Is it wrong that I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of shorter, acoustic version of Starlight, a bit like what they did with Unintended on the Unsustainable Tour? I mean, just to freshen it up a bit, since (as much as I love it) they've just been doing the same devolving version for 10 years.
Him picking up the guitar and singing the whole song himself would be enough for me to freshen it up, although it was an extremely boring version on the Drones tour I thought prelude was actually a really cool intro for it
-
A pretty cool setlist, especially if you were there, although by the time isolated system starts there's pretty much no point to refresh setlist.fm lol
-
Ooh, also for what it's worth it looked like the whoever met Matt last night filmed him kind of secretly, it looked like he didn't even know he was on camera, although that might not make it any less invasive or creepy lol.. It's just nice to see straight up what they say as opposed to word of mouth sometimes
-
Wait so was it just coincidence that the fans started chanting Assassin the show it was on the setlist but got removed, or did they somehow know it was supposed to be played?

I'm guessing they'd think it'd be too easy to carry this stage design over to the next tour cycle? It wouldn't bother me at all lol, Ill welcome a simple stage plot with an end stage with open arms

As the great Ian Malcolm put it, "When ya gotta go, you gotta go"
-
Lol did they really have to get both of the winning songs out of the way that early and In a row? Idk, maybe I'm just grasping for something to hate on at this point *shrugs*
-
Regarding Resistance, at the show in Philly the crowd went pretty crazy for it, I was personally hoping for UD in that slot lol:rolleyes: although I scanned the crowd when Motp was playing and saw a decent amount of people singing along which kind of restored my faith.. I just assumed I was surrounded by Post resistance fans the whole show

Nothing wrong at all with Spiral Static.
Wasn't implying there was anything wrong with it..lol I was Just genuinely surprised
-
Lol Elle's favorite song is really spiral static??
-
No write-in option? I'm gonna have to go with Futurism then
-
I'm just worried that by the time their next regular tour rolls around in the U.S. That their idea of throwing the "hardcore" fans a bone is to play Plug in Baby
-
Lets get Twin on the poll for them to play, I wonder if they even remember they made that song at this point lol
-
I think it's always gonna be hard sufficiently covering the US on a really small tour though unfortunately, which something like this would be. Maybe spread it out a bit more so that it's one on each coast and then two in between? My US geography ain't great so I won't even begin to suggest states
We're all thinking about this way too much or I am, at least
In a perfect world, they would pick NYC and Philadelphia so i drive 15 minutes to a philly show and take the train an hour to NYC, considering i could even get tickets. I'd say NYC would be a definite though if they did East coast, even though this is never going to happen lol
-
In fairness this is like saying two in Dublin, two in Moscow and saying it's fair for European fans.
I'd be shocked if they even took the rarities tour to even one show in the U.S. lol, hell I'll be shocked if they even do a rarities tour in general. I could see Matt seeing this thread and thinking oh god what did I get myself into lol
-
This has probably been asked and answered, but is there a reason Warner goes after videos of B&H on YouTube and not any of the other songs?
-
I really wish Matt would just google "Muse setlist *insert city*" as he's writing them so he could remember what they got last time to give them something new this time.
It takes 30 seconds."Oh they got Map last time? Well here's Bliss/CE"
That would be super convenient wouldn't it?
-
Question, at what point does a rarity stop being a rarity for an area that has had it consistently on every tour? People were acting like MotP was some big thing because it showed up on this tour in Las Vegas (where it has been played in 2007/2010/2013/2016)
Yeah for real, when it popped back up on the U.S. Leg this year everyone was like OMGSS MAP, I've seen it 4 out of 5 shows. If you would've told me 3 years ago that my next Muse show the big "rarity" we'd get would be MotP I would've probably said fuck off lol
-
Lol just saw some video on Instagram of Matt meeting fans and he asks one "any requests?" And the girl goes new born?? And matts response is "ohhhh noo not that one" lol what was he hoping she'd ask for, hysteria??
Edit: although rewatching the video, I didn't catch the first time due to matts 150 mph speech he says after "we'll definitely play some old ones though" lol plug in baby or bliss?

That's what I used Madness for at the O2 gig. Though that might have partly been down to the dodgy Subway eaten on the way to London.
Nice, were you at night 2 for the O2 T2L? I think once the beer starting kicking in I used Isolated System for my 2nd pee break, Falling Down piano for the win though 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I agree completely about The Handler, I said the same thing. I like the song but to me it doesn't need to be played at their bigger more "commercial" shows like Glasto and the Eiffel Tower gig. Play an old favorite like New born or something that the crowd will have a bigger reaction to

FG >>> Explorers, especially 2001 FG where Matt would actually challenge himself a little vocally at the end part
-
Explorers was a prime piss break slot for me, probably the only song I would use for that at a Muse show

I was never really a fan of the tremolo-y/ cutting in and out synth part they'd put in the "Our hopes and expectations" part live (not talking about the arpeggios, those are great), especially when it was just that and no guitar
