  1. Seeing covers showcase more of the creative side of Musers, this thread has been moved from Kit and Tab and given a new home here in Creativity.

This thread is for Muse and Non-Muse covers, audio, video or MIDI files. If you want a link to all your YouTube or Soundcloud covers added to this post, send a private message to james90, Matthijs, or any other moderator and we'll add you to the list.

Work on here can be freely used to create more complete covers (i.e. downloading drums and adding guitar, or adding vocals). If you wish for your file not to be reused, you must specify otherwise it is assumed you allow it.

This topic should be used for discussing people's work, offering constructive criticism and for planning collaborations - basically anything that is on the topic of Muse or Non-Muse covers.

Please note that all off topic posts in this thread will be deleted/edited to ensure this thread doesn't become full of spam, this is nothing personal.

  2. It might have partly been that the media haven't really been giving him much coverage, other than in an I hate John Key capacity, as well.

That being said, I went to the Labour party caucus thing the other year and Jim Anderton chided them for their whole anti-National, as opposed to pro-Labour, stance.

That just seems to be what politics is these days though in NZ. Someone proposes a new law and you've instantly got someone on an opposing party slagging off the idea. And yeah, I know the media aren't exactly the greatest source to trust in terms of getting the whole story, but they're all I've got! :chuckle:

Does anyone else have issues with the referendum though? Like, the way it's advertised, it sounds like even if you want to keep MMP you're forced to vote for an alternative. I tried to find out more about that online, but all that happened is I learnt a bunch about said alternatives. Nor can I navigate the igovt site. Maybe this is just due to my untechyness though.

Yeah, I had a problem with that. I want to keep MMP and will be voting it. However as for voting for an alternative, I don't feel a need to make it look like I possibly support another system because I don't :erm:

  3. Phil Goff honestly does nothing to make me like him more. Every time National introduces a policy that doesn't need much said about it, he always has something negative to say. How does that help at all?! Saying it's bad for New Zealanders with nothing to back it up other than a few general statements does not really say anything other than "I'm clinging at straws to make people dislike National".

Eugh. No wonder Labour are understandably going to get absolutely destroyed this election.

  4. I like how much research you've put into this :chuckle: but I thought you were rather anti-national?

There was a flyer that the National guy sent out and I said to dad that the guy looked kind of dodgy... Dad said he's quite an alright guy so that's why :p the Labour reps here always have sucked. I am anti-National but when it comes to local I vote for the more deserving person :yesey: I'm anti-Labour right now too since I can't stand Phil Goff :(

Never thought I'd say it, but I wish Helen was here :'(

  5. Just regarding the youth rate thing, it's stupid because of the backlash it'll end up having on older people. Some young workers are simply better (more energy etc.) and if they're cheaper to keep on, then of course the better, cheap young workers are going to get more hours over the average, expensive old workers.

Le sigh. I know there's more to it than that but this is why I hate politics.

  6. Budget thoughts anyone? I think its a bit wankerish to take away course related costs to part time students and living costs to 55+. Goes against the principle of making education accessible to everyone.

To be honest, it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. Sure, I haven't read into it much, but it seems like they've actually thought a lot of things through to try and get this country out of the hole we're in economically. That education thing is a bit silly though... At least they didn't change student loans too much though for the general population.

However, Kiwisaver is still something I think should be overhauled altogether if it's really destroying our country that much. That 'headstart' incentive is so pointless for someone my age and anyone who's under about 40. What's $1000 going to be worth to me in 50 years when I retire?! It's obviously costing the government a fair bit, cut it! I never liked the scheme though so I'm a bit biased for that reason.

  7. So it's my big party tomorrow. A bit nervous! The problem with being the host is your priority is making sure all the guests have a good time, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to properly relax and celebrate.

Or throw a party as if you were in The Sims, tell everyone else to bring the food while you're asleep in bed :awesome:

  8. I don't particularly care for Rodney Hide, but if Don Brash tries to bring back interest on student loans, I'mma protest in the streets.

As previously stated, I'll only ever pay the minimum needed, and if that barely covers my interest, then so it shall be
