  1. Dropping the song bothered me less than the deliberate choice of doing so and the lack of replacement. I wouldn't mind shuffling Plug In Baby around. I was in the lawn, but at the front of that. There were fans around me that knew most if not all the songs, but only one was actually energetic. I thanked him personally after the show.
  2. I still enjoy what they're playing even if it's too short. I don't like the stance that seems to be your enjoyment of the band is wrong if you didn't see them in the golden years. I'm about to complain about the band but still these past couple of shows I've seen got me a lot more into them after the two Drones shows, which is a pretty big feat. I guess I'll add my own experience to compare from the US since that's what this thread started about. Never seen Bliss, Reapers, Assassin, or AP. Reading was the first time I saw Stockholm in 6 years (and again at Shoreline so it counts). I have not seen MOTP in 6 years. And the Unsustainable Tour, like all stadium tours, was European only. Sunburn was brought over for a little bit, but Blackout and Unintended were not. Hell, Take A Bow was a staple in the Resistance Stadium Tour but Shoreline was the first time it was played here in a decade. Even common songs like Plug In Baby were actually dropped for like 4 months in the US (and only the US) during The 2nd Law tour. They didn't even replace it with anything, you just got one less song if you were American for some unexplained reason.
  3. I wouldn't have paid much attention to someone playing Muse songs in their car with the prospect of having to wait over an hour just to leave the parking lot, which is what I had to do.
  4. It took me a while to get into Ruled By Secrecy just because I couldn't even hear the damn song if I was outdoors.
  5. Well then I guess it's settled. The US crowd, as a whole, does not show any widespread care until Madness anymore. A few individuals can't make up for thousands. European crowds are another world entirely.
  6. This was kind of my second chance to them after Oakland so I'm pretty pleased. I don't need an SBE gig I just want something with energy (that just usually implies rarer songs). I was getting second hand embarrassment from NKOK so I started posting here. The audience just kind of lightly chuckled but were really confused.
  7. I'd also call this a decent set, not just by US standards. Just needs more songs and less jams. The song choices themselves were fair.
  8. It was a fluke or I was in a lucky spot.
  9. It sounded pretty good. I've never been to a concert at Shoreline and said that.
  10. The most well rounded set I've seen them play in a while. Take a Bow in the middle was really odd but it cut the "dull run" that went from SMBH to TIRO in half.
  11. If they played Butterflies and left I'd still enjoy it more than Oakland.
  12. "I thought the president then was bad" before TaB. No lasers. No streamers for Mercy.
  13. Butterflies, Stockholm with Freedom after IS so far. New Kind playing now.
  14. Don't care how the crowd compares to other nights. This was the best Muse show I've been to even after just Psycho. It was never about the rarity of the songs for me i just want energy and the crowd did their part enough and the band reflected it more than I've ever seen. People that are complaining a bit don't know how good they have it. I wasn't even up close and people knew most of the songs. The guy next to me mouthed the lyrics to Showbiz. We just looked at each other and smiled. And fuck, this is the first time in 7 years I've been in a circle pit at a Muse show.
  15. Damn it looks like iPlayer knows I'm on a VPN. I'm not on good internet right now to get the torrent so I'll have to wait.
  16. Also if you're going to credit me for making them a pop act please also credit me for successfully campaigning #GuidingLightforItaly that's way more important.
  17. Find someone who embraces you the way Matt did to Brian.
  18. I've been to plenty of crowds that are between statues and crushing hordes so I can say I'd rather have neither.
  19. I would too, but also Assassin was a promise so I wouldn't expect that to be regular. And with that it's not a very powerful set.
