  1. Not sure - it was meant to be before now, but they sent me an email a couple of weeks ago saying the process was being held up because one of the directors had a 'health setback'. Sad to hear. But it was good of them to explain the lack of news.
  2. Oh, jeez, sorry to hear that. Hope it all turns out OK. Thinking of you! And your brother, obviously! But, yeah, really exciting about the wedding. The job is senior writer for the national horse racing newspaper, The Informant. Not super confident - I'm probably not experienced enough to be a 'senior writer'. But hopefully they'll see potential in the examples I've sent them of my writing and want to take me on in some capacity! But at the same time I'd be really gutted to leave so many good friends at my current job - big decision to make if I do get offered something!
  3. Hey! Flat's great - still loving the ferry commute. Might not be so fun on a cold, wet, windy winter morning... Yeah, I'd love to see them. No plans at the moment, though. How's things with you? Also, how does this work?
  4. Have you guys seen the music video for Supremacy? Fucking hell. I really love the song, but this is one of the worst things they've ever done. And not only is it terrible, it's totally wrong for the song. Goths going surfing on a hot, sunny day? NO. When I listen to Supremacy, I think night-time, thunder and lightning, James Bond on a high-speed car chase along a dimly-lit, deserted country road. I do not think of goths having some fun in the sun. What have you done, Muse?!
  5. I am saddened. Haha, this is classic. http://web.orange.co.uk/article/quirkies/Couple_quit_jobs_over_saucy_emails I love that they have a stock photo for stories about saucy emails. Also, "I love making love to you it's ace"? Really? 'Ace'?
  6. Doesn't sound fun at all! Poor you. Why do so many of us still like our prime minister? "If I had a dollar for every rumour, well, then I'd be richer than, arguably, I am. *smug grin*" Seriously.
  7. Haha. Ideal, really. Here's a sneak peek of what's to come on the news: a special Christmas message from the All Blacks coach, Steve 'life of the party' Hansen. I like how they tried to make him look more festive by adding a Christmassy border.
  8. So Madness came on Juice TV last night when I was watching with flatmates. I was all excited and talked it up. But it really is a strange video, innit? My turned to Still love the song, but...
  9. Oh, no worries! Completely understandable. Crazy time of year. Flatwarming was good, thanks! Pretty good turnout. But I'd bought quite a bit of beer and wine, and heaps of them brought their own. The fridge is packed! Our department at work had our Christmas lunch today. It was brilliant. I was organising it again this year, so I'm pretty stoked with how it went.
  10. Flatwarming's tomorrow. You're welcome to come along if you don't have other plans! I've put together a playlist featuring loads of Muse and quite a few songs by The Jim Jones Revue (fucking awesome band), Ash, Pet Shop Boys and more! Yeah, new place is great - love catching the ferry to and from work. Flatmates are a bit eccentric, but they're both overseas most of the time, so it's sweet.
  11. Yeah, the bed's still holding up strong! Not even creaking, which has to be a good sign. I think it probably should have been a two-person job - having someone hold the other end of the big, heavy sides up while I did the bolts and screws would have helped. But my friends are so much better than me at stuff like this, so often when they help out they kind of take over completely. I really wanted to do it myself. So I'm stoked that I did! Although all my muscles are still hurting two days later. Ooh, Bleeders reunion? Hadn't heard about that.
