  1. Could someone please articulate to me what flabbergasts them so much about the title track? Seems to fit perfectly well, it's actually MORE of a song than I was expecting. We always knew it was just an outro, did we not? I expected it to be less substantial than it is. It's actually a kinda fully fleshed out Gregorian kind of deal. And it's cool to hear Matt a cappella. And there are some really nice moments in there.

I certainly don't expect it ever to be played live, except maybe as just a backing track as an intro to the gig / a specific song.

I just can't get past the lyrics. And when he starts going on about being Dead Inside again...that's the part where I lost it and burst out laughing

  2. JFK and Defector - 8/10 (solid rock stomper)

Revolt - 5/10 (saved by some nice guitar work)

Aftermath - 6.5/10 (could've been an 8.5 but for the last minute)

The Globalist - 3/10 (what even is it???)

Drones - 0/10 (worst Muse song ever)

I put this slightly above The Resistance and T2L

Reapers, The Handler, Defector saved it from being a complete disaster

  3. Just occurred to me that Reapers - The Handler - Defector is 3 drop D (which is generally another way of saying "heavy") songs in a row. Is that the first time Muse have done this?

I'm fairly positive Mercy is drop D too so if you include Psycho that's 5 Muse songs in a row that are Drop D tuning.

    Dead Inside is Drop C!!

Basically it's technically the heaviest Muse album so far
