Yeah, I believe the only moment he actually used the tremolo bar during Hysteria is during the solo, which I actually quite liked.

Ah ok. Not sure how using a tremolo bar would make playing the riff easier though.

Not necessarily changed. It's more that he times the bend-part of the riff (that repeats the whole time) a bit different and overall plays it a bit less smooth than the original. I agree it does sound a bit lazy.
Also I think he should add a bit more gain to his guitar tone to really get that fat distortion like on the record. But that's just my personal taste.
edit: oh just saw Witz already responded.
Also I don't think he ever played that riff live using a whammy (assuming you mean the pedal).

I think Clunge meant a Whammy bar, not a Whammy pedal. So for example at Live 8 gig I believe he uses it.

Really? I think this one's great, but maybe that's because of all the energy they had, seemed like they really went for it. The same with that gig's KoC.
I agree 2004's falsetto's were better but I don't think this one is bad at all. At least not as wonky (?) as a lot of the post-BH&R performances.

From a beginners point of view the hammer on/pull off parts may be a bit tricky but other than that it's nothing major I suppose. It's just about having some speed in your fingers.
