  1. :chuckle:

What's your favourite of Muse's conspiracy theories? Or non-Muse related...

  2. Yeah dark side is more fun :chuckle:

It was a great film, and I cringed at some parts too. Natalie's deserves the Oscar.

What do you think she means at the end, when she's bleeding and she says "it was perfect"? Throughout the whole movie she represented the swan queen, and in Swan Lake the swan queen kills herself... so did she kill herself/die at the end? Hard to explain, sorry!

Same here, I pretty much never watch the Grammys, but I had to make an exception this year. ;)

Yeah, I didn't like them either, would've been better without them. I loved the visuals too. :awesome: I went crazy when they won. :chuckle:

Aww sucks when that happens, I get stuck in that situation quite a bit. Hope you have a good group!

  3. Yay for a fellow conspiracy theories enthusiast! :D

(if that's what were called... you know what I mean ;))

  4. Yay to a fellow Canadian! :awesome:

Thanks for the friend request, by the way

You also made the qui parle en francais thread, right?

  5. Yeah, it was pretty frustrating at times, although at least I had the satisfaction of figuring things out by myself.

It was really cool, the graphics were pretty funny, looking back at them. :chuckle:

Exactly! I loved being on the dark side, I got a lot of items and stuff from the civilians :shifty:...

When I faced the final guy in the dark side storyline, it glitched and my enemy was just walking into a wall the whole time. :chuckle:

Saw Black Swan last night, fantastic movie :awesome:. Your thoughts on the ending?

This weekend I've been studying, doing homework... I am going to watch the Grammys tomorrow, though, Muse are supposed to perform within the first hour.

    What about your weekend?

  6. No, don't think so.

Yeah. I'd love to play them again... I never finished the marine storyline on AVP 2, I got stuck in a room!

I don't remember the specific storyline... you play as someone whose father leaves you his lightsabre, and then it's about your path as a jedi. What you do decides on whether you'll be on the dark or light side of the force (eg. the more civilians you kill, the more dark you become). Eventually the game splits into two storylines, one in the dark side and the other in the light, and you have to kill this guy in the end. Your motivations for doing so also depend on what path you chose.

I ramble :chuckle:, hope that made some sense!

  7. Hopefully!

You're right, I just checked and I've got AVP 2.

I've never played the original. :p

    :chuckle: That's awesome!

    Yeah, somehow...

Another great older game is Star Wars: Jedi Knight Dark Forces II from '97, which was fantastic :awesome:.

  8. Really? That would be pretty cool :D, you never see that these days.

Aww no, the AVP films... :chuckle:

Reminds me of an old (but awesome) computer game I've got - you can choose to be a predator, alien, or marine. In the alien storyline, you start out as a facehugger... it's pretty intense!

Yeah, hopefully it'll redeem the franchise. Maybe Sigourney Weaver will make a cameo... somehow.

  9. I found his account, but you're right, it probably will...

Drama and thriller are great genres. :awesome:

Didn't know about it, but I'll probably go see it. Yeah, not sure what to expect.

Isn't there an Alien prequel coming as well?

  10. I think you should, he's said in the past he wants suggestions. I don't remember his account though.

Yeah, I love my movies! :awesome: Other than horror movies, what kind of movies do you like?

(... can't remember if I already asked you that! Sorry :$)

  11. Yeah, I've seen all of Takeabow19's. The TV spoofs are my favourite.

Haha, yay for a fellow movie geek! :chuckle:

  12. Yes! Dom could be Dom.... Hoodoo playing in the background... someone's got to do it. :chuckle:

I have seen some great Muse/movie spoofs on youtube. :awesome:

I didn't watch it either, except for the last minute of it, just to see who won.

    Haven't seen that...

  13. Hmm interesting theory, haven't heard that one. I wonder who.

(For a split second I thought you were talking about another Dom we know )

Hoodoo came first, is all I can say :chuckle:

Did you watch the Super Bowl?

  14. Yes, you should see it. :yesey:

    Oh, okay! :p

    Reality. You?

I think the movie ended that way just to tease us...

Haha, I was listening to Hoodoo the day after I saw the movie, and the lyrics go: "...regress into a dream, we will hide, build a new reality..." and "how did it come to be, tied to a railroad..." and I kept thinking Inception!

  15. Thanks, they are challenging...

Yeah, everything about it was great! I want to see it again. :p

Not necessarily easter eggs, but maybe if someone says something that seemed enigmatic at first, but then you get it the second time you watch it? I don't know :p. I'm guessing you didn't notice anything different?

I saw Inception over the weekend, again. :awesome:

  16. Yeah, I wish I was getting paid for it :chuckle:...

    Physics and calculus.

    Aww, no! :(

Yeah, they were fantastic! I'm seeing the King's Speech tonight.

If you watched V again, you would probably notice things that you missed the first time... it was a very thought provoking movie.

  17. Haha, I meant schoolwork :chuckle:. And lots of it.

    I don't have a job.

Any luck with the job hunting?

    Lucky! :p

I saw V For Vendetta (for the first time) and Toy Story 3. :awesome:

  18. Sounds like you had another nice weekend! :D

    Mine was all work :sleepy:...

    Seen any good movies lately?

  19. Any plans for this weekend?

Thanks, I presented it today. Little bit of trouble pronouncing some of the names! :chuckle:

  20. Aww, that's too bad when a great book has a bad movie version.

Always nice to have a lazy weekend!

I'm guilty of that quite often. :chuckle:

Actually I spent my whole weekend working on a project about Aztec mythology. Very interesting, but it's taking a while, I'm still not done.

  21. Thanks, I hope you enjoy reading 1984 too :D

Haven't heard of those books except for The Kite Runner, which was fantastic. I haven't seen the movie yet...

    How's your weekend going?

  22. Dan Brown's books about Robert Langdon were all good, although if you don't really like mystery/thrillers :erm:...

... they do have riddles and codes in them, which is why I enjoyed them.

1984 is a classic :awesome:. It's very interesting and thought provoking. I would recommend it :yesey:.

Very tempting :chuckle:... if it's only a hundred pages long, though, I'll read that next!

Any other books that you've enjoyed?

  23. I played it so much that I was able to memorize all the character dialogue .

I see. Did you ever read Dan Brown's other books?

Actually I just finished The Lost Symbol, now I'm reading 1984 :D (not influenced by Muse in any way to start reading it :chuckle:...)

I want to know what they discovered now! :p

  24. I died sooo many times :chuckle:.

    No problem :D

The Lost Symbol is the newest book by Dan Brown featuring Robert Langdon from The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons... it's kind of hard to explain (sorry!) if you've never read those books. The book is set in Washington, D.C. and it's of the crime/mystery/thriller genre, centring around the freemasons...

Haha, actually haven't heard of your book either, what's it about?

  25. Yeah, Star Fox is great, except that I don't remember being able to save my game - you have to beat it all in one go :p...

    :yesey:

    Hopefully it'll... get better? ;)

    Good luck!

Haven't read that before, right now I'm reading The Lost Symbol.
