  1. Well Veil definitely got protecting, overbearingly so.

What's that? I can't hear you over our console exclusive gaaames.:p

Well, color me surprised that the villain was that good. A concern that I have is that I found Wild Dog and Curtis extremely irritating in the Invasion crossover event and I don't know if I would be able to put with them for an entire season. If you think about it, this season of The Flash had three evil speedsters, Black Flash, that random one from the beginning of the season (who's name I can't remember and I don't want to bother looking up his name) and Savitar. It is getting very tiresome.

  2.

I'm still trying to figure out why Veil decided to save Quinn's life.

The location change was definitely a benefit to the show. Yeah, I'm a Waldo fanboy.:phu:

    Awesome, have fun watching it!

I would do it except my friends dislike playing games on their PCs. The PC master race hasn't assimilated us yet.:chuckle: That's one of the reasons why I will never get rid of my N64.

I'll admit that I rolled my eyes when I first saw Prometheus since I thought they were rehashing an evil archer villain from season one but I'm glad to hear that I'm wrong. Woah, even better than Slade? Well, I'll be damned. The writing on The Flash has declined greatly, they need to step up for next season. And they need to change it up from "mysterious speedster with a twist identity" cliche.

  3. The Obi Wan/Anakin fight still rocks. Yeah, I was surprised by how affecting Order 66 still was. Order 66 hits far harder than anything in Rogue One. Shame, since you could see Rogue One had some potential but it wasted it. They must have known that you were coming, they foresaw it with the Force. :p

I knew that the moment Veil handed Henry to Sunny that she was screwed and it was a bit annoying to have her go out like that. She truly deserved better after what she went through.

So that Widow/Tilda was freaking awesome right? Fav fight from the second season with others such as the rematch against the Abbots. They delivered fantastic fights in the second season. Oh and I don't know where the abrupt snow came from but it was gorgeous.:facemelt: Wish they could make an entire season with a snow environment. Probably wouldn't be cost and time efficient but dammit it would be gorgeous. I also loved the little moments between Waldo and Tilda this season as well. Nick Frost was a fantastic addition to the show, surprised with the depth that his character had.

One thing that I'm cautious about next season is that its going to grow from 10 episodes to 16 episodes. The second season was perfectly paced and I'm hoping they don't drag out episodes next season.

Have not played it at all but I have seen some footage that makes it look extremely fun. The recent Friday the 13th game is similar in gameplay. However, the F13 game is unintentionally hilarious in how buggy it is.:chuckle:

So I've heard that the season finale of Arrow was amazing. And that Slade was completely redeemed from that season 3 appearance. Might watch season five later this summer since I'm hearing great things about it. Oh and don't get me started on the villain twist in The Flash.:noey:

  4. Episode III does share some of the flaws of the prequels but its pros far outweigh its cons. Have you rewatched it yet? Jar Jar will never not be annoying. Yeah, Georgie went overboard a bit with the dialogue and stiff acting.:noey: That reminds me of Rogue Squadron that I used to play on N64. I played that game endlessly, it was so fun.

I really like Tilda as well and the Widow as well. Quinn is despicable but I find it hard to dislike him since nobody delivers speeches quite like he does.:chuckle: Really impressed with the world-building aspect of the second season.

Ah I see, good luck on it. My friends are pressuring me into buying a PS4. I'm contemplating buying one since Dead by Daylight is coming to PS4/Xbox in June.

  5. The marathon actually reaffirmed my love for Episode III. I know its not a popular opinion but its just so grandiose, thrilling and gorgeous to look at. Yeah, I love it.

So how far along are you in Into The Badlands? I'm loving the second season and its ending on Sunday. It flew by so quickly and the budget increase really helped the show immensely. Who are your other fav characters? Waldo is a bamf. Only Korean films that I've seen are Train to Busan, The Wailing, The Host and Snowpiercer. I've enjoyed all of them. Right now I'm in the middle of The Good, The Bad and The Weird. Fun comedy action romp.

How far along are you in your thesis? Or are you taking a mini break from school related stuff so that your head doesn't implode? :p

  6. Thanks and same to you! :awesome: Star Wars marathon is on the tv all weekend long.

Noice! Glad to hear that you started watching it. Sunny is a BAMF, amirite or amirite? Started watching Korean films recently and they're pretty damn awesome.

Thanks! I don't currently have any specific plans for summer planned. You? Well, I actually got to watch Free Fire the other week in an empty screening room. It Comes at Night looks fantastic, I'm very excited for it. I think I only read Captain Underpants once or twice when I was kid. You'll probably enjoy it more since you've read them.

  7. I've never got around to watching that show. Based on what I have seen from the previews, it looks like Robert Carlyle is having a blast hamming it up on that show.

And the actual Muse discussion that do take place here are kinda redundant. I can imagine that its easy to get lost in Reddit. Ah I can see where you're coming from, I was lurking the other forum for years too.:ninja:

Congrats! :awesome: I still have a few weeks of school left. It ends on the week of May 19th and I already how I'm going to celebrating. Its the same week that Alien Covenant comes out so I'm going to watch it decked out in my Weyland-Yutani T-shirt.

  8. No rush about it though, they ain't never leaving Netflix.

Yeah, I've seen some clips and Ryuk looked pretty bad. The over-the-top elements must make it a very entertaining show.:chuckle:

I saw the miniseries once when I was young and I thought it was simultaneously dull and creepy. Have to say, that Pennywise is far from creepy nowadays and more hilarious. I mean, look at this..

    :chuckle:

The main reason that I'm enjoying it over there is that there are far more movie and tv threads on there. Also, there are far more members and its mainly a positive environment. I never go on Reddit since I don't like the layout of the messages. :$ I prefer good ol' fashioned forum formats. Six years?? Its been that long huh?

    Thanks, same to you!

  9. Fair enough, the decoding itself did look very interesting.

Daredevil S1 is good, Jessica Jones is fantastic, Daredevil S2 for the first half with Punisher is great but the second half is below average. Still haven't seen Luke Cage yet.

The "whitewashing" in this film doesn't bother me either. I've heard that fans hate the Japanese live action films. I'm hoping that Dafoe is a mixture of both CGI and makeup. That has to be one of the "anime" esque scenes I've ever seen. No idea what's going on in that clip but it was funny.

Also, at least this film looks better than the live action Fullmetal Alchemist film. Look it up if you dare.:noey:

Oh nice, are you enjoying it so far? And have you seen the miniseries yet? /20 Questions

:ninja: So, I've jumped ship from this forum to a far more active one and I'm really liking it.:ninja: It's just so dead here. I mainly only come here to check music updates in the Other Music section.

  10.

I'll agree that Jeremy Renner could have had more to do in the film. However, I do think that he does serve his purpose in the journey of Amy Adams character.

They probably did all of that in a montage in order to be time efficient.

The soldiers were probably acting out of fear and wanted to eliminate the threat that they viewed as dangerous before it eliminated them, from their pov. Also, they showed the rogue soldiers talking to their families and their well beings helped push onto that path.

Haha yeah, it's a fun show. Curious about checking Iron Fist but I've heard from numerous people that its pretty dull.

I think we have talked about this before. I'm just excited for it because of the director and judging from the trailer, it does look like a Wingard film. And I have seen numerous people talking about it negatively because of the "whitewashing". Glad to hear that you're also excited for it. If there were to be one thing that would make me nervous, it would be that he's not working with Simon Barrett(screenwriter for his other films) on this film. Nevertheless, I am still looking forward it and I will be able to watch in the comfort of my home without annoying moviegoers. Then again, moviegoers around me this year have been extremely tame.:chuckle: Also, if it does turn out to be bad, you'll at least have William Dafoe chewing scenery as Ryuk.

Also, the trailer for the new adaption of IT looks fantastic. Well, except for the silly last thirty seconds. Even then, I am still very optimistic about it. It looks far better and more faithful than the dull 90s miniseries. Going to finally read the book over the summer before it comes out.

  11. I'm a bit tired at the moment so I'll discuss Arrival spoilers at a later time.:$

I've never heard of the Holistic Detective Agency show, I'll look into it. Wait, is season 4 the current one playing on tv? Did you enjoy season 3 of the show? I've actually recently started watching another GOT-esque show. It's a show called Into The Badlands and it's a post apocalyptic fantasy kung fu show and I'm really enjoying it. I wish I could give a better description of it but oh well. The second season recently started and I quickly binged the entire six episodes first season. It reminds me of GOT in terms of shakey alliances, double crosses and stuff like that. That's nothing to be ashamed of, looks like a fun show.:p

    Thanks! :awesome:

  12. Fair enough, what were the things that you did not understand? I really enjoyed it and think that it improves on a second viewing. I procrastinated on watching Moonlight last year.:$ It was playing at the local indie theater for a month and I never went. I have heard a huge amount of hype for it though. I also saw the Oscar incident on live tv and that was quite funny. I recently saw "I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore" on Netflix. Long title aside, it was a really fun dark comedy.

I have seen Under The Red Hood and it is fantastic. Well, Batman beats up the Red Hood.:p

Seeing Avenged Sevenfold live in July. :awesome:

  13. Happy to hear that you're excited for the sequel. Judging by the money that its making, its not going to go anywhere anytime soon. Oh yeah, the action is just as exciting in the second one. However, the one minor nitpick that I have is that the first one has a far better music selection but that's just a minor complaint. You should have waited to have seen whether the dog survived or not.:noey::p

Thoughts on Arrival? Just curious. I also saw The Lego Batman Movie and I really enjoyed it. The third act got a tad too hectic though.

Ah okay, well at least now I know. have you seen the film version of Flashpoint? Its the best animated DC films in the last couple of years.

  14.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Yeah, her being a puppy made it so much worse but at least you were prepared. But it does give the film the emotional drive that it needs.

The scene with Jimmy was hilarious and this film does have some black comedy in it. You'll be pleased to see who returns in the sequel. I wish Perkins had survived to be a recurring villain in the series, her fight scene with John was great.

The action was staged perfectly and Keanu is a beast for how old he is. Hopefully the third one is the last one so he doesn't have to keep doing this when hes 60.

I could reveal whether the dog survives the second one. Oh and I loved the second film.

No problem and its good to hear that it went well. If I were to get Litten I would probably call it Brock Lesnar.:chuckle:

Oh, I didn't know about Julian being Alchemy was from the comics.:$ I've lost my superhero geek card.

  15. Ended up getting a new laptop so it's good now.

Same here and I'm also excited for the Lego Batman film.:awesome:

Good luck on the midterm, don't sweat it. Hows Litten so far? I always go with Water starters. Its only a matter of time before you run into that fabulous creature. Also, lost my password on Poke Showdown so I'm now called PrehistoricDogzz.

Yeah, the twists and revelations this season haven't done much for me, such as Julian being Dr Alchemy and Iris being in peril being one of the main driving points. Not watching any weekly shows atm but I am excited for Legion and The Americans.

  16. Alright I'm back, well sort of.

I do have to say that once you get past that dog scene in John Wick, it is a very fun and stylish film with some black comedy sprinkled in. I still love the nightclub scene, it's so well done.

School started this week for me and yeah I've been messing around with teams while at work. How has school been for you? I think I've finally made a perfect Gen 2 team. I've been 10-2 the last couple of matches. However, I have not been registering a specific name so the points are going to waste. My other Gen 3 team is awesome too.

I am hoping that now that Black Mirror is on Netflix that they will make new episodes sooner but I don't want Charlie Brooker to run out of ideas too quickly.

I have to confess that I am giving up on The Flash. The characters are still great but the storylines are so bland and predictable that I am having trouble staying interested.:$:

  17. Quickie message since mah laptop broke (:noey:)so ill be mia for a few days. John wick is very fun but i recommend skipping the house invasion scene because of a dog-related scene.

  18. Speaking of action movies, I am very excited for John Wick 2 in a few weeks.:facemelt:

Nah, I think that was Tentacruel. I don't think I've ever used Slaking against you. We could battle again since school is probably going to start up again.

Yeah, I can understand that. Not to mention that I have no knowledge of the books.

Metal Gear is life, Metal Gear is reason.:p

I mean I understand why she was acting selfishly but she still didn't take into account how Kelly felt.

I know it was predictable but I really enjoyed the scene where Michael Kelly the truth about the roaches.

I agree about the ending of Hated in the Nation going on too long. It would have ended the episode on a more effective tone. Despite that, they really did a good job on a plot that could have easily been silly (robo-bees). Thinking about it, that is a horrifying way to die.:noey:

Now to wait probably two more years for more episodes.

Are you in the third season now?

  19.

Also agree with what you're saying about the message becoming unimportant all of a sudden.

Yeah, K2SO's deadpan delivery could be viewed as tiresome but I didn't mind that much since the other characters were so dull. The blind monk and his friend were alright but I do wish that their death scenes had carried more emotional weight. I'm a self-proclaimed action fan and I've never seen IP Man.:shifty:

I also forgot to mention one of the most bothersome scenes in the film and that was the tentacle scene. It was jarring and silly that it took me out of the film.

Nah, it's Gen 3 and it's so-so now. I've made a decent team after experimenting around and I have to say Choice Band Slaking is a beast if used correctly.

My friend is actually trying to get me into watching Game of Thrones but I have to admit that the number of episodes is quite daunting.

I'm actually one of the few people on here who loves Nosedive. Yeah, it doesn't do much with its themes but I had a blast watching it. I'm a sucker for black comedies and road trips filled with wacky misadventures. I would try to stay true to myself or I think I would. Who knows, maybe in five years when that becomes our reality.:chuckle:

Playtest was actually my least favorite of the new season.:shifty: I thought it was bland and boring. I could tell where it was going and the over-acting wasn't doing it any favors. I will admit that I did feel sorry for the guy and he really should not have turned on his phone. Throughout the episode, I kept thinking of the CEO as an evil Hideo Kojima, not sure if you know him.

It's a toss up between Shut Up and Hated for my favorite of the new season. It was a properly bleak episode and delivered everything that I wanted from a Black Mirror episode, including the twist at the end. I don't know, back in my younger years I may have gotten a virus or two from doing the same thing. It happens when you're young alright.:phu:

Yeah I agree with you on San Junipero. Not to mention that it takes quite a while to get going. Even though I didn't love this episode, I have to admit that the scene when she sees Yorkie in real life was really well done. They really should have delved deeper into the philosophical aspects of it. It also bugged me how Kelly eventually went back to Yorkie in the end. She honestly had no reason to. Yorkie insulted her dead husband and gave Kelly no reason to stay behind it.

Shame on you.:noey: Men Against Fire was predictable but I really liked the way it was handled. The execution helped it's predictable plot. Hated in the Nation is an interesting procedural that eventually hits in you the gut so be prepared.

    So for me it's

Shut Up and Dance/Hated in the Nation

    Nosedive

    San Junipero

    Men Against Fire

    Playtest

I've actually heard that the second season of The 100 is fantastic stuff and that it overcome it's corniness rather quickly. Glad to hear that you're enjoying it.

  20.

-As fun as the Vader scene was, it did feel like fan service that was tacked on. And boy, did this movie have a lot of fan service in it.

-I will praise some of the action but only to a certain extent. The final battle had some good sequences Gareth Edwards showed off his sense of scale when the AT-ATs first showed up. Despite that, I was not connected to the characters so the battle was not as affecting as it could have been. However, the city battle in Non-Tatooine had horrific editing. I found it difficult to tell what was happening in that city battle. Also, they need to stop doing faux-Tatooine planets, give us something different.

-The biggest flaw that I had was that Krennic was an extremely weak villain. He actually gives Joker from Suicide Squad a run for his money. He accomplished nothing in the film and is nothing more than a minor inconvenience at the end of the film.

-Since you brought up Saw, I do have to agree he was way too over the top. I actually found it hard to take it seriously. For a film that was trying to be gritty, I found it a bit silly.

-I did not mind Vader's quips in the film since he was a bit sassy in the original trilogy as well. Also, you have to admit that was a nice pun.:p

-I fully agree about the main cast of characters being extremely forgettable and boring. Have to admit, that I found K-2SO to be my fav character by the third act since everyone else was dull as dish water.

-You mentioned lazy scenes and I have one in particular that annoys me. The rebellion betrays and basically uses Jyn to kill her father(and almost her as well) and then a few hours later she's giving a rousing speech to the same rebellion. She completely forgets about what the rebellion did to her a few hours earlier.

-I did not mind the lack of a Star Wars crawl since it was trying to be its own thing, for better or worse.

I'll think of more later. There's bound to be some grammatical errors in there due to the rambling.:chuckle:

Been experimenting with different teams on Pokemon Showdown and I still keep getting wrecked.:noey:

The other day there was a binge marathon for the new show Search Party that I started watching halfway through and I ended up loving it.

  21. Haven't had time to reply yet but I will this week, at some point, I think. Rogue One has been getting worse the more that I think about it.

    Happy New Year!

    tumblr_oj1bziGAmu1rrkahjo10_400.gif

  22. Merry Christmas!!! :xmas::awesome:

    Hope it was fun.

    Congrats on the grade/mark!

She would never let it go if you were say it huh?:chuckle: And yes, I have seen Rogue One now and it was decent. Full spoiler disclosure when you see it.

  23. I couldn't do that since it would only make me anxious.:chuckle:

Yeah, pretty much. I've managed to stay clear of Red Wedding spoilers which I am very proud of.

Probably spend it with the family and not much else. This year we decided to do a Christmas with a Charlie Brown Xmas tree and have to admit that the tree has got an endearing charm about it. I have not had a chance to catch Rogue One yet but hopefully I will have seen by the end of the weekend. Have not seen Fantastic Beasts either. Have you seen that film?

  24. That is way too soon.:noey: The grades should be posted sometime this week but I am going to wait until after Christmas to check them. Mainly since I like seeing all of my grades at once.

I bet that Joe Gilgun is great in it. Yeah, haven't seen it either but oddly enough I do know of his character. I've kinda spoiled some of his scenes for myself on youtube because of the things that I had heard.

  25. Yeah! I'm finally free of school...well at least for a month now. No problem and at least you weren't alone on that. When do you guys get your grades for that?

Everybody in Vancouver is Mary Poppins then with their umbrellas.:p

Haven't seen Misfits but I've always heard about it. How far into it are you? I'm especially familiar with this gif from that show.:chuckle:
