  1. Whatever.:phu:

Hopefully they will be and thanks! Good luck on yours as well. Sixty percent is a bit excessive isn't it? Nah, you should go harder on them, make them sweat a bit.:p

Ah, so that's autumn in Vancouver. You might have as well have bought rain boots.:chuckle:

  2. Wait?! You guys have The Force Awakens on Netflix? That's not fair.:phu: Finals are next week and I'm optimistic about them.

Edit:I just saw you guys also have the LOTR trilogy and all of the seasons of the Legend Of Korra. That's not fair.:noey:

Doing well in most of my classes except for one that's a bit worrisome. Have you graded the finals of the other students yet?

That's great to hear! Hey, do whatever you like. Snowforts do look like a lot of work though. It's perma-cloudly/slightly muggy with rain every once in a while. So yeah, not sure what that counts as in Canada.

  3. What are some of the exclusive things on the Canadian Netflix? I'm managing to find some extra time to watch movies before finals in a few weeks.

Ah, yeah I can see why you would choose that version. Hey, that's why it's fun playing with them right now on Showdown before they get banned. Alonan Dugtrio is real and absolutely fabulous.

  4. Had no idea that the Netflix selection varied by country. I always thought that it was the same everywhere. Recently seen The Boxtrolls(good but not the best Laika film), Hush(fun small budget home invasion film), and Sing Street(energetic and fun first half but surprisingly boring in the second half). Looking forward to watching Housebound since i've heard that it's an over-the-top horror comedy and that sounds right up my alley.

The only Supergirl episode that I've seen was the Flash crossover and that always extremely cheesy. Don't get me wrong, I loved it but it was so cheesy.:chuckle: I do have to admit that I am pretty excited about the four show crossover event, looks really fun and I'm geeking out at the prospect of them meeting Supergirl.

I still don't have a 3DS so I probably won't get it. Have you gotten it? I have been playing with the new Pokemon on random Showdown battles while at work and they're interesting to say the least. They've added some ridiculously OP moves and Pokemon in the game. I also never tire of seeing Alolan Dugtrio, it always gets a laugh out of me. I'm gonna make a team just so that I can have Alolan Dugtrio on it.:chuckle: When winter break comes next month, me and my Alolan Dugtrio shall beat you.:awesome:

  5. Somehow is the key word in there.:p

I was actually doing homework while it was happening and kept checking it every few minutes. I keep hearing from people that they voted for him because they think that he's going to improve the economy and bring back jobs, which I doubt. Not to mention that there's a large majority that despise Hilary for various reasons, some that I can't agree with. Sad thing that voting turnout for young people was down in the election and a few of my friends chose not to vote either. I keep hearing that too, that the country will be recreated after this debacle, but I don't know if I want to wait that long. I'm not necessarily worried for myself but other groups in the US. Then again, if The Simpsons can predict Trump's presidency, then maybe The Boondocks is right about Oprah in 2020?

So sorry to hear that but understandable. You're right, at least she lived a happy life with you for those years. Just focus on the happy memories you had with her.

Been binging on random films on Netflix since ever since I subscribed to it last month for Black Mirror. So much goodness on there.

  6. Thanks and I hope school is going great for you too!

Can't get enough of him yelling at poor saps huh? :p I'm still going to stick it since it's a short season. Nice to hear that I'm not the only one.:chuckle:

    SheriffBell.gif

Yeah, it's been pretty bad. I had a glimmer of hope yesterday that Hilary might could have had a comeback but yeah, Trump won. It's still shocking to me that they voted in someone who's never a position in politics before and now he's going to be running our country for the next few years. I can only hope that he gets impeached from his position, but then again the VP isn't any better. One main thing is that I'm worried about the Muslims and minorities in the US in the next few years and whether or not they're going to face more discrimination now. Trump's campaign was built on xenophobia, fear and racism and now that he's won his views are justified. We've already a huge increase in racism this year and it might get worse. I don't blame for wanting to jump ship to another country.

Sorry, just had to rant a bit there.:$ Oh and the Canadian immigration site crashed from the amount of people viewing it.:p

  7. Thanks! Happy Halloween to you too! You spent the whole day at school as Squirrel Girl? Nice! Not to mention to that you got to walk around with lil' ones dressed up. It was a fun halloween for me too, even though I didn't do much.

Welp, at least you have a while to prepare for the headache of those finals. I've looked up the fight clip and I'm not a fan of it either. :shifty: I can understand her defeating Dean but not Castiel. Glad to see French Mistake, Changing Channels way up there in the ratings. Shame about the ratings for the spinoff episode. Also, season seven was pretty bad in the ratings too.

I know a couple of people who love those type of shows, including cooking competitions and I still can't get into them.:chuckle: The food looks delicious though. I've caught up on Westworld and have to say that it peaked with the premiere episode. The themes and ideas are by far the best thing about it but the actual writing and directing are a bit bland. A lot of people are saying that they cried in the San Junipero episode of Black Mirror but I didn't. Guess I'm a cold hearted person.:chuckle:

It's surprisingly simple to defeat Snorlax after testing out different methods. I also have a new tank in place and it's super strong if the strategy works out. Suicune has been getting on my nerves lately and it's so hard to get rid of it because of Roar.

  8. When do the finals take place? I've heard about people complaining that Dean and Cas lost in a fight to the British lady. Yeah, I skimmed at stuff involving the season premiere. :shifty: Geez, I never knew that the ratings for the season finale was that bad. :chuckle:

Had no idea that Hell's Kitchen was still on. I haven't had time to catch up on Westworld since the second episode. Nice to hear that The Office ended great. Did you tear up?

Nah, I'm good but not great at random battles. Then again, I am undefeated against you in random battles. One good thing about random battles is that I'm learning some great strategies to incorporate my teams. For example, I've learned of a full-proof way of defeating Snorlax and I'm no longer afraid of it. Suicunes and Skarmorys on the other hand are still annoying with their Rests and Whirlwinds. I am having somewhat success with my Gen 3 teams after learning some cheap strategies. Oh and I hate Tyranitars.

  9. Hot damn, that's almost like working full time. So they smushed it all together it at once huh? Sucks to hear that. You'll be able pull through it, no worries. Did they do well on their midterms or did you just shake your head? I'm saving Supernatural for next summer when it's all done to do it at once. And to read which ones are filler(:shifty:). Still haven't see the new episodes of The Flash either. Funny thing is that I'm hearing that the new season of Arrow is far better than the new season of The Flash.

However, I am watching the new Black Mirror.:awesome: Have only seen the first three episodes so far. Two of them are definitely visually different from the previous Black Mirror episodes which threw me off a bit. Nosedive and Shut Up And Dance are far better than Playtest imo. Playtest's twist was a bit easy to see from a distance and the main character was a tad annoying. Shut Up And Dance is by far the bleakest of them all.

Nah, haven't done the ladder yet. I tried out some teams/strategies in Double OU for a while and had little success. One of my strategies was a pure Fire team which turned out alright. However, Rock Slide just annihilates it. Had some new Gen 3 teams and I keep losing in them. Despite that, I am winning most of the time in Random Battles and it's pretty fun. I took out a Lugia with a Ledian once and yes I am proud of that.

  10. You should look up the Slowpoke Song if you're in the mood for a treat.:chuckle:

Nah, you can do far better than Skarmory. It's alright, no worries. We've each got stuff to deal with, mainly schoolwork, and it's okay. I've been busy creating teams, hoping that they're good enough to beat your teams.:p I've made a Gen 3 little cup team, Gen 2 little cup and two new Gen 3 teams. Yeah, I've surprisingly had a lot of time to create teams.:$ And most shockingly of all, there's no Snorlax or Skarmory on my two new Gen 3 teams.

  11. Posted a reply on my own page.

All hail Slowpoke. Assimilation is inevitable.

    WnIiTPe.gif

Yeah, it looks a fun thing to do. Surprised that no one else had try that. I could suggest Slowpoke but that would be overdoing the joke.:chuckle:

  12. Oh I know that you have Skarmory on all your teams.:p Had no idea that there was a giant Pikachu statue over there. Have you seen this?

Happy Thankgiving! Now that's some fine craftsmanship. Honestly have no idea how I would start carving that since I don't have any artistic skill.

  13. Yo get on Poke Showdown.

  14. Yeah, the giant halloween head is really hard to find.:noey:

Whenever I get a Pokemon in random battles that knows Toxic Spikes, I spam the hell out of that move. Not that familiar with Klefki but that sounds like an extremely annoying combination.:chuckle: Oh, I know about Baton Pass doing all of that, people love doing that with Ninjask's Speed Boost and Sword Dance. One of my favorite combos in my Gen 2/3 teams is Umbreon with Mean Look and Baton Pass. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Also have a Ludicolo that has Rain Dish ability with Rain Dance, Leech Seed and Giga Drain so it's basically a rage inducing tank. One of my biggest peeves in Gen2/3 battling is people that have a Skarmory that knows Whirlwind. Takes forever to kill it.:noey: Oh, I know that it's incredibly deep and thoughtful. I saw on Youtube the other day that there's national championships for the TCG which surprised me. Didn't think that anyone played TCG still and I never caught on to those.

  15. Have to admit that I'm having trouble telling if that's a real person or a doll in that machine. This is actually what I'm trying to do this year. Looks simple enough to do, just need to find the materials. The hardest one by far is the giant pumpkin head prop, not sure where to find one locally. Your town needs to get visited by the spirit of Halloween.

Yeah, I'm enjoying this far more than Pokemon Go. The battling aspect always interested me more than catching them. Really surprised that Pokemon Showdown hasn't taken off in popularity. I've been learning about Gen VI in the random battles with random teams. Toxic Spikes is such an overpowered move.:chuckle: Ah, that makes sense of why I haven't run into legendaries with the exception of Zapdos and Celebi. So far, I've been doing really well in Generation 2. However, in Gen 3 battles I'm being destroyed.:chuckle: People have some really clever strategies with abilities in Gen 3 that overwhelm my team and I keep trying to improve my team to no avail. There was one battle in which a Cacturne swept my entire team. My name is PrehistoricDogz and I'm occasionally on there, preferably in the evenings.

  16. I did it! :awesome: Or I think I did.

I'm looking forward to sprucing up the front yard with Halloween decorations. I've never done cheap DIY Halloween decoration before and I'm interested in trying some of them out this year. It'll probably go up in flames.:chuckle: No Halloween spirit at your school? What kind of school is that?:noey: That's cool that you made a Squirrel Girl costume, that's a fun one. Just looked up some of the pranks and they're hilarious. Future Dwight warning Dwight about the coffee was my favorite.

Yeah, I'm loving Pokemon Showdown. So far I only have Gen 2 and Gen 3 teams. It's really fun in that there's no level grinding involved and you can teach any move to any Pokemon that you want. I'm undefeated with my Gen 2 team so far. I've messing around with my Gen 3 team so I haven't been as successful with them. Wobbuffet is a tank if someone knows how to use him correctly. The powerhouse of my teams so far has been Snorlax. I'm going to test my luck with other Gen 2 battles and see how it goes. I'm surprised that I've only run into one legendary (Zapdos) so far.I'll battle you one day, when we're both online which is extremely rare.:p A funny joke that I keep hearing about the new Doom is that it actually has an interesting story but the main character doesn't give a damn about it.

  17. No rush about it. Same here with school work and I've been procrastinating on a paper due in a few days.:noey:

Maybe go in expecting something that sticks close to the original. I've actually forgotten about the Exorcist premiering on Fox.:$ Still haven't seen American Horror Story out which is strange since I'm a fan of horror anthologies. Also, that reminds that it's almost that special time of the year.:awesome: How are you enjoying The Office? Have the characters changed in good or bad ways? Yeah, I've read that some of the additions make the film more of a slog to get through. Only way to find out how bad the original cut is.:p

I've been seeing the trailers of Sun and Moon and it looks like they're revamping some things about Pokemon. It's going to be interesting seeing the public's reaction to those additions. Pokemon showdown looks really fun, I had no idea about it. Thanks for telling me about it. Maybe I'll face you on there some day.:p Talking about games, I'm still unimpressed about what I've seen about Resident Evil 7. They're bringing back the "horror" element but it seems to copying PT and Outlast more than old school RE.

  18. Wait, are you talking about Atlanta or Black Mirror?

I've been thinking about Blair Witch for almost a week now and it keeps getting more disappointing the more that I dwell on it. There was some fun moments and ideas but they decided to play it safe. Maybe you would like it more than I did. Man, your friend probably wouldn't have been able to handle the ending of it.:p You watched the Ultimate Cut? What did you think of it?

Yeah, don't overwhelm the art students with that science mumbo jumbo.

It's a rumor that I keep hearing about them expanding in the upcoming months. I haven't heard about people quitting their jobs and yet I'm not surprised. My friends keep recommending Omega to me but I still have time to decide since I don't have a 3DS yet. I'll maybe get both X and Ruby. You could probably beat me since my knowledge of Pokemon is only until Gen 3. Those new abilities and items could wreck me. Nah, I don't go for the perfect EVs since it's too much effort.

  19. Hey, it's a damn good show.:phu:

Horror has been kicking ass this year. That reminds this upcoming Friday it's going to be Blair Witch time.:awesome:

I have not seen BVS yet and I doubt that the Ultimate Cut will add much to the film. Then again, I haven't seen them so I can't say much yet. .Pretty sure we've talked about MOS before. I was in my post-screening high of watching and was actually defending it against you.:chuckle: Can't be bothered to look it up though. However, I will admit that my opinion of it has gone down on repeat viewings. It still has some entertainment value such as Michael Shannon's yelling through the majority of it.

Thanks! Oh boy, I can only imagine how overwhelming physics classes can be. Congrats and go easy on the students. Hey, to be fair they're art students.:p Those answers are pretty bad though.

Exactly! The one thing that i really didn't like about Pokemon Go is having to recapture Pokemon that you already had to make them evolve. That part of the game got tedious rather quickly. The battling isn't that great. I can only wonder if it can maintain it's popularity until the release of the second generation. Oh and also I think it's incredibly dumb the lengths that people have gone to capture Pokemon. I've seen things on the internet of people sneaking into backyards, abandoning their cars and even falling off cliffs for Pokemon. Darwin awards are being handed out to these people. A friend is trying to get me into Omega Ruby but I don't have a 3DS yet. You're lucky too since I would probably beat you in a match.:phu:

    No problem, you're welcome.

  20. YES! :yesey: Can't wait for more of those morbidly dark sci fi tales.

There are rumors that they're going to go down a James Cameron route for season 2. I'm guessing an Aliens style season. Hasn't been confirmed yet. I've actually been hooked on another show now. Atlanta was on the other night while I was busy doing stuff and I ended up really enjoying it. Really well written dramedy that delves into social issues.

It's actually shorter than other years, I've been slacking.:$ Not to mention that June were and July were barren with interesting looking films(ST Beyond being the exception). Still need to catch up on some films on DVD such as Midnight Special, Hail Caesar, Jungle Book and BVS(mainly due to curiosity).

The original trinity of the show.:yesey: Surprised that I haven't been spoiled about the Leonard thing yet. Yeah, I'm back in school and it's been surprisingly easy so far. Most of the teachers have been extremely laid back this semester so far which is surprising. How about you? Was it fun? Tempted to make a Canadian education joke but not sure how to make one.

Have you also tried your hand at Pokemon Go? I tried getting into it but I got bored of it. Sooooo...I've resorted to playing my old Pokemon Leafgreen and Ruby versions on my gameboy while at work.

  21. Oh yeah, I'm excited for Flash, Luke Cage, Ash Vs. Evil Dead and most importantly, new episodes of Black Mirror.:awesome:

Best Eggos product placement ever. I want to see Eleven return as well but it needs to be a smart way. Not have her randomly showing up again. I hadn't thought about that, about that there might be ten other kids with special powers. Pretty sure that those kids would have been found during the investigation at the end of the season though. IKR! How did they not notice that he has worms inside of him when they checked him over? I'm suspecting that Will now has the ability to go through the dimensions and that they're gonna use that in the second season. Will probably doesn't want to worry his mom about the whole worm puking thing.

Haven't seen it yet and I've probably missed my chance to see it on the big screen. Hoping that it comes to DVD by December to add it to my end of year list. It's serious business.:shifty:

Awesome to hear that all of you guys loved it. I've already been spoiled with the solution to defeating the bad guy and it sounds extremely cheesy.:chuckle: How much screen time did Bones get? Yeah, I keep hearing that the characters and their chemistry was the one of the film's strengths. I was hoping that they would do add something for Anton and Leonard at the end.

  22. I'd take it that you wouldn't mind having Curtis replace Felicity on the show? Hey, those pep-talks can do wonders.:p I applaud your effort in continuing to watch Arrow.:chuckle: It can't get any worse right? Man, the CW Superman looks so awkward. Maybe he'll look better in action but at the moment he just looks so awkward. Overall, I wouldn't recommend watching Legends but I did enjoy some aspects of it.

Shame that show wasn't picked by HBO where they could go as crazy as they wanted.

I actually kinda loved it. Stranger Things picked up immensely in the second half and I ended up really enjoying it. It has numerous homages to the 80s but uses them effectively to elevate the story. Dustin was by far my favorite character of the show and he had so many great lines.

Like when Dustin was talking to his teacher about creating a sensory deprivation tank in the middle of the night. It was farfetched for the teacher to explain that to him but I was having too much fun to care at that moment. All of the boys had fun moments that they got to shine in, such as Lucas last stand against the monster. Another one of my favorite moments was Nancy walking through Joyce's wrecked house and trying to take it all in.:chuckle: Nancy did grow a bit on me by the end and I really enjoyed their standoff against the monster in the house. I also really enjoyed Eleven's journey in the show about discovering about herself, including her gender. I had a feeling that she wasn't going to make it by the end of the season but it was sad seeing her go. I also noticed that Mike/Nancy's father remained distant throughout the show. I was hoping to see him get worked up about what was happening but he remained the same throughout. Him and the mother were pretty much stereotypes that never changed that and it was one thing that I didn't like. Especially when so many others were so well written. Not sure what this says about me but I chuckled whenever they randomly showed Barb's corpse in the upside down.:$ I did find Brenner's death scene to be underwhelming, especially after that he put Eleven through. I have no doubt that she will return next season. Oh and the Chief was awesome. I'm probably forgetting a lot of things but I'll remember tomorrow. Just barely finished it.

Have you seen that you can make your own Stranger Things gifs?

    https://strangergif.com/

    dc0b97f2-2339-4e08-a5ff-69b886a09de6.gif

  23. That's a shame that Felicity always saves the day. Is her black sidekick useful or not? Yeah, I've already seen the final fight in all of it's horrible glory.:noey: These men were trained by the League of Shadows and that's the best that they can muster up? However, I hadn't seen the scene where Oliver encourages people to give him their hope. I wasn't sure of what to expect but it was worse than I imagined. Reminds me of DBZ when Goku receives energy for his spirit bomb./DBZ lingo. So Felicity murdered 10,000 people huh? And I'm guessing it's swept under the rug? Are you going to watch the fifth season? I think you should so you can keep ranting.:p

I also watched Legends of Tomorrow for a while but I gave up on it. It has so many plot holes and time paradoxes that I'm surprised that the Arrow universe hasn't rebooted numerous times already. However, I will say that Sarah, Stein and Captain Cold were by far the best reasons to watch the show.

I don't think he would be able to send them to Jamaica since it's not religious themed. I'm assuming that Jesse's power can only send people to Heaven or Hell. I'm glad that he wasn't really God since that would have angered numerous Christians and AMC would have faced their wrath.:chuckle:

Here's a list of disturbing things about the comic that will never(probably) never be seen on TV, including Quincannon.

    http://www.comicbookmovie.com/preacher/preacher-8-of-the-most-fcked-up-moments-from-the-comic-thatll-never-make-a141526

I agree that the family dynamic isn't interesting at all since they're so stereotypical, especially with the father. Despite that, I'm still going to watch it for the five main characters and see where it goes. I'm also baffled by the Barb fanbase. She wasn't that interesting of a character. I'm guessing that people are relating to her but still she wasn't that well of a developed character.

It was disappointing but there were some good things such as Viola Davis, Will Smith and Jay Hernandez giving good performances. However, the third act was bad and it gets worse the more that I think about it.

  24.

    giphy.gif

So that's their idea of suspense huh? It wasn't that bad at the beginning but it just kept getting worse and worse. That's also my reaction to their smaller budget recreation of the TDKR climatic fight. They keep stealing ideas from Batman. I know I've mentioned it already but the fight choreography really went down after skimming through season four footage. Also, Diggle's helmet looks even worse than I imagined. It is a shame that the show runners have decided to pander to the Olicity crowd and man has it had on the show and fans. The thing is that Felicity used to a really fun character and it's a shame that they ruined her. I loved her in the first two seasons.

Go ahead and rant on the plot points. I heard there was something involved with nukes.:p

I LOVED the motel fight with the angels and Jesse. It was so silly and over the top. I was surprised at Miles death as well. I was also really shocked when Eugene got sent to hell and I'm hoping that they rescue him. Not sure why they couldn't just steal blood bags for him. I was a bit sad that the town got blown up since I grew attached to some of the characters such as Emily and more importantly, the random mascot. Shame that he killed himself along with the Indian mascot. Thoughts on the whole "God" scene? I thought it was really well done. Yeah, I'm guessing that the Cowboy can kill angels permanently. Quincannon is actually far more disturbing in the comics and they were pretty tame with him in the TV show. Oh and the No Rain cover in the finale was :awesome:.

So I'm two episodes into Stranger Things and I'm underwhelmed to say the least. I mean it's got good writing, acting, cinematography and directing but it's not spectacular. I haven't been blown away. Maybe it's because I hyped myself too much for it but yeah. The boring teenage romance isn't doing the show any favors. The "Should I stay or go scene" was really on the nose as well. I'm still going to watch it to figure out the mystery.

Suicide Squad was ehhh. It was alright but it's not something that I'm going to seek out again. Suicide Squad should have really been far more smaller in scale. The villains that they face in the third act are far out of their league. The Joker should have crossed paths with the Squad and that could have been a better film. A better idea would have been Amanda Waller sending them on an undisclosed mission to attain something and crossing paths with Deathstroke. Just those ideas would have been better. It did not need to be that big in scale. There was no sense of camaraderie between the Squad members either. Oh and you can tell that it was hacked away by the studio because of the editing in the film. Oh boy, the editing.

  25. Oh I gave up on Arrow halfway during season 3. It was such a drop in quality compared to the first two seasons. Not to mention that it looked inferior in comparison to the far better first season of The Flash that was airing during that time. The third season and the fourth episode(the bits that I saw) really made me appreciate the two seasons. The first season is messy but it had better action and choreography compared to the fourth season. It's a shame since I really liked the second season. Slade Wilson was one of the reasons I enjoyed it and they watered him down in the third season. Oh and don't get me started on how they treated Laurel. She was a lot more fun in the few Flash appearances she made. The fifth season trailer did nothing for me either.

...Well that was longer than I expected.:chuckle: I could go on still about the problems I have with it.:shifty:

Yeah, it takes place in the 80s and they take advantage of it. Not to mention that the 80s soundtrack gets better with each season. That's pretty cool that those guys already recognize you. You should wear this costume while spying on the Lucifer crew. It's very inconspicuous.

Glad to hear that you're enjoying. Episode five huh? You're in for a treat in the opening of episode six. Thinking about it, I have to say that all of the episode openings of Preacher were really well done. I'm not alone in thinking that Jesse is the least interesting one out of the trio? I mean I still like the guy but I find Tulip and Cassidy to be far more interesting. Have to say that Eugene is one of the best things of the show as well, excellent performance by the actor. The angels are pretty mysterious but you'll see soon enough.:p Oh and keep an eye on that mysterious cowboy as well.

Hopefully the DCEU lasts enough for his Batman film to get made. I'm finally going to experience Suicide Squad this week and I'm not too sure what to expect.:chuckle: Pleasantly surprised that Deadpool is my favorite comic book film of the year so far.
