What's the earliest time a radio station has said? (UK)
Psycho appeared early on iTunes to purchase. At around 17:30 I think, so that could potentially happen again.
-
To build hype and get people to listen. Doesn't mean shit coming from a radio station.
Well I was just relaying info on the song that I found. Better than people speculating ridiculous lyrics, which helps no-one
-
To be fair, I doubt a radio station is gonna be like "Listen to the new Muse song here on our station, it's gonna be terrible!"
No, but they could've just said "listen to it" like all the other stations have said on Twitter. They have chosen to express an opinion on it
-
On twitter, this radio station seem to think Dead Inside is somewhat mind-blowing:
@the_edge: We'll have the new @muse single "Dead Inside" today at 3:30pm! Prepare to have your mind blown!
-
Overall what we know of this album's theme is pretty generic, but the sequence of:
Captivity through indoctrination > Slavery to your captives aka "drones" > defection from the captives and rebelling against them
sounds quite exciting nonetheless.
Could make a decent movie that!

my best pic...
Only full song i managed to record (FURY)
Great vid!

I think that might have hit me at some point during Bliss!
I don't know if they can ever top last night for me. The first half of that set might as well have been plucked from the 'perfect setlist' thread, and the band and crowd were on top form.
My only complaints were quite a few of the big songs sounding slower than usual (TIRO sounded very slow) and muddiness in Chris' bass tone. Thought the beginning of Starlight sounded awful.
Didn't really mind that triptych of big singles after Hyper Music though. Sweat was pouring out of me and we all needed a rest.
Also, the complete non-reaction Uprising got was hilarious after everyone had been singing along to the Groove riff.
Very much agree with this, especially Chris' muddy bass tone. Thought it was quite prominent throughout when it's usually perfect! That was the only negative I had regarding this gig
-
Also people were screaming for Showbiz and Matt heard and said "sorry I didn't get the memo", before launching into Dead Star
-
Great setlist and crowd, but I've gotta say Chris' bass sounded wank tonight and I was stood right next to the sound desk. You couldn't make out the individual notes he was playing a lot of the time. Bit of a shame, still a decent gig though!
It was genuinely fun not knowing what song was coming next. Fury made my night!

Just got in. A couple in the queue tried to buy tickets 'on the door' and were shocked when the guy said they were sold out! LOL
-
Life is too short to be stood like a Drone for half a day, I will be watching the Lpool v mange game before even travelling to the gig and will prob show up as doors open, from experience from gigs over the yrs being up at the front is not necessarily the best place to enjoy a gig
This!

Just got another ticket on ticketmaster...go go go!
-
I'll be turning up at 8:30pm and just joining the crowd somewhere around the middle. No doubt I'll be near the front by the end of Psycho.
Never really understood people turning up at lunchtime to queue for 7 hours
-
Wow, I was so wrong about this...
I was one of the people who was disgusted by the omission of 5 of the best songs of the night, but it actually worked somehow. Didn't feel overly short or long, perfect 'movie' length.
The whole thing blew me away, even songs that I'm sick of hearing live!
My only negatives were:
The amount of black and white shots
Matt being OVERLY cocky. Yes i get that he's an ace frontman these days but sometimes some of the faces he pulls whilst soloing or singing are the most cringeworthy thing ever.
Panic Station after Supremacy didn't work for me either. Those dancing world leaders looked terrible on the big screen!
Other than that it was awesome!
Personal highlights include:
Knights Of Cydonia
Guiding Light (no joke)
Supermassive Black Hole (seriously)
Survival
I will probably buy the DVD too. I took my girlfriend who has no interest in Muse and she LOVED it
-
haha, i'm the only 1 to have seen
Cave
Uno
Fillip
V2001 baby (1st muse gig for moi)

Stockholm Syndrome got a fairly overwhelming reaction I seem to remember. First thing we had heard from Absolution.
Knights also got a great response when they played it at Radio 1s Big Weekend for the first time. But then the studio version divided some fans initially.
