population-wise... I mean the entire population of Canada is equal to Tokyo's.

Wow, lots of people! I've watched a few college games on tv, I've always been amazed at how many people were in the stands.

    Oh, no problem!

Good to have two teams to cheer for ;), if one doesn't do well, you can count on the other.

  9. Yeah, they probably have a lot of CDs, then.

I think hockey in Canada is football to the States, then. Interesting, though, that the Grey Cup has been around longer than the Superbowl...

 78,000 people??? Our stadiums aren't even that big! I bet college games in the States get more fans than a CFL game does!

Oh, thanks! I don't really have an NFL team to cheer for, I'll pay attention to the Jets ;).

I don't watch much baseball - it's not too big in western Canada. Who would you be cheering for?

    :chuckle:

  10. Aww, no! :(

Vancouver has had an indoor football stadium since the 80's, hope this new stadium is a huge improvement. It's replacing the one that the 2010 Olympics Opening/Closing Ceremonies were held in.

Pretty popular... not as popular as hockey (although more people go to football games), but provinces like Manitoba and Saskatchewan who have no NHL teams have only CFL teams, so I think it's really big there. Especially in Saskatchewan.

About how many people go to Jets games? Lions games get an average of, maybe, 30,000, which is pretty big for the CFL...

I see. I'm just a little more than a casual Canucks fan. :p I'm much more into football! :awesome:

(Good thing we're not two really serious crazy hockey fans, or things might get ugly when our teams play against each other! :chuckle:) (Just kidding :D)

  11. Je pense que c'etait la realite aussi.

Mais je connais une autre personne qui pense que quelq'un a (performed inception to...? No idea how to say that!) Dom Cobb... peut-etre?

Nous parlons des choses compliquees! :chuckle:

Pas de soucis, je te comprends!

  12. I understand, though! Maybe it's just that CDs are tangible, you can read the album booklet...

    Yep! :yesey:

All of those are great! Same here, I don't know nearly enough about them as I do Muse. Actually that's the same with all my other bands. Muse are really the only band I... obsess over... :chuckle:

    And embarassing, for them.

Yeah, it is a really nice city. I'm excited that we're getting a new stadium to watch football games in, with a retractable roof and stuff! I've never been to St. Louis, are you also a hockey fan? For the Blues?

  13. Yeah, she probably did stab Beth - I highly doubt Beth would've just started doing that to herself. Also, why did she have that knife in the first place? Haha, indeed, lots to discuss! :yesey:

There are also people talking about how Black Swan could have something to do with MK Ultra/mind control... :p

My thoughts exactly on the mom and her art room. She was scary how overbearing she was, and when she was crying while painting all those pictures, it was creepy...

Thanks :awesome:, I hadn't seen that one before! There are so many interviews from just after the Grammys...

  14.

At least that means you're more honest when it comes to where you got your music. I also think that having something on CD is better than getting it online, I don't really know what it is about it...

I see. :chuckle: I don't really like them either.

Same with my brother! He absolutely hates Muse, and even thinks Dom's name is annoying :noey:... he doesn't listen to anything that isn't Asian music, unless it's Led Zeppelin. It doesn't make sense! :noey:

Cool, you like RATM and SOAD! Although I do agree with you, I can't listen to them too much at once... haha yeah, because of the angriness, I guess :p. Favourite songs/albums from them?

Yeah, and also people run into it while going for a touchdown! Believe it or not, it has happened.

Abbotsford, although I live in Vancouver now.

:chuckle: Yeah, it's pretty bad if you don't make the playoffs. :noey:

  15. Hmmm... j'ai remarque que tu aimais le film <<Inception>>... a la fin, est-ce que c'etait la realite ou non? ;)

  16. I've done the same before too :chuckle:. I also registered on the main muse site, thinking it was for the forums and then spent a LOT of time trying to figure out why my password wasn't working!

Lucky! :p There are so many things like singles that are hard to get...

Yeah, my brother and I don't exactly see eye to eye on music.

Oh, that's good! I was thinking about some bands... maybe Dispatch (same singer as State Radio, apparently) or 311? Haven't actually heard either of their music, but with 311 the album artwork and name for "Don't Tread on Me" caught my attention - I mean it's got the eye of providence on it! Also System of a Down, and Rage Against the Machine, you probably know them already.

Yeah, field goal posts are at the front of the end zone. I think being at the back would be better, sometimes the QB throws a ball for a touchdown and it hits the uprights instead.

Calgary does have a team, the Stampeders. Their colour is red, so if you remember seeing a lot of fans wearing red...

Yes, it's the equivalent, although there are a lot less teams in the CFL than the NFL! There are only 8 teams, and 6 of the 8 teams make it into the playoffs!

  17. Aww that's not fair. :noey:

There was so much symbolism! Like the reoccurences of mirrors showing the darker/Black Swan side of her, and then the mirror shattering near the end when she "stabs" Lily representing how her darker side breaks out and she becomes the black swan... also how the director calls her "my little princess", finally, and the last person he called that was Beth. It linked the characters of Nina and Beth together, who Nina had always looked up to/wanted to be (perfect). They had both played the Swan Queen, and had both become the Black Swan...

Haven't seen The Wrestler, yet! I want to see it, one of these days...

Never noticed that while watching, but that's very interesting...

Haha, don't worry, I already have as well! :chuckle: I could probably go on too :p... Like how her room is pink/childish and her safe haven, but even that becomes unsafe for her, and (*okay I've really got to stop*)

Yeah :chuckle:, though was he even there? I also wonder what Chris would've said had he got the chance...

    No problem

  18. I think I've got over 120 songs by them on my ipod :chuckle: - acoustic, instrumental, live, album versions...

Haha, don't worry that's not fanboyish compared to my brother... he loves korean and japanese cheesy love songs, and he's obssessed about both the boybands and the girl groups! :chuckle:

Yes, I do like them! Listening to Camilo right now . Thanks for the suggestion, I love getting new bands! I will have to think of something for you :p...

Pretty similar, the play clock is only 20 seconds in the CFL (40 seconds or something in the NFL?), the field dimensions are different, the footballs are bigger, only 3 downs, our refs are worse... that's what I can think of right now. Do you remember who you watched?

Aww, I know that feeling. My BC Lions should've been in last years Grey Cup too.

  19. :awesome:

I've got a lot of songs like that, ones I really should listen to more...

Same here! I've grown to appreciate it more as well. At first I didn't like the songs as nearly as much as I do now. Like the Exogenesis Symphony... first time I heard part one I had no idea what he was saying! It was a little hard to listen to, but then I just listened to it more and now it's one of my favourites :yesey:. The theory behind it is pretty cool - not so much a conspiracy theory, as the fringes of accepted science...

I rambled a bit about just one song :p... better stop now or I'll never stop :chuckle:...

Yeah, I've heard so much good things said about them. (I better not start talking about them as well!)

No, but you've got me interested. I'm going to search them up right now ;)...

I love football too! Although I don't really watch the NFL, I watch the CFL - but I do really love football. I'm a BC Lions fan. What did you think of the Superbowl?

  20. Yeah, Uprising is a great song. I'm actually listening to it right now! :D

Same story for me, except that it was my cousin, and the first song I heard was Apocalypse Please (which has always been in my top 5) :awesome:

I love how they can combine prog, metal, classical, alternative, etc into such a unique sound... every song sounds different and the lyrics actually have meaning/are thought-provoking!

And I love the band members themselves. ;)

Yeah, I also like how they're anti-authoritarian (also one of the reasons I like RATM).

I'm guessing you like football as well?

  21. *sneak in*

Could you please tell me where your sig is from? Love it! :awesome:

  22. Yeah, same here, a lot of them are pretty iffy.

How did you first get into Muse?

  23. Hmmm :shifty:...

Kind of related to the NWO: I've always wondered about all the masonry signs on the american $1 bill... all the reoccurences of the number 13, 32, the word "mason", etc... you've probably heard about all of those though :p

  24. Haha, that's pretty much the same story for me! :D

(Only difference is that I'm still in french classes :shifty:... but they're not helping my french *sigh*) :chuckle:

But I'd love to keep it up too. ;)

  25. Un peu... j'etudie le français à l'école, et je voudrais practiquer aussi! :awesome:

Don't worry, I'm not that good either :chuckle:
